Hi Jingles, Thanks for featuring my replay! I wouldn't have been able to achieve this result without the help of the T-29, arty and Tiger 131. Shoutout to them as well! The KV-5 is an absolute meme and I would recommend it to everybody as it is currently available in the Bond store. Is it the best tank? No, certainly not. Can it surprise people and inspire teamwork? Yes, definitely! Is it fun and makes it good credits? Hell yeah!

I remember when the KV-5 was first introduced to the game, and everyone that owned one drove like an absolute asshole because they thought they were invincible. It was closer to the truth back then, until word got around that the name of the radio operator was Achilles Heel.

@@trobi such advanced play was rare in the early early days, where tier 5 players grabbed a KV-5 and threw it face-first at the enemy after dealing 1000 damage to their own team leaving spawn without avoiding other players

I still remember the days of KV-5 ass-tanking. Rear armor was just as good as the front armor, without the weak point. So get where you're going, swing the turret around, and let your ass do the tanking.

Thank you Jingles for uprising my AT8 stock grind trauma again 😂. The best Godzilla in Ramming is for me still the KV 4, when a JPanther 2 thought he could with full HP Ram kill me from behind while i was tracked, well just lets say the Jpanther 2 is in rust, and i got away with it even on low hp ... that was a experience what that player wont do anymore 🤣

You can combine the KV-5 with 2 FCM 50t's to create the KV train, the nightmare of anything on the reverse side of a hill.

@@robert-janthuis9927 its even easier to fool enemy to ram like i had it in my kv4 (think even has more weight then the kv5) and just get tracked in a downhill gap, and let the ones come rushing you to ram who dont know your armor and weight 🤣

My first encounter with a KV-5 I was in a panther and I had no idea what a KV-5 was but my thought process went about like this 1. I’m on full health and and my team has a 2:1 advantage on this flank 2. The panthers a rather heavy medium 3. The KV-5 is down slope from my position 4. Cowabunga it is then Worst decision ever

reminds me of a game I recently had in shooty boats. If I recorded my games, mighta been my first Jingles submission. Entire enemy team came through the middle of Two Brothers.... one at a time... ok not entire team... but at least 5 or 6 of them...

The console version of WOT has a kv-5 variant that has the kv-4s top gun, the long 107 millimeter cannon. I don’t have it right now but have played against a few of them. What a nightmare.

In the first replay he managed to capture my team in action. I was lining up for random battle but got the same guys anyway, we had different tactics for different maps obviously, but majority ended in giving me oportunity to farm amazing scores but dying 8v1 instead. I cant remember why I quit this sheep of a game...

Actually Jingles calling it having two KV-1 engines is half-true. The KV-1's engines are the same type as the T-34 and was first used for the BT-7M prototype. So it has a two Medium Tank engines that struggled to get a decent speed out of the KV-1 with just one engine in the thing.

I didn't have the KV-5, but had my favourite AT-15A which had protected MM, so a t7 would only see t8's, but that was years ago in my 2014-2016 era where now probably very out classed. But then it was fun, made credits even though it was as slow as a block of flats on the move, but still liked it....:)

The KV-5 seems to be a tank where pretty much everyone wins. If you know what you’re doing, you can make the armor very effective when driving one, or farm heaps of damage when you’re fighting one. Wargaming sells their gold ammo to players who don’t know any better. Almost as if everything works properly when big heavies still have frontal weak spots.

Second battle: KV-5 Engine "Tactical-Technical Requirements For a powerful diesel engine The diesel engine is meant to work in the KV-5 heavy tank. The dimensions of the engine are set by the Kirov factory. The diesel must produce 1200 hp at 1600-1800 RPM." Not sure even that is good enough for a 100 tonne tank lol.

This lemming like behavior is more common than you think. Tanks just hitting a rock over and over, mindlessly following one member through shooting galleries, their turrets targeting ground even while being hit, not responding to being hit like they are afk, etc. The game is infested by bots.

I remember screenshots of KV-5 with like 20 holes in R2D2. Any how any tier VIII tank is good as top tier. The imagine KV-5 vs STI or E75 or 50TP armor or Concept 1B or Conqueror on the ridge. Or share damage out put of other Tier IX heavies. Even gold ammo will bounce every shot.

Ah yes. The T-14. I still have mine but only because I'm too lazy to sell it. My 2nd tank premium tank was the KV-5 and some of my best games are in it. Now I want to ram the crud out of people with it. My 3rd premium was the Lowe. I remember in clan wars you would see like 6 of them roll around the corner along with a couple Maus and T-95s. My highest XP is in the Lowe.

The KV-5 was I think, my second premium tank. I liked it...for a bit. Until they nerfed it. And then beat it bloody with the shell normalization nerf that was supposed to be a buff to heavily armoured tanks....but was even more of detriment, since one of the common factors amongst the heavily armoured tanks like the KV-5, and the Maus? Guns with bad penetration for their tier, and the KV-5 was one of the _worst._ Yes, let's take the the KV-5, which already had the worst penetration of, I am pretty sure, all tier 8 tanks at just 167mm, and _NERF IT HARDER!_ They have since buffed the shit out of the KV-5s gun, but back then? Holy shit was it terrible.

I miss launch day and it was just Mutants vs Mutants full teams of them. Do at times still miss playing the WG titles, but I know in their current state they are just no fun. Rest in peace T-44 you shall always remain my favourite in game, a driving ammo rack that everyone ignored, but I loved so much I told my T-54 to get you back cause I preformed better in you :)

2:50 let me just say, I'd feel a bit robber off of some contribution with this T-44 here. Apersonthingy tracks him in place, after which the T-44 gets promptly deleted from the match. Assisted damage? 0. Why? Because there was AC 4 Exp. in front of the target *spotting* it, and I'm using the word spotting very loosely here. I'm just saying, if you're charging in front of that many tanks and get tracked in place, it isn't the spotting that is getting you killed in such an efficient matter.

Laugh all you want at Tiger 131's crew, Fury's crew were by far the more stupid of the two crews in that engagement in that hilariously bad yet somehow good movie. They were in an M4A3E8...they had an M1A2 76mm gun that even with standard AP could penetrate the front of Tiger 131 at an absolute minimum of 500m and more realistically out to 900m. With APCR (or rather HVAP) it could do so out past a whole 1,200m...so obviously they charged to within point blank range and absolutely had to attack the rear armor...which is the same thickness as the side armor...the side armor 20mm thinner than the frontal armor that Fury could penetrate anyway...nice going Brad XD.

I couldn't stand the KV-5 when I first had it. Although I think it was before the buff and when it was at it's weakest point due to power creep. No I didn't pay to get a refund. I just sold it and got the credits. I enjoy the KV-4 but the KV-5 felt like a really slow hellcat with minimal armor at tier 8 because of the R2D2 turret in the front. I may consider getting it again and trying it now with the buff though.
