Hildebrand will be available in some kind doubloons containers (lootboxes?). I'm not 100% sure how it'll look, but didn't seem nice to get. Hybrid ships are tricky to play.
6:30. Why she is cruiser and not a battle cruiser? I think because WG didn’t want to copy Lothringen from Lesta servers(which German hybrid bb with two front small caliber gun turrets 3x2, but with special reload like in revolver or like that).
There was the in the German Kriegsmarine the Idea of an Cruiser Carrier Hybrid, the so called Fleuzer. When I am home, I try to look in my books for more informations. I think they were designed for attack allied merchant ships.
What if you wanted a T10 German cruiser and WG be like: Hybrid Seriously, the IJN fields the only hybrids irl in ww2 (not counting Gotland) and they get the worse ones haha
Now we wait for her for Coal. A cruiser you can secondary cruiser build at + kaga tier planes with more damage especially her Air arm Another O-class in my collection!
Everything wrong with these hybrid ships. It's so stupid, that they can spot for themselves and chain drop at will. When launching the planes, they go immediately on cooldown, which means, if you fly around and spot for 50 seconds, then drop and recall, your next planes are already ready to go again, plus the spotting during the drop phase. How it should be is, that once you drop, spotting should end immediately and both, planes and main battery should go on normal reload cooldown, to prevent this self-spotting -> dropping -> continue spotting -> shooting main batteries bullcrap. We also know how people will play this ship. Camp at the closest spawn island, sit there all game and only cosplay CV and once the game is pretty much over, they come out with a 70k full hp cruiser and mop up all the low hp ships. This game is evidence how late games will play out - there is no way to win close games with very few remaining ships as a DD or low hp cruiser. Absolutely horrible addition to the game. Even more cancer than normal CVs and subs, because they do one (planes) or the other thing (torps and have to travel to the target), but not everything at once, spot, drop, use main guns. It doesn't matter that WG plans to change spotting, maybe in the next 1-2 years. We all know it will suck, just like every other rework in the past, and every single day, week, month, potentially year, is just additional time to ruin the game fun for everyone else with these hybrid ships. Ranked is a total shitshow if one side has hybrid and the other doesn't. The spotting advantage is what decides the game outcome in most cases. With CVs at least both sides have a skycancer parasite, with hybrids it's usually only one side who is at a 100% advantage due to spotting without cooldown. And yes, as a DD-main I'm THIS mad at these ships. Concealment is worth jack. Flanking, tactical play, ambushes, everything goes out the window if there is only ONE plane in the game. Then they add even more cancer with the new secondary monsters that reach out to 15 km. Really?!?!?! Division a hybrid like this for permanent pocket spotting combined with a Libertad and a smoke bot Gearing .. how will you counter this, at all? It's really frustrating.
I saw a bug where the planes are labeled as Messerschmidt Bf-110C twin-engine fighters when the the planes themselves are Ta-152 single-engine fighters. I wonder if WarGaming will fix that soon.
Those are some bloody strange Bf110 torpedo fighters. The 110 was a twin-engine fighter-bomber with inline engines, not a single-engine Focke-Wolf-alike.
Possibly indeed. Also, imagine all the 457 battleships basically salivating at shooting it. But this ship is more vulnerable to fires than basically any other ship, because 60 second fires and no upgrade for fire and flooding reduction.
Good video. Stupid ship. There's so many historical ships they could add, many aren't even from a class that's already in the game too. Rodney's a good example of an interesting and believable twist/variation on an existing ship. Rodney did in fact fire torpedoes at Bismarck and killed its rudder - historical and relevant to gameplay! But no, they keep pulling these monstrosities out of nowhere, and powercreeping the real ships. Even when (and if!) they work gameplay wise, they stick out as a sore thumb in an otherwise somewhat believable roster. I really don't like being the guy that whines about the good old days... but man. When half the ships in your matchmaking are weird not-even-paper ships, it's just depressing. Doesn't feel like I'm playing a game that's grounded in reality anymore. I don't like the direction this game is taking. Like I said, it's not like these designs are the only option. Plenty of real, cool, ships to add, with fresh but believable variations.
Historically, Mogami has a hybrid version but that is not in the game too. Recently we are getting more imaginary ships and ridiculous gimmicks, which is straying away from what WoWs was originally. Which is sad.
Rodney is literally in the game brother. And Hildebrand is in fact based on one of the real proposals. It is always odd when people criticize the "fake ships" like WoWS is supposed to be a naval simulator. Ships don't pop in and out of an arbitrary concealment value. Ships don't carry unlimited shells and unlimited torpedo reloads. OG ship Zao was pulled straight from an enthusiast magazine and Hindenburg is no more or less fake than Hildebrand. The only period when WoWS would've been (if it ever was) dominated by real ships was 2015-2016.
@@IntelCorei-KProcessor-go2to Don't you just love when these history brainrot tourists come here and bitching about the game they don't even play? Also Hildebrand isn't real because no O-class proposals have carrier conversion plan, despite there was some attractions about hybrid carriers in German late 1942, none of these ever pursued because how dumb they're but doesn't stop WG pulling the excuse to produce another gimmick ship that nobody asking for.
@@IntelCorei-KProcessor-go2to Hildebrand isn't real because there was no carrier conversion plan for O-class, let alone they're barely laid down, despite some attractions to hybrid carriers in late 1942 which also previewed by Hitler, none of these are pursued, otherwise i agree with you on these historical brainrot tourists who doesn't play wows and come here bitching for some pity attentions.
Having fought Aerroon in this thing with my Castilla yesterday, I can confirm that the 90mm section is really good for stopping HE aimed at the flight deck although the main battery really wasn't too scary when kited and with a Petropavlovsk tanking with you. I was very surprised early in the match at just how many squadrons were coming at me and it was quite demoralising especially as it was on Shards where Aerroon was just behind the island on the north west side where my team didn't get eyes on him until after he was the only one left.
Funny. I ran into a Napoli from [WG]. And even he was surprised by just how many planes I kept sending at him (he was the closest on the flank so he got all the drops).
someone in the WG higher-ups must have a fetish on CVs, like who tf requested this abomination? Hybrid ships (or CV, to an extent) shouldn't be in this game at all
Well overall looks like a fun ship. Won't over hype this match at all when you see Low tier 8s and a suiciding german CV not using their 2ndys at all properly against you.
What do you mean Mogami is a hybrid? as in what? she was intended to be another 8" guns cruiser, Japanese arms her with 6.1" guns to comply with the London Naval Treaty and the "flight" deck version is late-war desperate attempt to compensate IJN lack of carriers.
did see trenlass try that ship and he said something terrible about it it isent limited so a squad of 3 can go and harras the living daylight out of the enemy team so once a min 3 squads of torp bombers and the divebombers on cd hope we dont see that tho
Seems that the optimal playstyle for it is Gouden L island hugging but instead of airdrops you get cv planes. In an ideal world you would only show your bow with 2 guns forward, letting the deck tank plunging fire. Unfortunately (fortunately) they gave it a 30mm deck and huge 27mm bow.
