CAMPERAS in future, when arty is aiming and has spotted you, don't sit in the open aiming back. just drive sideways away and fire on the move. will take longer BT they won't be able to return fire as easily. even when normal tanks have you spitted when there is arty left and you are in the open.

I'm the same way Jingles. It was actually your video review of the Tiger H all those years ago that got me to play WoT in the first place. I did exactly the same thing you did. Bumbled my way up the German heavy tank line right to the Tiger and was immediately pissed that it wasn't as good as it's real life counter part. This, despite you mentioning exactly that issue in your review. Good video as always!
Tiger 1 is probably the most underestimated tank in the game. I have only 55% victory rate, but 74% in the tiger 1. People think its weak because it has relatively weak armor. Its strength lies in the amount of hp (tier 8 hp on tier 7) and dps. The tactic is deceptively simple: just drive in front of the enemy (sidescrape for added points :D) and chew him up faster than he kills you. Because you have high dps and a lot of hp, you will win. You can shoot (and penetrate) twice for every enemy shot (that may bounce, the armor is not that bad, especially the turret) and the extra 300hp compared to other heavies is absolutely HUGE, most people dont realize how big of a difference it actually makes.
Hence why i stacked camo for mine and why i despair when i am top tier, because i have to sit close to the front lines. That, or i just tell any tank with actual armor to be the heavy. I once told that to a type 59 on my team, because he was the only tank with good armor, and i was the only heavy out side of tier 6 on our team.
I would argue that camo is much, much less effective than most of the other practical skills on the Tiger because of it's shitty camo rating. It makes a difference of maybe 10 meters at best, I'd personally rather have improved aim or turning speed or even spend all that time to get BiA or something that I can reliably make use of all the time, I'd save camo for a third or fourth skill. That said, you do you boo, if it works for you I'm not gonna criticise.
NEVER,,, with the exception of myself and buds that used them. For the past 3 years of gaming. I have not seen one TIGER on our teams that did anything other than CAMP in the rear. ( NA server ) Ive submitted so many replays to tech regarding camping Tigers..that they asked me to stop.. It's so bad that the going joke now in our games is a How fast will the tiger reverse and camp when the game starts
Richard Elbe well, Tiger's armor is not a reliable protection against even the same tier tanks and it's pretty big and boxy. Tiger has a very good, accurate and rapid firing gun. Camping in Tiger is not such a bad idea, really.
Got the Tiger. Didn't like it. Played soviet tanks. They were ok. Returned to the Tiger.... realized just how much more accurate its gun was. Liked it after all. :)

Actually Jingles, the KV-1's turret(the only part of the tank that can spot on a turreted tank) was behind the building, so it was impossible to spot the Tiger unless he got proxy spotted.
they already have that in the tiger's prototype the VK36.01H. they did similar with the panther when they brought out its prototype the VK30.02M. Both of those vehicles are fantastic at tier 6
Un1qz I've often wondered this myself. Looking at what other nations have available, I think the Tiger would still be a balanced tank even at tier 6. More competitive yes, but I don't see any reason why it should be overpowered at that tier, as I've heard some argue. But alas, the Tiger likely will never be available at tier 6. Or is it? The Heavy Tank No. 6, so far as I can tell, is simply an historical Tiger with Japanese markings.
Actually Jingles, I can explain what the Bishop was doing here : this arty has a gun who cannot fire beyond a 500m range, so he has to go closer in order to shoot at ennemies. And his speed is not like Bert's speed, so he cannot run away when the last tank spotting an ennemi Tiger (here, Cromwell) dies to the said Tiger.
This match was like Alien for the enemy team. Six against one, and three of your team mates die without knowing where the enemy is, and you not knowing if you are next or not.
Yup Jingles, same here. That's was the tank I wanted to get to, so I started down the line that lead to it. Now that was around August of 2011 and now my German tech tree is all over the place thanks to the rearranging that's gone on, but it's been a fun ride.
If no one minds me explaining something, when he shot the afk KV-1 near the end, he was going to be spotted. EXCEPT... in order to spot a tank, one of your tank's "Optics" has to have direct line-of-sight to the target. That KV-1 didn't.
Jingles someone at WG leaked the British Battleships! KGV was leaked at T7, WW2 Lion is T9, and an improved Lion, named Conqueror, is T10. In one image the T10 had Radar!
Completely my case too: The Tiger was my first tier 7 tank, because I wanted it so bad, but was not interested in the rest of the line. Now I have a couple tier ten's, but not even unlocked the E75.

