Double CV games should never happen, no matter on which tier. And yes, i`m a CV player myself. I love the options to help my team to deal damage, sinking damaged ships that move back for repairs, spotting DD`s close to or in caps and much more. Teamplay for the win.

Bismark, or Monarch dependant on game type for me.

@@grayboats7741 Bismarck is still strongish in close quaters and Monarch is a great lighter with an almost super heal. I would still prefer these two

@@grayboats7741 Ipiranga felt quite OP to le though, even if the main battery is just medium. I had a lot of fun with it. But my goto is Tirpitz because of the ability to take Lütjens and torps into a brawl why being able to survive a lot.

American BB line sucks till you get past Colorado. I enjoyed NC and this version really is a credit machine. Buffalo, meh is ok. A really fun tier 6 American BB I received recently in a sup crate that I've actually enjoyed is Arizona.

I like U.S. battleships. I frikkin despise the cruisers with a passion. I think the Baltimore is my worst ship. I can barely bring myself to play it in co-op, I'd rather take a beating than play it in randoms. The Cleveland is little better. Low HP, weak armor, high freeboard, mediocre maneuverability. And the Baltimore has a marginal rate of fire for a ship so dependant on HE. I'm not sure if I am grinding those lines, or they are grinding me. The latter I think.

I'm right there with you not liking NC much(or really any American BB below T9), the guns just never felt consistent, and I always just wished I was playing Amagi, Odin, Atlantico, Champagne, Gascogne, Richelieu or Vladivostok over her. Though as you might guess I got to the line rather late, it's a line I've still not finished and only a month or so ago did I actually finish my NC grind after having played the game since 2017. Also right there with you on Buffalo being absolute trash. Even with the buffs I'll take Baltimore over her any day, but I also want to get Des Moines to see what Salem could have been if she had been given a proper radar.

Too many people are all aggression or no aggression. Either they relentlessly charge until sunk, not lasting long enough to do damage like this, or they are so passive they isolate themselves into irrelevance.

A big problem until you get to the faster battleships in the U.S. line is that you are where you are. You can't get away if you're overwhelmed, and if you're not where the fight is, you can't get there. That's why my damage is as low as it is. You have to hope you get spawned in a place where you can see decent action, but not get swarmed. And you cannot escape the ships with massive numbers of auto firing HE spewing secondaries. The slower U.S. battleships often get burned down quickly. You need every fire fighting skill you can get on your commander. And concealment.

Yeah... that's not historical AA. That's very historically inaccurate AA. I would go into the whole AA rant but it's longer than RU-vid's comment system lets me comment, suffice to say though, according to USN data, the rounds per bird of 127mm guns ranges from around 760 common shells to around 300 VT shells, to shoot down a SINGLE aircraft. Now NC does have 20 127mm guns, but they don't all have line of sight to the other side of the ship, but even if they did, they have a rate of fire of around 15 rounds per minute. It would take on average a whole minute of her 127mm guns firing to shoot down a single aircraft IF all of her 127mm guns could actually fire at the planes, on average double that because it's highly unlikely more than half can see the plane. So 2 minutes of 127mm fire to down a single aircraft. The 40mm guns would need ~2000 shells on average to take down a single aircraft. She has 15 quad mounts total but likely only around 9 of those mounts would be able to see an incoming aircraft. At a practical rate of fire of ~85 rounds per minute, the 40mm guns would need around 40 seconds on average to shoot down a single aircraft. Her 20mm guns last, ~300 practical rounds per minute, needing ~5400 rounds to shoot down a single aircraft. It's hard to gauge where the guns can even see, so lets just go right down the middle and go off of 22 of the 44 guns, they would need ~50 seconds to shoot down a single aircraft on average. All of that is to say if the AA was historically accurate. WW2 AA didn't shoot down aircraft, it dispersed the attack. Wiki is handy. Maybe I did big historicallyaccurate overpen. BBs in late ww2 stage were AA platforms alot. The guy with 72 downed planes - Great Turkey shooting at Mariana😅
