As much as I find myself actually enjoying playing subs, I agree, it actually means that DDs can do depth charge attacks on subs without dying.

Altough 500 or so damage per torp is really low. Imo the damage reduc shouldn't be that high. Other commenter mentioned it benefits DDs who can more safely engage ASW maneuver but as a DD you should be able to outmaneuver subs and not take torpedo hits while sinking them.

@@sevinceur1766 if the sub player is bad and dumps them all at once its certainly possible (though dodging torps coming at you at over 100kts and take half your health off isnt easy in the best of times), but its super easy to bait DDs into dodging a couple torps (that would kill them if they hit) and giving you a guaranteed kill with the followup. and thats not even mentioning that a lot of DDs need to do multiple passes over subs because their depth charges only do a couple hundred damage unless they get a direct hit (and with a direct hit it does less than a splash hit from most BB depth charges)

I wouldn't mind if they were just increasing the arming distance rather than having to remember and guess if sub's torps would reach 3km.

Jingles never let's the truth get in the way of a good story.

The lack of soundproofing has proven to be the big weakness of Jingles's new home, from a recording standpoint. There's been increased background noise for a while now, especially sirens.

Yumihari is really a Tier 7 battlecruiser that Wargaming shoehorned into Tier 8. The new battlecruiser line really was disappointingly lazy with only 3 ships, especially after Wargaming actually went all-out with the German and British BC lines, making them full Tier 3 through 10 lines. At a bare minimum, they should've put Yumihari at Tier 7 and moved Amagi to the BC line at Tier 8, while adding Tosa to the BB line as Amagi's replacement. Preferably they should've *also* moved Myogi and Kongo into the BC line and replaced them in the BB with a couple of the early Fuso concepts (a 6x2 305mm armed version at Tier 4 and a 5x2 356mm at Tier 5). And the Tier 6 of the BC line would be either an improved Kongo with a 5th turret, or Haruna as just a Kongo buffed to the max.

Yeah the enemy team tried to go for cap advantage but lost due to being outmaneuvered in the ship combat. Had the friendly destroyer not selflessly ran at the enemy carrier that was about to sink our hero thus pulling the attention away from him that possibly could have thrown the match since the remaining ships probably would have been unable to bring enough firepower down on the clearly paying attention carrier who was not just deleted by the torpedoes launched at him like so many late-game carriers are want to do. Jingles himself never really commented on any particular moment where the match became a throw as is normally the case with a game of throws. One team started strong but was slowly outplayed and ultimately lost of ships despite a strong early cap lead which by the end was totally reversed.

The term paper tank as it's conventionally used by WoT players more refers to vehicles that only ever existed on blueprints, not really the quality of their armor. Since this ship was at least partially built, it doesn't qualify as paper tank status. You can say that it's armor is made of paper, but the exact phrasing of the term paper tank has nothing to do with armor. Yes I really did just type this all out when I know you won't care, just felt like doing it anyway.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but those are indeed spotter planes with a 10% accuracy boost

You make it sound like battleships never had scout/observation aircraft.

I think it may be either a bug or just both of us being retarded, but when you look at the actual circling aircraft, it does show a spotter symbol.

Nope those are indeed the accuracy boosters planes and not fighter planes, have you not played world of warships in a while?

Overmatch is a bitch like that, and you get people complaining that BBs aren't more accurate, while also complaining that Cruisers don't tend to leave their islands.

@@Skumbagbrad That is a bit the meta for the BBs nowadays, just be passive, not make a mistake yourselves and allow the other team the time to get themselves killed, then rack up the remaining kills and gloat. Very frustrating and reason why I am kinda burned out with the game the last few months. Much sweat and work involved, and then you end up relying on remaining team mates that might have a clue and secure the last kills, or prove to fold immediately under pressure cause they only understood the 'passive' part. Bonus points of frustration when they show themselves to be truly incapable by swinging far far out and get themselves isolated under the enemy push.

I would have quit for the day after two or three and tried again later. I'm not a great player, 53% win rate, so carrying the team all the time isn't going to happen, so watching two or three teammates charge in like co op bots is just too frustrating. Good luck in the future!

Sure, no Akagi was ever completed as a battlecruiser, but Amagi and Akagi where already on the slipways before deciding to convert them to carriers. Guns had been ordered and got transferred over as coastal artillery, etc. I would consider that a bit more than just a paper ship, as design was finished, ordered and in production, just not all machinery delivered in the final hull.

Agreed, the IJN split should have been to move the Amagi out of the Yamato line, dropping Tosa in her place, and run the new T9 and T10 as enlarged Amagi (32mm bow and stern over the 25mm)
