World of Warcraft's Most Famous & Infamous Players

On my server we had a level 1 human named Chair, who would go around to various buildings in the alliance capital cities, and announce how many chairs were in each building. He counted himself as one of the chairs.

Awww, we had an orc player who was basically the best friend of the Alliance. He just chilled in our cities, waved to us and did not even kill the vendors (most of the time).

I remember meeting an undead rogue in vanilla wow on a pvp server inside a random empty bar in Stormwind surrounded by his Alliance friends. This undead Rogue, who was shrunken due to noggenfogger, had actually figured out the language system and was able to type Orcish in such a way that it was readable to people who spoke Common. Sitting around drinking with people I'd never met, interacting with a horde member peacefully for the first time trying to learn his language was one of the best, most surreal gaming experiences I've had.

You forgot for the Dives rage moment is that in Hearthstone, the Raid Leader card has references to the video. Such as the line "Hit it very hard" and "Handle it!"

Man, it's been years but I still remember hearing about Angwe, even though I didn't even play on his server. A lot of this stuff I didn't know about however, like Kralnor and his staff posts. Really well made video, dude. I learned a lot!

I remember a female player who offered herself in exchange for an epic mount, and got it. I think her original post said "you can mount ME"

He yelled at him for being on a roleplay server and says he should join a normal server instead, but the dwarf literally joined in on the roleplay whole heartedly

I find it insanely hilarious that someone who was roleplaying in public on a MMORPG chided the person that found him about his "gall and indecency."

I don't even play WoW and found this very interesting.

One of my college professors was the first blood elf to ever get Thunderfury lol. He still plays and is simply amazing at the game.

Interesting how Blizz changed. They let him keep the amulet, if it happens now they'll ban his account and claim he exploited the system

Indalamar is just a perfect example of how the "meta" in most games is a fluid thing, and if you try hard enough you can usually build beyond it.

My brother told me of a rogue called Knives (Mal'ganis I think) in Burning Crusade who was in a group that killed Kael'thas and had his phoenix mount drop. The loot system was set to rolls instead of master loot. They were told to skip and redo the loot under master loot. Knives rolled need on it, got it, and quit. He quickly became infamous on that server as he would AFK in Orgrimmar on the mount and everyone would come to spit on him.

There was a priest on my server during Wrath that would spend all day slow falling from the tallest building in Dalaran and then tell us how far he'd gotten. He almost made it to Wyrmrest Temple once.

Leeroy should have been number one. I have never played wow but I have heard of him. The rest I have never heard of.

here is another famous name, Doubleagent, the pandaren toon that hit level 110 without being either alliance or Horde. He reached 90,100 and 110( on each expansion accordingly) without ever leaving the starting zone.

What a compilation of cool stories. Never heard of a game that had "legendary players" if not for E-sports or something like that. This is like the community building the story of the own game. That's incredibly beautiful. Imagine having your character becoming a legend and all player around the world knowing your name hahaha. Fantastic.

On my server(back during the WotLK invasion events), there was a level 1 Hunter who, every day at the same time, would run through Org yelling "the ghouls are coming! the ghouls are coming!" and then Feign Death outside the AH(he would stay there for about an hour, sometimes moving so he wouldn't get kicked, but always FD'd again) People used to crowd around and wait for him and /cheer him on or /pat him to make him feel better. Little did we know, he would continue to do it, for the WHOLE expansion and then "the Dragons are coming!" started when Cata was announced. I stopped playing during Warlods, so idk if he's still doing it, but he did it for every new expansion that I saw. He never leveled that Hunter, it was made just for those moments. his commitment to it was admirable.

