@@thegunslinger966 you had a top down view of the entire battle area! You could actually coordinate an attack with your planes and put some strategy into your attack. Not just make passes with a single group over and over until they got killed off
@@sayjack1328 indeed I think the old way is more strategic after all I enjoyed playing it on mobile and old version however I kinda got bored cuz of the interface Probably the devs can make a combination of the two playstyles Cuz the new one might not be as strategic, but I think it actually looks better cuz it it's more immerssive and you can get a bird's-eye view of the battlefield BTW in real history , isn't the point of carrier squadrons attacking a ship over and over again ? I mean, the new pkay style is pretty much historical right ? I'm not such an expert on naval warfare but I think it's like that
i love how there was a time, when playing a CV made sense and where you could have good success. its no fun from t8 on nowadays with all the powercreeps
Just found this vintage CV gameplay and had to watch. Beautiful! Edit: I sure do miss the jets and the days without strafing. Even the rage on the chat was so mild compared to what we read now. Glory days. Loved it.
not to be repetitive, but this hit me with a bit of nostalgia for the old carrier system. it was so fun. I never got past bogue, but I had a blast with her. I wish WG would go back to this system
+Tank_Stryker [WOWS] am still at the low tier of CV usa one, and i am very scared of the usa to turn to be suck late game at T 7,8,9 and 10 ... compared to lower tier up to Hakuryu i would like your advice please specially at Tier X usa/japan
+Unikage Better stick with IJN, as the only "weak" one in the line is Zuiho; however, it's not really that bad if you could get the eney fighters away and focus on sinking the enemy aircraft carrier. Zuiho usually deals 10-2k more damage per strike, excluding the fact that IJN CVs' loadout are always faster compared to that of USN. And starting from Tier 6 IJN aircraft carrier you can have 3 fighter squadrons or more in order to fend off against USN CVs in terms of air combat power, as 4x3=6x2 on the most fighters configuration.
Cause he was solo by himself and became a target. The old way of playing made players work together and utilize theirs weaknesses to the strengths of their allies. Like a cruiser escorting a BB to provide air cover.
i do reall miss the old carrier system, i liked it alot and i was very good in it, now with the new system i do just suck. Imagen bougth permiun carrier ships and leveling a lot of them, just to get to a new system, where you suck and dont like to play carriers anymore in this game.
14:40 totally balanced, idk how people didn't bitch at cvs back then compared to now. "oh it requires skill", skill to get obliterated 5x faster is a reason to find it 'fair'?
You should study WW2 Dive Bomber and Torpedoplane Tactics. Yours could be way better. Also your failure to seek out and destroy the enemy carrier first cost your team heavily. I dont play this game anymore, but at your tier, you could and mst score more with a carrier
Yes, but he had to keep his planes protected from the enemy fighters as well, and if he didn't and they got mostly destroyed, the carrier could have stayed up longer and killed more people, so in the end he did the right thing
exiarules another point is stay with your team, there were plenty of anti aircraft cruisers on each team. Fleets that stay together can mass their aa, you go off on your own you get focused. And he had to cover his bombers as you pointed out to that guy, carriers can help teammates when not doing a strike.
