Well the obvious choice would of been the Vanguard but as with WG im expecting that to be a premium but also the Rodney or Prince of Wales spring to mind , im sure if WG can turn ships that were only on paper in to ingame boars then im sure they can fudge some stats to out ships in certain tiers

There was a mission set this weekend that allowed you to earn the tier 3 battleship plus a port slot upon release. There will be a couple more similar mission sets for the tier 4 and 5 ships as well.

Geeze I have almost 100 port slots and never payed for one.

@@yoshirofujibayashibleachoc5984 there are a lot of names for it. R class, Revenge, and Royal Sovereign. Revenge is actually the most widely accepted, but I prefer R class because it makes it sound like the RN had so many BBs they needed to ration class names by letter, like with the destroyers. Silly reason I know, but still it's pretty fun.

Max Elsoro It's gonna be named Rossiya (spelt that right?), it's gonna have 20" belt armor and 10" deck armor in the all-or-nothing armor scheme. It's gonna be equipped with 20 16" guns in 5 quad turrets config. Two turret fore, two turret aft, and a turret in the middle. This gotta (and better) be fun!

Battleships are resistant against smaller calibres, but there's nothing much you can do when there's a 1.5 ton shell heading your way at mach 2.

@@shaun1293 simply not true, at battle ranges in real life battleships did have trouble penetrating each other. What is the point of a 15 inch belt, when an 8 inch gun can be easily countered by an 8 or less inch belt at all but point blank? They were designed to be proof to their own guns at battle ranges, and they were.

John Xu lion didnt "die" at jutland, it was scrapped in the 1920's alongside the other battlecruisers (note: lion was vice admiral beattys flagship at jutland,so it was a battlecruiser) at least know what your talking about before you say it

Bismarck is 8. Lion survived Jutland. It's a different Lion, the class laid down in 1939

She saw action in the Battle of Jutland and remained in the Royal Navy up to 1920 when she was finally purchased and delivered for chilean navy and again was baptized Almirante Latorre.

According to a very quick data check on Wiki, Iowa was 5,000 tons heavier, 67 feet longer, 3 knots faster, had 82,000 more shaft horsepower, 813 more crew, 1 more gun of 1 inch higher calibre, 4 more secondary guns, 7 more 40mm AAA, 49 more 20mm AAA, but had 2" *less* belt armour and 1 *inch* less deck armour than Vanguard. So, I maintain: Vanguard is a slightly smaller version of the Iowa. And again, WG could put in a conjectural 16" (406mm) gun upgrade to make her "competitive", as they did for Gneisenau at Tier VII. In the real world, U.S. BBs also had to deal with a much bigger air threat so she obviously had more AAA. But you are just plain wrong about Vanguard having less armour.

Gneisenau's 380mm guns are a thing in-game because she was actually being rebuilt to handle them during the War. Vanguard, however, never had the option, and the British 381mm guns were good... for WWI. Even with supercharges, they're not at all enough for tier VIII+ combat.

Ngoc Bich To WG probs didn’t see them as a large enough development. But a Revenge or a un modernised QE would be better then the modernised QE in the tech tree, especially when there’s a modernised Warspite.

I know its not a big deal and Bellerophon was not Dreadnoughts sister they were of two different classes.

First, the next destroyer branch is pan asia Second its confirmed that the next fench branch is battleships Third i dont think we need to already start waiting for some destroyers wich were scuttled before even engaging an enemy ship There are things that should have priority (cough fourth largest navy in ww2 still having 1 ship cough)

Wrong Lion, this is the WWII incomplete fast battleship.

Just as in real life, armor on many ships during ww2 and later dropped the large amount of armor in favor for larger guns, faster speeds, and alternative armor schemes. Think of it as a trade-off. Additionally, the heavy armor at lower tiers serves to help guide newer players into the game. By the time they reach higher tiers, they should be good enough to not depend on armor as much, or at least use what armor they have effectively. If you want a line with lots of armor, try IJN or KMS BBs.

Because they are trying to make a line 'unique' and don't realise that injecting one line with specific weaknesses and not others just making an unbalanced game.

The KGV is considered the second most well protected ship created, only behind the Yamato so having it weak and vulnerable makes complete sense.... wait, what?

@@Mohenjo_Daro_ accuracy doesn't factor into turret sizes. The DoY's performance Vs Scharnhorsts shows the quad 14s were very accurate guns.