I'll share a story here, that no one will read, but this video made me remember my best experience I've ever had in a MMO. Wow came out and it was a hit, everyone was talking about it, but back then I was ~7 years old. So when I came to my dad to buy me this game for birthday that was really close, he said yes until he saw how much money it costed. Then my grandma came over for my birthday and told me to ask anything for a gift so I understandably said World of Warcraft. (To clarify the only thing my grandma knew about games was when I was even smaller and played Commandos 2 where in the intro is a Hitler flailing his arms around so she came to a conclusion games=bad in about 3 seconds :^)) So when she heard it's a PC game she was like "Nah, gon smack you up and ask something different." So then I just said I want a little cake from nearby cake shop. We went there, I ate my cake, was about to head back home but grandma probably saw how sad I was so she was like "Fine, I'll buy you the stupid game, but I wanna see your school grades every month, once it will be even slightly worse I'm gonna take your game away" Isn't my grandma nice lady? Anyway she bought me the game and in my country (don't know if it was everywhere) when you bought it in a special shop, you had a card in the box which gave you first 3 months for free and THEN you needed to pay monthly. So I started playing and the only MMO I was playing back then was Runescape. Days went by, a 2 week long holiday came because my school needed to fix the roof after a huge thunderstorm and I was glued to the computer all day long. I couldn't ask for anything better, my older brother was away for a month, I had 2 weeks of free time when most of my friends were sick because of the cold weather so no one bothered me to go outside and honestly I don't even know how long I spent playing each day, but it was god damn alot... parents were angry at me, my sister wanted to play some board games or just do stuff, but I was grinding dem xps... Well, nothing special happend in my early days I met few people from my country so I added them and after the 3 months I asked my parents if they could pay for the next month. Once my dad heard it is payed monthly, he went to the PC, uninstalled WoW and took the box with the DVD. And off to Runescape I went again. TBC came out and soon after WotLK came too and I was still without a any way to play the game (Honestly if there was any way to play the game and not paying monthly I didn't know about it and all of my friends told me it HAD to be payed monthly) And then when we were cleaning before christmass I found the box with the game. I took it and since I had my own PC by that time I installed it right away, of course I couldn't log in but I tried to somehow talk my parents down to pay at least for 6 months, then I'll find some kind of summer job so I can pay it by myself for the next 6 months... yeah ... I was ~12 years old? Well my mom took a pitty on my little ass and agreed to pay for 3 months. I was so happy. Christmass came and because of all the family union and relatives I didn't see for many years I kind of forgot about that UNTIL. My friend came over the day right after christmass and told me that there are P R I V A T E S E R V E R S Where you don't need to pay ... well you've guessed it, I went to my PC, called him on skype and went on a huge night figuring out how to connect to a private server. Once we both downloaded the game with out shitty internets and some patches too, we were off and finally connected. I went for Undead warlock and my friend for Human Paladin and we said to ourselfs that we have exactly one week (the christmass holiday was ending in a week) and on the last day of the holiday we'll have a 1v1 fight to see who is better. I had a idea of going the same class and finally we've agreed on warlocks since it was a bit harder with the micro management of your summons. This... is the best time I've ever had with a MMO in my entire life. Yes I might played Runescape and play it TO THIS FUCKING DAY (With OSRS releasing on mobile the most of the time at work is some agility training or something I won't do in my free time) Well there I was Undead Warlock starting out really fast against another warlock (forgot which race he was) and in this short period of time I've met so many people, so many great friends which I talk with to this day ... it was crazy. It begun when I hit level 4 and random guy asked me if I need help. I was like nah thanks boiiii and explained him what I'm doing whilst killing some basic mobs. He then asked me if I wanna enter his guild and offered me a upper hand aganist my friend via some items that are hard to get on this server. I was like FUCK YEAH and he then helped me via power leveling and once I've hit some level he traded me a item I could wear. It almost boiled down to me starting Wow and instantly writing to this guy. It was weird since he was ALWAYS online, 6 AM, 2 PM or 10 PM he was there. To clarify english isn't my native language so I had a real bad time trying to say what I¨ve ment and one day he just said "Wanna call on teamspeak?" So I agreed and it was the cringiest, weirdest and fucking the most hilarious call in a history. We just say HEY, HELLO and then it was fucking 15 minutes of silence and awkward coughs. Once we went over that he started talking about how to deal with this location and that location and to add he was only 1 year older at that time so not that he was some fatass nerd in search of friends or some kind of pedophil, well And to skip the rest it was near our fight, when I've met ~10 people from the guild and my friend joined another guild. We both agreed on a place where we will fight and I don't exactly know the name of the location, but I know it was in a Alliance territory. I said at the guild I'm heading off, and 7 guys said they'll go with me to see the battle (mostly just to make fun of us how much we suck I think) And once I told my friend not to be scared but I'll have few people with me. He then later on invited few people from his guild and eventually 5 people came with him. It was supposed to be a battle on a field but there were aggresive mobs with higher level then me and my friends were so we moved the battle onto a near bridge. It was such a great moment, having 7 max level guys behind me cheering my name and on the other side 2 levels lower friend of mine with 5 max level guys cheering his name. I said one of my guild members will start the battle and once he said "FIGHT" we went nuts. Until this moment I've NEVER had a single pvp experience what so ever and my friend being the smarter actually went and tried some PVP/Duels. It was a close fight but the first round was his (We went for BO5) Then it was my victory and the round after I've won again. It was 1:2 me being one victory away from taking this 1v1 home and after the talk between the two guilds I let him win so it was 2:2 Fucking sweaty hands and forehead, my guildmembers cheering me up whilst his cheering him, but then the unthinkable happend. One of my guildmembers yelled "FOR NEWLIFERS" (our guild was called NEWLIFERS) and charged into the other guild's member. Before I could realise what happend 7 of my guildmembers were slaughtering 5 of the opposite guild but we being in a Alliance territory it was really bad, cus their guild member had it much closer to help them out whilst our guild had a loooong way to get there. Soon more people from my friends guild arrived and from a guild chat more of my guild was on the way too. Me and my friend agreed not to fight and just watch how the big bois are fighting instead. It took fucking 2,5 hours before it was over ... and from this day these two guilds were "at war" so whenever you saw someone from the other guild, you HAD to report his location and instantly there was a killer squad that head out this way. As I said this was the fucking best part of any MMO I've ever had and this "random guy" that invited me into the guild is still a friend of mine as a few others but with this one we talk/write and sometimes play to this game. Dota, League of Legends, PUBG, Sea of Thieves, Escape from Tarkov, Hunt: Showdown, CS:GO, Rainbow Six Siege, Warcraft 3 or Age of Mythology with some occasional Rise of nations. Honestly Lucas, thank you for being such a awesome friend and I can't wait to finally meet you next year. He lives in Sweden and I live in Czech Republic ... and finally I've saved enough money to be able to fly over there and visit him... damn even by playing Runescape for over 15 years soon I've never had such a great memory as this one which happend in a single week of playing on a Private server ... damn

