If your not good with parrying try this combo - Ladybug helmet ( block strength ) - whatever chest piece you want - Rollie poly leg plates - fiber bandages MUTATIONS - Shocking Dismal - Corporate Kickback ( If you don’t have it use heal basa ) - Mithrodadodism

​@user-vq8ct8oc4i Mithirdatism is useless against the Broodmother. When it injects its poison, it isn't regular poison. It's venom, and I believe a special type of venom that's unique to the broodmother. Personally, if you're fighting it at Tier 2 gear, I'd suggest a full set of Ladybug Armour for a set bonus, bone dagger with the spicy upgrade and food buffs that either increase max health, damage resistance or attack damage. For smoothies, I've found that the best to use is Beefy Green Machine, Sticky Fuzz On the Rocks and Beefy Liquid Rage. As for Mutations, if you have all 5 slots available, Meat Shield for extra health, Buff Lungs for bigger stamina, Parry Master (or whatever it's called) for a bigger Parry window (also useful if you're terrible at parrying), Shocking Dismissal to have the chance of the electric burst and Assassin (preferably max level assassin) to deal bleed on hit, and if you have max, it'll either reduce defence or reduce attack on it

I did it with a Lady bug was harder but doable

Livesplit says over 40 attempts and almost 9 hours!

@@HolyCodztaWow, I don’t have the commitment to do anything close to that many attempts, I think my grounded world is about 15-20 hours and I have only managed to kill it recently. Very impressive.

Timer starts when you gain control of your character which is either during the dialogue if you let that play out or right when you respawn after giving up. I do the latter just to save some irl time. As for save and load tech, timer is paused to minimise hardware advantages. For example, if someone was to do this exact route on an Xbox One (shout out to Zylo) it would add an extra minute to their time compared to mine just because we're on different hardware. Hope that explains it!

Did actually try a co-op brood run a couple times but we never refined it. Would be cool to get the route locked in and get sub 20 brood...

The wolves sleeping under the oak? You can get surprisingly close while they're asleep and they won't wake up. Plus devs kinda force them to sleep on day 1 so that probably helped. Thanks, that's cool!

Alright two things. First, the coal is a tier 2 resource so only requires tier 2 equipment to break it, and second, the insect hammer is tier 2 not tier 1, the pebblet hammer is tier 1. Can also use splatburst to break the coals but not bratburst because they're only tier 1.

It takes 3 weevils to blow the door up on mild but only 2 on whoa. Might be 2 on medium as well but I never tested it

If you look at it and it pops up saying you discovered it you'll be able to spawn there if it's the one nearest to you when you die. So if you look away when you approach one you can use it without discovering it and you won't spawn there. Does that make sense?

First one was to skip the dialogue at the start so I can get control of my character sooner. Second one was because I messed the jump up and wasted a couple seconds, so just reset so I could have a clean start

@@HolyCodzta ahh i see. And wow the damage with those throwing spears is crazy. I liked the bomb trick to get rid of the little spiders.

They did end up nerfing them unfortunately although they're still pretty good I think, haven't played much since the nerf though so don't know quite how much worse they feel. Oh this was on mild too so that'll make them look even better if you normally play on medium or whoa. And yeah the bombs are great for that, get the exact amount needed from haze lab

Yeah it's mild and I'm pretty sure this was before the spear nerf too so they were doing even more damage. All my runs are mild unless I specify, so the only whoa runs I've done are the wolf and the black widow

Allll over the place haha. Faster bombardiers, gnats, stinkbugs, menuing, etc. Could get two weevils at once to blow open the haze lab door. At 20:36 I should've respawned at kid case but accidentally respawned at the field station. Also didn't need the workbench at 21:07 because I already had the chest piece (was my first try crafting the chest earlier so forgot) so I could've taken a better route straight to hedge ascent. Lots of this run was pretty nice though, a personal highlight was grabbing my backpacks at 20:59 and ending up with 40 out of 40 slots full and 4 boiling glands. Also would've been 1 berry chunk short if I didn't get 4 from one berry. Only needed 2 gnats as well, often takes 3 to get enough fuzz. Oh and the boss didn't scream at all!

Hopefully I'll be starting IBM soon so that'll include it!

Yeahh let em have it for a bit but it had to come home eventually! Paraly5er's 36:06 was glitchless then like the day after, Chillax ran a 35:08 glitched. I think glitched has the potential to be sub 20 but I've been trying to route it and it's incredibly confusing with the new tricks streamable.com/r2bq3j

@@toxictrooper1879 Yeah the grass was for later. This was the first run where I tried something slightly different and went for all 4 acorn pieces in one go instead of just getting 1 for the shovel and getting the rest later. So after the last respawn at kid case I thought I had to make a bench to make the armour but I already had it. Saves another 10 seconds easy if I don't do that and I jump out kid cave like at the start. And yeah 10 minutes faster, I predicted a 32:XX when I first came up with the route! Turned out way better than I was expecting

@@HolyCodzta I can’t even beat Assistant Manager or Infected Lady Bug on Whoa! Lmao, probably because of the extra enemies attacking me while I combat the main enemy

Oh yeah, been running on mild for so long I forgot about the extra enemies in haze lab. Maybe you've done it already but if you practice trying to parry a group of larva it does become very doable because when you parry one, it staggers the others too if you're close enough. Are larva weak to stabbing? Could use bee stinger spear for them and red ant club for the ladybug

@@HolyCodzta I do use the red ant club and I play with my friend, only problem is we always get one hit or when we are trying to parry we get hit by a different thing such as an infected might, also larva’s I think are the hardest in the game to parry.

What armour you running? Ladybug armour is very good at that stage. One of you could wear acorn armour to act as a distraction while the other takes out the mites. Then try and separate the larva to take them out one at a time. Then it's just the ladybug and hucking your ant club will stagger her each time so should be easy enough with two people. I would also stack your inventories full of roasts (aphid, weevil, tadpole etc) for great easy heals

It does do more damage yeah because throwing weapons does weirdly high damage per hit. First step is to turn on wide interact in accessibility settings. This makes it much easier to catch thrown weapons. Then it's as simple as throwin the weapon and grabbing right as it hits the enemy. Might need to practice to get the timing down; you can catch it before it hits which does no damage but still costs stamina, and if you catch it too late it might ping off, ruining your rhythm and making you waste time going to pick it up. One extra tip, if you look directly at the creature when you throw, it can bounce off in a more random direction, so look down slightly when you throw which makes it bounce straight back to you. This makes it easier to catch and if you don't catch it then it takes less time to pick it back up.

@HolyCodzta yeah i totaly get that, the running around is what takes the moat time it seems but having the backpack retrieval almoat discredits the amount of work you put into it, ur runs are super impressive, id just love to see them with the inbetweens
