finally just got it. you're right: pricey, but fun.

I like this ship, but only co-op atm because there are always two CVs per match and this ship has no AA defense - sad. Good review as always!

I bought her due last week vanguard was gifted to me in a supercotainer, so I wanted the first and last bb in history on my game. Ps I paid 7 dollars because of a discount coupon

So, is it a fun ship to play?

This ship if fun to play unless you're loading into a 2 x CV battle where now most cv drivers are well aware Dreadnought has no aa, spent most of the game(s) doing torp beats in circles focused by the 2 cv's. If you try and stick to team mates for cover most will run away from you as you're attracting the heat,

Wargaming overprices ALL of their ships. $100 for a ship? FU! $18 for a crappy T3? No way. Also you're aiming too high. You overpenned a lot. Your left/right aim was spot on though!

Two CV per side has ruined playing low tiers. Shame it was so much fun playing tier 4.

WG needs more monaaaay comrades ! Remember when things cost like a tenth of the price.....mobile games and mircrotransactions messed up MMO's. They will add things like boosts to this game soon...... Asshats...

IMO, its really not worth the price. Now some of the reasons Ill give could totally just be me not playing well enough, Ill concede to that but at any rate... *AP seems really lack luster, Ive shot and hit several CC / BB, and even at secondary firing range it seems unable to hit citadels 9/10 times. Even at totally flat broadsides. While that could be a case of not shooting the correct area, I believe that any of the other T3 BB and even the T2 Mikasa would have landed citadel hits shooting at the same areas with far greater consistency. *No AA, however it is a T3 and its not like theres alot of T3 BBs that have even half way decent AA. So this is just a very minor issue. *The turret traverse is just infuriatingly slow. While the T3 ...counterpart, the Bellerophon shares the same 60 second 180* traverse. Issue being though that Dred is a "Premium" ship so having the same trav as its non prem counterpart is infuriating imo. Hell even just shaving 5 seconds off the time would be a God send. Now I could understand buying it just for "historical value", Its still not worth it for the stats as Eveangeline pointed out. As it is a tier 3 and lacks any real gimmicky value like the T2 Mikasa has, being the only T2 BB in the game. Its essientally just the Bellerophon with a different skin, while the Mikasa is totally unique.

No, Dreadnought is not worth the money, objectively. It's a decent ship, but it's not OP (like König Albert) and if all you want is sealclub, go buy an Ishizuchi, which is actually OP and is cheaper. Historical value cannot be measured, so if someone wants to spend 18 bucks (or their currency equivalent) on Dreadnought, cause it's HMS Dreadnought, that's up to them, but hardly justifiable based on the stats. And if all you want is sealclub, go get one of the typical sealclub choices of low tier, most of which are free. In regards to CVs, look at your positioning on the map, think about where the enemy CV must be. Then consider that almost no T3 has AA and how slow low tier planes are. Most often it boils down to, "Why should I strike this no AA target halfway across the map, if I can strike this ship over there that has no real AA either and might actually rush my 18 knot Langley at some point?"

It's hands down the worst BB i've ever played with. I gave it it's chance for hours and nope. It sucks. It sucks hard. Huge dispersions, slow, heavy, take flame easily. It's a pain in the butt.
