World of Warships Blitz - Pan-Asian destroyer "Fushun" review 

Thanks, I'm in Sydney (relatively close to the water), so the worst we've had to deal with so far was smoke and heat. It's much worse further inland. Not much we can do, got air filters and masks for outside when the AQI goes over 150.

She's certainly a candidate - I get historical camos for my favourite ships. The elite bonus is what I took on the Gnevny, but I'll check again the other one (I think I missed that in the video). Thanks for the diff - 8km torps o_O

Thanks, always great to hear. I'm mostly doing the commentary while playing, which means I can get a bit ... excited at times, I guess? Probably comes down to influence from Jingles' videos. "It's just a game - why you heff to be mad" :D If you haven't seen her yet, take a look at the Yudachi. Very fast deepwater torps, with a torpedo reload booster, you can put 12 in the water at the same time. Hard-hitting IJN ones. You get IJN guns as well, but they're not too bad. She's one hell of a stealth torper, and a recent addition to my "favourite ships" list. Of course, we don't know yet what this new line has in store for us :)

I know, certainly keeping that one around for now. I'm curious to see the rest of the line. Now I'm just lacking motivation to grind the Farragut...

They do suffer from the torp reload, especially that hitting from stealth is no longer guaranteed (we're in the business of teaching BB drivers not to sail in a straight line, after all ;p ). I gave up on the Kagero a while ago, but recently started playing her much more aggressively - giving up stealth to make sure the torps connect, since we really have to make them count. The guns on the IJN mainline DDs aren't actually that terrible (as long as you don't try turning them). But yes, I'd very much prefer if they didn't push "exciting" OP ships, then again, that's probably what they're trying - getting everyone excited about it, which leads to power creep. I'm curious to see how the DD meta is changing with all the radars coming into higher tiers. One good thing it does though, after months of seeing almost exclusively DD and BB play in 9 and 10, I'm starting to see Seattles and Worcesters, so maybe that at least breaks the stalemate up a bit, and gets us back into proper "rock paper scissors" scenarios.

It's only two tiers difference to the rest, given that you get the tier 4 for free on the pass. I'm more doing this since it's new and exciting for everyone :)

It is odd. The game started out with IJN, USN and Russian / Soviet lines. IJN & USN makes sense, since a) US is a huge market, and most well-known battles the US were fighting at sea were in the pacific. Russia might just be a home-market thing. We do have almost a full line of British battleships by now, but all premiums, plus the light cruisers. British carriers and tech tree BBs are in the PC version, so I'm pretty sure they'll come - they might have added the German lines first due to the fascination many hold with Germany in WW2. Not sure how well-known British naval power is outside the UK and historically interested circles. That said, completely beats me why they included the French BB line before the British. I'd sure love to see some more UK ships.

there are some more previews in crates, but I'm just going to wait for the line to be official in the tree. Shouldn't be too long. And yes, I'm most certainly going up that line!

especially that the deepwater torps apparently have a shorter detection. We don't have actual values, and they're not the super-quick ones you'd find on the Yudachi, but I like to think that they're a bit more of a surprise package.

Well, she was the Rekordny, which was a Gnevny class. Same guns, better torps, and smokes...

As usual for black ships, it's mostly a skill swap. Instead of engine boost and regular smokes, you get rapid reload and fuel smokes. I would personally prefer the engine boost, but honestly it doesn't make a huge difference imo. The biggest factor would be if you want to use it to swap captains, but an RR build doesn't match the PA DD mainline. Other than that, it's pretty much the same ship that you can get for free. So I'd only recommend it if the skills interest you, and maybe you don't have the free one, and aren't grinding that tree.

Ah, I still love the Yudachi. Three spreads of those quick IJN torps can one-shot or seriously damage almost anything at that tier. But agreed that this one is more versatile, curious to see what the rest of the line looks like.

Fun and games with Terry - I like Yudachi but get killed a lot after the first volley waiting for the long recharge with multiple enemy DDs/CLs. I actually lost 12 of first 16 games in Yudachi. I have not mastered the stealth attack from the flanks I see other people do. This could be a candidate for a future video?

But when the line comes you just use boosters. To get a this ship in the line lets say you play 10 games a day. If you are a good player, grinding to tier 6 should take about 3 days. maybe 2

I personally wouldn't have bought the pass for the resources alone, if I had known that the ship is tech tree (so basically free in a bit). That said, the value for money is generally not terrible, and if you get lucky with the crate keys, the better. I think there's about 2.5k gold in there. The grind isn't terrible. I usually finish in about two weeks, but I know of others who finish in a week easily. It's also XP based, so you can use boosters, first victory etc. to accelerate that. I think it should be perfectly achievable to get through this for normal, casual players, with an average of maybe 5 battles a day (I haven't done the math).

the resources are nice, but I probably wouldn't have bought it for those alone. Well, I'll get some crate keys now, so I just got to wait until something shows up there that I don't have yet, and try my luck ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Haven't been able to play the past days since I hurt my back, but I'm excited to get to it, and eventually see the rest of the line. I'm a bit concerned that the USN DDs are becoming less and less viable - first the Germans, then the IJN gunboats, now these things.

another one... ok, either that's a conspiracy to make me believe this, or WG has gone a bit off their rails for real. I mean, can you imagine that in a division with a Cleveland?

Tier 7 / 8 is kinda the high point of "dynamic" gameplay, agreed. The top two tiers are very different, since they're often played very tactical. I find them equally interesting, they just demand a completely different strategy. In mid tier, I can carry a game alone occasionally, in 9 and 10, it's essential to play together, since any weakness will be punished. DDs can push out, but they rely on cruiser support against other DDs and CV (if present). Cruisers, when moving forward, have to use hard cover, since they'll be punished by BBs very quickly otherwise. BBs need to know when a push happens, and when to support it - staying back, they'll fall prey to DDs once their screens are gone, pushing alone, they'll be focused down. Personally, while I find them more stressful, I like top tier games. It's a different kind of challenge, and coming out victorious can be as rewarding as deleting inexperienced players :) I need to do some more top tier content.

I've studied war history for years (as a hobby), and believe me, more often than not I've got to look things up. In this case, the Soviets sold her to the Chinese in the 1950s, well after the war. In-game, I quite enjoyed the Soviet line, at least until tier 6. I've got to practice a bit more with higher tiers. They are quite fun little brawlers :) Which one is your favorite?

@@FunandGameswithTerry thanks for historical info. ah it is after the war lol mine would be Tashkent for USSR's DD. though she is big, she is so fast and maneuverable that make her not easy to shoot and pretty tanky too :D But because of the size too Tashkent is delicious target for CV. They won't think twice to sent all their bomber and torp squad lol still I enjoy using her mainly to harass BB with HE and kiting CA/CL to team BB :DD

I've kind of stopped at the Minsk, but I'm going to have to give the line another shot at some point :)
