There is one more thing about Vinfast's unique battery rental policy that I found: The battery in your car will be rented out monthly for a very cheap price, and whenever the battery is below 70% of its maximum capacity, you can replace it for free ! Amazing ....

I am so impressed with these and the fact they are launching a full size SUV, which is what I've been wanting but NO ONE is making them, and like Dave said, us mom's don't want to be driving a minivan!!! I'm absolutely in love with interior and exterior of VF9.
Vinfast cars on display can't even move on the road, it is only a shiny shell and it lacks everything, there is no tech to show for. When Tesla, Rivian, Lucid put their EVs on display, it's already a real deal. And they can demonstrate their tech to the consumers.

Dear Dave, I want VFT (VinFast Truck), just electric lifestyle truck for camping, doesn't need to tow 11000lbs. It's funny when Dave mentioned about mini-Van, very efficient but no body want it, haha. His approach for the VF9 is awesome.

I own an EV, and of primary importance is having a large network of fast charge stations that will cater to your car. And this is where Tesla has the advantage with their dedicated network across the U.S. Another concern is winter weather because batteries are not as efficient in the extreme cold. Vietnam is tropical so no problems there, but if you live in the more northern or southern latitudes where it snows every winter, it’s something you need to consider.

I had friends back in VN telling me they can apply the vouchers toward purchase of Vingroup's condos or Vinfast scooters (Vingroup owns Vinfast) if they want, pretty flexible.
Even many Vietnamese re-buy these vouchers from other Vin's customers (who bought Vin's house, VF car...) to apply to their purchase of new Vinfast car. This can save much cost for them.
a friend of mine bought a Vinfast car. And he was given a resort ticket at Vinpearl Phu Quoc for 4 people. I guess the value of the scheduled ticket is about 4000 USD.

Before venturing into EVs, they ventured into the area of smartphones, TVs and folded after 3 years. They also assembled petrol cars and stopped after 3 years. People who believed in their hypes and bought their petrol cars now are swearing. They also tried to run a supermarket and had to sell it after a few years. There are also heaps of business activities they abandoned such as pilot training, football academy..... Even in Viet Nam where they have political support from the communist govt because their major shareholders are the relatives of the high-ranking communists, they are still struggling to sell cars to break even. Vinfast makes loss year in year out since it started. The only area of business where they operate at a profit is in the real estate sector. In Viet Nam, political connection and corruption can get you the highly profitable projects by land re-zoning in the name of "development".

I like VF7, because the VF7 model looks more beautiful and modern than other VinFast models. I don't mean to criticize other VinFast models, but the VF7 model is really beautiful.
I love how these vehicles have impressive range and yet retain the squarish ICE design. Mercedes on the other hand is just not gonna cut it in terms of exterior design for their upcoming EQE SUV AND EQS SUV. Chief designer of Mercedes said they have to use a more rounded bubbly shape for improved aerodynamics. But I don’t see that necessary as Vinfast figured out how to have good range and good ev design.

You pay for what you get. It took Tesla 10 years to come up with 4 EV models. It took Vinfast less than 3 years to have 5 EV models. Vinfast does not develop their products like a real car company. They have shell designs, then import components and assemble them into finished products. You should wait until you test drive it to see it for yourself. There are a lot of hypes on youtube at the moment because they are spending an insane amount on money on advertising. They are also targeting a quick IPO in the US to get quick cash from the uninformed investors.

They display 5 models but when it comes to the assembling phase, it's likely that they keep only 2 or 3 models with the most orders. At the moment, it is only at the reservation phase. It might take years before it comes to order phase and delivery.

Great designs & Beautiful styling. I own the Mustang Mach E and reserve the F150 Lightning. But I like the EV SUV that look more boxy - crossover like the VF7, VF8,VF9. I will buy one when they have them in Canada.

I have just bought Vin fast Lux A, satisfy with it, im sad when hear they cease produce gasoline car. But look at VF7, what a gorgeous! maybe I’ll buy it in the future.
Gotta agree with them on how they're trying to spread the popularity of EV. We have too many high end models already, and I think only Vinfast and a few Chinese brands are making affordable EVs. We need more mid and low-end EVs for people who don't need their car to have crazy acceleration but also doesn't suck like the Nissan leaf with their 60 miles range battery.
These EV cars are so hot. Good job, Vinfast I heard that delivery plan is the end of 2022 for USA and Europe market. In Vietnam, it will be earlier, about June, If u reserve early, you will get soon. There are about 12000 preorders in Vietnam after 6 hours VF8 and VF9 announced officially prices.

I reserved the VF8. Just because of the size and the price. 😂 with tax credit + Vin fast’s discount, it’s around $30k. Not bad to give it a try with all the free stuffs and services they provide. Obviously I need to see more reviews to really decide. But 90% I will get it. Still love my Tesla model S. I may make a review later haha.

In my opinion, vf8 is really beautiful. It has sudden design changes due to the sophisticated style when we go through it. It has mini slits that look great and red matches well Edit: the vf7 interior replica was too strange for being the actual interior of a car (but it will be the actual interior). Imagine if you own a vf7 and a dog comes at night and puts his foot on the brake. The next day, you see a wrecked vf7 in your garage. If you own it, lock the brake pedals .
