@@robertkington2084 I don't see anyone daily driving or even weekend driving their Ford GT. But I've seen thousands of Vettes on the streets and drag strips over the years. Comparing a bonafide museum quality, extremely rare supercar to a Vette, which almost anyone can afford and modify to the moon, makes the Vette the King of the Hill. My opinion of course.

@miguelzap9269 i see more hyundai sonatas than corvettes but I would not call the hyundai king of the hill. Badd gt makes 3000hp with stock crank, block and heads and still has room to turn it up. He drives the car everywhere and I have seen him drive it to events around town. Give the credit when it is due. The corvette is a good car and I have one and love it. But it has an inferior engine that is not capable of the volumetric efficiency as the modular is, nor do the heads have the clamping force needed to reliably make those numbers.

Guess what .. the LS is the crate engine of choice by far in America because nearly everyone can afford it ans tune it.. ! By the way the engine in that new Corvette C-8 has the most naturally aspirated horse power of any OME street car in the world from what I’ve read..! I talked with a fellow a few years ago that had a new GT and he admitted that they are nearly impossible to purchase unless you have million bucks laying around round ..🤑 IN 2019 CAR and DRIVER did a huge performance run on several SPORT CAR types, Porsche , McLaren, Ford GT and several others, including the C7, ZR-1 2019 Corvette . This included breaking, a road course etc , etc and that 2019 ZR-1 Corvette completely dominated this competition..! Don’t get me wrong i love the Ford GT but im not a multi millionaire.. At that test the ZR-1 was listed at $ 150,000 so it an incredible Hotrod for the money ! So there is a KING in there somewhere right..! 🏆🏎️ 🏁🏁

Bohmer's car is not owned by Gas Monkey Garage, it's not an "old GT40", and the speeds Bohmer claims, were not measured by any recognized sanctioning organization or even any actual timing equipment. Bohmer's car is a 2006 Ford GT, Gas Monkey Garage is a sponsor, and Bohmer used a VBOX to calculate the speeds he's claiming.

More than likely some version of a getrag that uses Co2 to do the shifting. Most 5 second drag radial cars utilize the same down the 1/4.

He said in the video, crank case pressure that is supposed to be relieved by a Catch Can was leaking. Oil must have left the containment and leaked on the hot exhaust causing the smoke.

For a daily driver, I custom-ordered a new Porsche convertible after touring the Porsche factory in Zuffenhausen Stuttgart Germany. I'm not too interested in 1 mile racing. However, it's an accomplishment in itself to keep a small block LS like that together under so much load like that. 👍