He didn't get spotted by the last KV-1 because the KV-1's turret was around the side of the building when Fiq fired. Therefor, he was not even within line of sight of the KV-1.
Yeah, i love the Tiger 1. The armor mades medium tanks blush, even when angled, but provided you dont get hit, you can do massive damage. In fact, it is the only tank I have 3 marks of excellence in, surprising considering how many people play for the Tiger 1.
Actually Jingles, you forgot to take camouflage into consideration in your last calculation. The Tiger hasn't got good camo, but it has some, and thus you need to subtract the effect of the camouflage to get the effective view range. Jingles? [Gun cocking] [Boom]
At 8:13 Fiq didn't get spotted because of spotting mechanics. Only the kv-1's front end was poking out, not his turret, and thus he couldn't see Fiq when he shot. Nice game!
Since artillery was made totally *blind* in the hated 9.18 patch that destroyed artillery and threw all game balance completely out the window, greatly harming the game, the Bishop was blind firing at locations where the enemy tank may have been, as they could do nothing else. Smart.
Yeah becuause it was so balanced before when arty would one shot you from the other side of the map when you had no chance to fight back or they would shotgun you

Jingles he actually healed his injured gunner just betore starting to shoot at the gw panther ! It came off cooldown like a second before he went over the hill.

I can see why people would be disappointed with the Tiger's performance in game. Historically, the Tiger's gun firing APCR rounds was capable of penetrating 110mm of armour sloped at 30° from a distance of 2000m. That's enough penetration to punch through the t-34's armour from virtually any angle at maximum range.
"Actually Jingles", one arty still gets both shot and heat rounds. (the LeFhB2) I only ever met one player mad enough to load up with heat pre the big updates, but it's nice to have something to do on Himmelsdorf.
Anyone else notice he was on 4 health remaining and he had dealt 4444 damage up to that point? The KV-1 in the town didn't spot him because the KV-1's commander's hatch was behind a building. He could have been in a M48 Patton and not spotted him in that kind of position.
this was the same reason why i wanted to play world of danks blitz because i wanted to play the tiger. and look at me now i have the tiger 2 and it still is great. i also have kv2, t34-85, chaffee, pz 4 GUP edition, t23e3 and the jagdpanther
Jingles, now that you gave warthunder another shot, can you put the Air Force part of your Mingles with Jingles intro back in? I always love those Epic Land, Sea, and Air Combined Arms with The Mighty Jingles vibe that it gives. Was a bit sad when you cut out the Air part of it when you decided to leave warthunder after that incident.
jingles, that kv1 didnt spot him because his view ports where behind a building. just his front drive wheel was poking around the corner. he could have been 51 meters away from him and still wouldn't have been spotted.... but i'm sure you knew that lol ;)
Actually Jingles, that part about him being two meters outside the view range of the GW Panther is not entirely correct. All tanks have a concealment rating, which impacts the spotting range, and so does the crew training level.
looking at the enemy team results at the end of that, it looks like the hummel had a better game then the G.W. Panther who must've been hunting for low health targets that match, or hunting moderately damaged vehicles that were in range of 1-2 shot kills
*Gets tiger* "It's shit" *Upgrades tiger* "Still shit" Even with best gun, tiger simply can't deal with tier 8 tanks. Especially the overpowered ones they have added, like the Defender and Chrysler K. And it has no armor. Even the Japanese tiger at its rightful tier still isn't good enough.
And it always gets tier 8. It would be great in top tier, sure. But it never does. Then again, I haven't played it. I played the tiger p and the HT no 6, and my conclusion from this was that the tiger is shit.
I'd argue that neither tank is properly representative of the Tiger I, however; the HT no 6 has the short 88 and thus lower penetration, and the Tiger P lacks the rate of fire, gun handling, and mobility of the Tiger I. A properly-driven Tiger I can leverage its DPM into a significant amount of field control, even against tier 8s and some tier 9s. While it's true that the Tiger suffers against the crazy premiums that WG keeps adding, this is also the case with many tier 7s. Saying that it can't deal with tier 8 tanks at all is simply not the case.

When I got the game I rushed to get the M4 Sherman because I saw FPS Russia shooting a real Easy 8 on his channel and telling how good that "M4 Sherman" was in World Of Tanks. So I downloaded the game.👍☺ Then I went on RU-vid to see what WOT was all about and I saw a dude called QuickyBaby showing a 1 VS 10 Hetzer replay and I was like " Fuck it I rush the hetzer". And I rushed the Hetzer first. Funny enought I had my M4 Sherman but I never researched the Easy 8 after 20K battles 😂
I will often find whioe playing heavies that by the time I get into position, my team has left me the last one alive without my team killing a single enemy machine.
The KV1 didnt spot him because his turret was behind a wall. in WoT You actually have multiple points of "being spotted" all over the tank and only 2 "viewports", one on the gun mantle and one on the top of the turret.

No matter how good the kv-1 crew could have been, or what equipment he used, he would have never spotted the tiger due to spotting mechanics. His gun mantlet and commanders hatch (which are the points you spot with) were behind the building so line of sight was blocked. His front however (a point that allows a tank to be spotted) was sticking out which allowed the tiger to spot the kv-1 with no danger of being spotted in return
Yes Jingles! I am in your category. Same reason to play WOT. Got my Tiger I first and it's so shhhhhhhhhhhhitty, until now my Tiger I win ratio still suffers after 3 years of playing. lol
At the end I would of not fire at the artilery, rather gain some distance and shoot it with the longer view range or follow it to town and be safe from the other one at least, dealing with the first scumbag.
The thing about Tiger is it has 1500hp.Which means you can kill any tier 8 tank with your dpm, you always will survive assuming you penetarete them with that amazing gun.