I had a gnome rogue friend back in vanilla emulate Angwe. He'd chill in Orgrimmar most of the day, with a Horde character parked on his friend's account so he could keep an eye on general chat. He'd gank people in the middle of the city, and had a reputation for being both a skilled player and a nuisance. At one point he practiced stunlocking, and began ganking people while just wearing a pink dress and two level 1 maces. Easily one of the best players I ever met.

#2 2:37 Kramerr slaughtered an entire Horde City after another on a PVP Server. For an entire day as a level 60. The Horde was outmatched. It took Blizzard like a week to fix it. It was one of the most infamous slaughters in WoW History

As a proud ex-member of P4L on Laughing Skull, I'm happy to see Leeroy get onto this illustrious list of names. Great video!

I like to think that I was infamous for short period of time... Expand this comment if you want to read the story. In vanilla WoW I played a Night Elf Shadow Priest, and loved it. I played on a PvP server, and the problem was that, according to wowcensus, the server I played on was home to the largest Horde guild of all guilds on all servers, Goon Squad. They were so huge that they needed 3 or 4 sister guilds to accommodate all their players. I enjoyed world PvP, it's one of the things that excited me about the game. However, on this server if you ever encountered a horde player, in mere minutes entire parties of level-capped Goon Squad players would arrive, kill you, and simultaneously camp your corpse and the graveyard. I'd be 30 levels lower than them, and 5 or more opponents would be willing to spend a full hour of their day ensuring I couldn't take more than 2 steps with out dying. I loathed them. I never felt as though they were cheating, or doing anything against the rules, I just thought it was mean-spirited and not how the game was intended to be played. Then one day someone from the Goon Squad posted on the message board. It was an invitation, to a world event they were creating in which players of all levels would participate in a giant clash. Players were split into different level ranges, 10-20, 20-30, 30-40, etc. Each group of players was designated one of the many large bridges in the game like Tol Barad, Deadwind Pass, Frost Whisper Gorge, etc. Horde would be assigned one side of the bridge, alliance the other, and at a given time on a given day the two sides would clash in a world-scale pvp event. But I hated them, and I saw this as my opportunity to seek revenge for the daily ganking and griefing they inflicted on me. I was in the 40s, and I chose to head for Tol Barad on the north side of the Wetlands, where the players in their 20s would be meeting. I arrived early, and climbed the giant chains suspending the center of the bridge, and hit shadowmeld. As the chosen time approached, I saw dozens of players assembling on both sides of the bridge, but no one saw me. And then the time came. The 2 factions charged towards the center of the bridge, I would choose a target, and press the button for my favorite spell: Mind Control. 1 by one, the horde players would stop in their tracks. With stars spinning around their heads, they would turn 90 degrees, and take a running leap off of the bridge into the icy waters 100s of feet below. One after another I'd make them jump off. With no shoreline to climb back on land, they were forced to either swim half way around the zone or hearthstone away. Eventually they saw my perch atop the chains and tried to fight me, but being 20 levels lower than me they could hardly touch me, and it wasn't long before I'd throw them into the drink too. I loved it. To this day it's probably my most favorite experience in gaming ever. Some of my own guildmates criticized my choice to do this, but I've never regretted it. A couple years later, a buddy of mine actually spotted a forum post someone had made taking about the event, and shared screenshots of me controlling their body and throwing them over the side of the bridge. This was an organized guild of hundreds of players who routinely chose to grief other players to the point of being unable to play. Me throwing a few dozen of them off a bridge for an hour hardly compares.

Since I know we are going to miss these video's I'm rewatching all of them on a weekly basis :) You will not be forgotten my dear friend!

