My biggest problem with the Kremlin is that when I start a push and volunteer my ship to be the punching bag and believe me it definitely becomes everybody's favorite target when it's spotted, none of the gutless wonders on my so called team come and take advantage of that and all stay back behind islands where it's safe. It's a really frustrating ship to play without support, more so than other high tier BB's.

It's more how everyone plays these days, hang back, don't get spotted or out of position or get caught by a sub. I just got the Slava and whacked the extended gun range on, for the most part it's kinda useless but fun citadeling stuff at 28km the whole game.

Hence you figured out WG strategy and sales. Make a broken ship, over powered and crazy expensive. Sell it like hotcakes and then nerf it to "balance" it... Video title: Kremlin? Yep, Kremlin. WG could build a bit of goodwill by going back through one tech line during each patch and buffing/adjusting ships that have clearly fallen out of favor. The Russian BB line is a good example of a tree that I hardly ever see played these days. Japanese too, outside of Yamato and the T11.

As I've been grinding my way through the various tech trees, every now and then I come across a ship that it's really apparent WG went a little too far in nerfing it at some point. You've got a Tier 7 ship that you're doing pretty well with, then when you get the much anticipated Tier 8 ship, it's disappointing because the Tier 7 ship was actually stronger.

@@tonyennis1787 Here's an example: When you went from the Tier 8 German cruiser Hipper to the Tier 9 cruiser Roon, the AP was 200HP less (they just repaired that in this update) while you also get one less bank of torpedoes per per side. Until this update, basically the Roon was a crippled Hipper. Still isn't that great.

No surprise they nerfed the AA - a ship designed to push, that also has good AA would present a major risk factor for the CV. And Wargaming can't have that, cuz CV's need to be wheelchair accessible, and need the closest ships (ships designed to push, usually german) to be easy to farm, so they have useless AA.

my last few matches with ship in randoms. Burned down with HE from a cruiser while I'm dropping shells all around them, while causing minimal damage. at 17k and closer, your just a gas soaked fire pit.

Shima still works because there are always babyboat's who never heard off wasd. Also, high torp damage mostly offsets the lesser torpedo concealment. 12km shima torps are fine babyboat punishers. Btw, Senjou was also never nerved.. directly. Removal of stealth fire without giving it better turret angles or more hitpoints hurt it a lot.

ROFL- noticed last night that my Kremlin winrate was lower than others. Took her out for 8 battles and won 7. Even freaked the other team out by pushing up and even eventually killing a (crappy) Shima that was stalking me. Win rate up, so parked it lol.

I wouldn't mind the dispersion, lack of Secondaries and AA if you can actually play the ship as its designed to do. As others stated, the biggest issue isn't with the ship itself, it comes down to the team and the current meta. The Kremlin can push and take a lot of punches, but if everyone sits in the back what good is it. Many times, I have pushed up and some players do notice, and take advantage to push up with me. Very few ships have that effect still.

The problem with wows players is they overwhelmingly choose to play the meta rather than play for fun. This means you'll see games with too many HE/torpedo spamming/sniping ships that then determines how the match gets played. WG seems determined to ruin the battleship experience as a way to even out the class preferences. Even with how unpleasant they've made it, the highest number of queued ships is still battleships, so I don't expect them to make life any better any time soon. I haven't played a Soviet battleship in a long time. Not even the Lenin which now seems to catch fire when one of the crew farts. You either play the meta or die alone.

I think that's only on the russian server though - Lesta is releasing those Izmail uptiers, while Wargaming will be giving us some crappy Commonwealth copy pastes of british cruisers, that will have "special" (historical sonar that detects subs). Basically more cannonfodder for CV's and subs though - Wargaming's given us nothing but new cruisers with fancy irrelevant gimmicks, that are offset by the fact all their other stats and qualities are mediocre.

I really enjoyed the mid tier Soviet BB line, once I got to upper tier I started to dislike them. Everyone seems to love Vladivostok ... I hated it with a passion. Never had good games in it, relatively slow ship with poor handling (from memory) but what I really remember is over pinning everything 90% of the time. When it wasn't an over pin every single shell seemed to bounce it was always either extreme. It never felt satisfying to play, the Vlad really cemented my opinion on upper tier Soviet BB's. I don't enjoy Kremlin, I never see anyone playing it these days either, I found the line a painful grind.

