I got it on first day release. I had the steel waiting there, but did not know what to get. As soon as I saw it, I got it. Good timing on my steel grind. I have only managed 2 games on her due to work. 2 " battles, 2 wins. 1 top position, 1 second. I love he game play, it's fun. No doubt I will get good games and immediate deleted on others, but hopefully always smiles.
i really like her, she is nice and squirrly, goes 40kts, has smoke and radar, and can stealthtorp. shes not a big damage dealer, but a very good supporter and annoyer. ;)
Great video as usual Aerroon! IMO, those of us that have the Ragnar and do well in it, will also do well in the Svea. I have always loved my Ragnar, but in the back of my mind I always wished it had either torps or smoke. The Svea has both and as additional turret! So for good Ragnar players, it should be ¨easy¨to play. But, for those that are not used to the Ragnar, I think the Svea is a boat that requires a higher skill level. Less experienced players shouldn´t get this boat until they have more experience.
Well, one of the issues you'll run into is that you're now taking the slot of a cruiser. That means that you're gonna have to weigh your contribution against something like a Petro, Stalin, Des Moines, Moskva etc. It can be tough.
25mm is standard for CLs that aren't small gun shell vomiters like Colbert/Smolensk/Jinan. Worcester & Nevsky & Yodo have 25mm as well. I'm a bit miffed that Svea is essentially a fake refit of a Tre Kronor-class cruiser. The only real notable difference is the torpedo and AA layout but I'm happy that she seems good at least.
There are honestly way more things that make the IJN CL line a complete joke, almost all of them being the fact that the CA line is straight up just better in every regard except for i guess HP and torpedo angles, maybe even AA. It's actually crazy that WG made an entire line for people to realise Zao is still totally fine and good. In all honesty, a Svea concept for a tech tree line might be a bit much. However considering she's a steel ship, they might make an actual swedish CL line completely different from her.
Unfortunately there really isn't a lot of material to base a Swedish cruiser line on. There's Gotland, a seaplane cruiser and the Tre Kronors which Svea is basically a fake refit of. Maybe you can stretch it and include the armored cruiser Fylgia at like t2 or something, but there really isn't enough to fill an entire regular CL tree with. We had a lot of coastal defence ships mostly which aren't really quite conventional cruisers either. And with the Netherlands and Spain given their own separate tech trees there aren't many other European nations to draw ships from, only Austria-Hungary and Greece had any notable cruisers from what I remember of which of course AH stopped existing after WWI.
@6:39 OK, How can you slow down and still be going 35.8 Knots Sensei Aerroon? I bet that good quality russian Quality Assurance is at work again? I eagerly await weegee being sanctioned for being an FSB/KGB plant...
In my opinion all light cruisers are pretty hard to play. Dds are much easier to me. I really wish ragnar had a set of 4 torps. That's one thing that adds to its difficulty. It's amazing when you're speed boost is up but slow brick otherwise. Real easy to eat torps in a ragnar. It's nice when you can back up a friendly dd, farm behind islands, or sometimes hang near your bbs just spamming enemy.
@@clmwrx Light cruisers have a really high skill ceiling and floor I find. You really need to know how maps work, how every ship works, and how battles play out. And even then a single mistake can mean you are back in port in one salvo. But if things works out you will be hated as you burn down ships. That being said even for experienced players there are just much better and more comfortable ships to play in the cruiser lines where one does not need to be super sweaty every single battle.
Maybe it's just me but I don't like ships that don't have carry potential these days. A well balanced ships feels underpowered because there are other ships who are outright broken. Jacksonville for example is ridiculously overpowered. My average damage in it is 200k, which is ridiculous. Stalin still feels like an alrounder because of its amazing guns and armor.
I find you have to be in a carry ship these days with just how poor the teamplay can be. You need to be able to tanks, fight, and do as much as humanly possible. I've tried playing some of my old favorite ships that are more in the support role and it just feels bad to watch a team fall apart and know that you cannot carry enough to win.
Wargaming is sacrificing new players to satisfy old ones. This is just as stupid and OP as all the other radar/smoke ships. Hard enough for an experienced player to play DD around and new players will get wrecked by it. This is bad for the game and will cause the player base to continue to shrink.
They doing this for the last couple of year lol making new player can jump tier making them prematurely experience high tier when they barely learn the mechanic and make both experienced and new player frustrated