Nurgaladion (nelf rogue) from the server ravenholdt. He was so hated for his pvp skills in vanilla. Tbc and wrath. He was the scurge of ogrimar and strangelton vale/ gurubashi arena. The twinks hated him. He became so hated that about 20 guilds got together in tbc and collected enough Gold to buy the guild Zylos hand to gank Nurgaladion 24/7 for 2 weeks. Nurgaladion had dedicated hate websites and forums. Even went so far that there was a forum post offering real money for Nurgaladion Home adress and phone number. He was and Will forever be rememberd as the best rouge that ravenholdt has seen.

I really liked him him,he was correct in his breakdown of how CM's are treated,or were treated,it's gotten a little better.When he fought back with those idiots he was done,he was just hammered all the time.I remember the whole thing,I was a AGM and the GM of our guild left to raid with her new boyfriends guild....This is where I quit the game for a while. The nonstop bitching and fighting,it was horrid and just a microcosm of what he had to deal with.

Damn i watched all of these and i never played wow in my life, though in a backwards order, but you have a great and calm voice, topic wasnt that interesting to me, but you gave such great explanations everywhere and laid out stories so well that i understood everything. Man, Gedran was hilarious. "YAR YAR HUMP HUMP!" PS I remember years ago hearing about a group of roleplaying pirates who griefed a ton of players from atop a mountain. They totally stayed in character and even when a mod staff turned up they talked to her in pure pirate. Cannot remember their names but I know I read about them in PC Gamer UK.

You misrepresented some of the facts with analogkid. the guild gave him the bow, yes, but the the hunters had no problem with it. kiljaeden was on farm, they didnt have any more content to push, so a bow upgrade was really just for show, and they agreed to give the bow to analogkid because of all of his hard work during progression. the hunters werent upset by it, and they eventually got the bow as well, of course. the drama was on the forums, there was no drama within the guild about it.

Man If only the server Duskwood was just slightly more populated I guarantee the name 'DeadlyStrike' would be famous. He was sort of a server celebrity because everyone knew he was the worst. He gave in to every troll, so much so that he became the troll. A good portion of his pugs he would run (which would be multiple raids every single day) just failed. I got in several of his groups and oh boy was it a good time.

Most infamous Rogue I heard of around TBC, was the Troll Rogue 'Reptile' of Xavius EU. She would miss raids and other important Guild events just to stalk IF or Neutral cities all day, which eventually caused *hated* reputation of some like Gadgetzan, meaning even the AI had her 'kill on sight'. She was also kicked, quickly recruited, then recycled again through many Guilds for prioritising outdoor PvP over anything else - even the famous kick for turning on the rest of her Guild group in Booty Bay Arena. Hundreds of threads were made on that realm's forum about her, the most popular of ones where witch hunts for gold rewards.

i was on area52 when they gave the rogue the bow and the reason they didn't give it to any of the 2 hunters was because they were fresh recruits to the guild and it was their first raid with them. I remember talking to a friend that was in that guild about it and it turned out the 2 hunters quit because of it days later.

I wonder how many Inoteps and Artemisas are there in Classic, lol.

Wow, I actually remember Angwe. I played on Dethecus as Kroveron, a night elf priest, and I recall being ganked by him more than a few times. Ugh.

for druids, Alamo teechs u 2 play DURID! was legendary. we got pooped on so much back in the day and his guide made us laugh. not only did he explain the class and all our forms to everyone complaining, but he also told us druids to help one another, "u shuld always halp unother". how beautiful is that?!

If Indalamar is 'The Warrior' then you should also talk about Mute from 'World of Roguecraft 1-3' showing that Rogues could kill someone while being naked and with a 2dps weapon. Angwe was on my server. He camped the docks and killed people waiting for the boat. He was really nice but he infuriated people and he was a good player. He killed me dozens of times.

The funny thing about Zeuzo is that after he sold the account he was straight back in the guild playing as Zeuzonita. He had T6 and glaives back on the new account in no time.

Leeroy's story is a sad one, fucking blizzard cashed in on his hilariousness, while himself and his friends got nothing in return

I was hoping that Ezra would be on here, I remember back in the day playing on my old realm Norgannon, he was on alot. He was the reason for the Ashes of Alar and they even gave him the mount for himself for free, he died from cancer not longer after. Even has a quest in the beginning of Tauren quests, and also a crossbow or something aswell. Cheers, good video!!

Great video and good times, I was in the raid when Analogkid was rewarded the bow. Back then I didnt think it was such a big deal, loyality should be rewarded, and out of the two hunters in the raid, one of them already had the bow and the second one was still a recruit hence they gave the bow to Analog.

In Vanilla, on Shattered Hand, there was an Alliance player named Copperfield who would walk (yes, walk) around Blackrock Mountain in clothes (no armor on). I played Horde and we would see him all the time there and usually just wave to each other, although some players would kill him (and get chastised for it).

Did I just miss it or was there no Alamo?