Personal play style is certainly part of it. And also I think some people can more easily accept certain aspects of a ship that others find rage inducing. There are many ships that are somewhat popular that I hate to play. And many ships that people complain about that I enjoyed. For example - I cannot ever seem to get a good game in the Alaska and I can't stand the dispersion I get in it. But it is considered a extremely strong tier 9. And many seem to think the Maass is a poor performer but I felt very powerful playing it

Kremlin is still a tough ship, but she's not what she used to be by any means. I rarely see Kremlins, I see lots of Preussens, GK's, Montys, Schli's, etc, but I can't remember the last time I saw a Kremlin, probably right around the last time I saw a Vermont.

When they add new ships, they have to nerf the current top of the tree, if they didn't no one would bother spending credits or gold. in every game I play they do the same, next expansion every profession gets hit, items worthless, all new mats. Ships get nerf'd (Eve online) too good at what they do or people have ways to use them in unique ways, power creep gets everywhere, top of the tree soon gets to be second rate.

@@BlackHearthguard Not really as stated here on the video, the ship which was top line ship, they nerf'd it many times, until it's a pale comparison of what it was, new ships come in which take the same spot now vacated, if they had not screwed the ship over they would be on equal footing. Unlike real life people just buy the new top of the tree ship, Wargaming profits, its the same with World of Tanks, buy a premium tank, soon another comes in the shop or for bonds, your tank now misses a lot more you are killed so much easier, ever played the TD Scorpion, used to be good, shots go everywhere now.

man if u ask me kremlin is at the best state for game balancing. i mean one ship can't do all, at least he good at something but at the same time bad at something. take yama, biggest gun and armour but slow, turn like a bricks and MF have no AA, Zao have good mnueverability and high HE dmage but MF have no armour, repub having top speed and reload but dispersion is a MEH but kremlin when he got release??MF op like shit, good AA, high top speed, accurate mid-long range accuracy,fast consumable reload+fuking 1km thick armour!!Kremlin is at the best state the only thing need to change(nerf but dpends on which ship need to nerf hard and which ship just a light nerf) like conq, vincnt, ALL CV&SS(IMPORTANT) and others.

"nerfed pretty quickly"? I strongly recall the mocking that the first 2-3 nerfs were all on reducing AA effectiveness. That was the joke, the nerfs were pathetic. Yes, between the meta changing, and the constant power-creep, this BB is no longer OP. It isn't bad though, and there are worse Tier-X BBs.

They changed Kremlin's dispersion. Originally the shells landed in a straight line. A broadside ship would be *pummeled* and sent to port with 3 or 4 citadels.

This is music to my ears. I absolutely hated the USSR BBs when they rolled out. Russian bias was too strong. Between the Stalinium armor and shells that even if most missed, the ones that hit stripped off a sizable chunk of HP.

This is typical WG, they nerf things to the point of poinlessness, same in Worldof Tanks with artillery, all they ad to do there was limit arty to one per team,. Arty deserve to be nerfed its promote more camping since no one wanted to lead the charge if they get rekt by arty across the map with no way to counter it unlike CV But i do agree HE nerf is extremely stupid and promoted braindead gold ammo spamming instead of use tactic

Krem aint useless tho, with the new Cap skills its an even more tankier ship then it was. Get those cap skills, position right (so you dont get flanked) and go ham . All my recent games in her since the new cap skills are over 200k+ers (with the exception when a sub pops up and starts shotgunning). I have seen Krems holding a whole flank .. so no not so useless :p.

That's not fully true. In random nonsense, Kremlin is pretty strong tank, but in clan battles oposition will take long range bb to counter her.

I second this I try to play as a big scary tank, I slowly move forward, I know my guns won't hit shit, but as long as the enemy team thinks I'm slowly moving forward and I avoid being an idiot in creating some team value atkeast

I don't play Russian ships because the idea of the Russian navy as a competent military force suspends my disbelief. The Russian navy is a pathetic joke, I try to ignore the existence of Russian ships in the game as much as possible.
