Factory Driver Speedrun Controller: Logitech Momo Racing Wheel Missions I messed up: 16. Terrible driving, plus damage, lost approx 30 seconds 25. Terrible driving, plus stupid cops, lost 30 seconds 29. I can go approx 5 seconds faster
Agreed. I love MW 05 too but I know i'd kill for a remake of this game. You could add the new porsches. An even better factory driver. Online leaderboards for factory driver.
You goddamn right they should but I am afraid they will never come back to Porsche franchise. Something with licensing and they didn’t decide to renew it Big shame, it was my first NFS I played (I played nfs iii before but it was at my further family house) and it holds special place in my heart The brand, soundtrack, cars, tracks, realism and outstanding graphics for its time!
Mission 30, two 180 turns and a 360 at the end, doing all that with only manual transmission was a fucking nightmare. As a kid, that mission was the bane of my existence. Every other mission through factory driver was either a walk in the park or somewhat frustrating, but mission 30 was the great divider. That mission was the benchmark whether you casually played this game or was a hardcore fan. Nothing came close to being so nerve-racking as doing probably the hardest part, the second 180 turn successfully, only to either fail on the 360 turn or to complete the whole thing only tenths of a second too late.
I have a funny story from my childhood when playing this with my dad. We came to that mission and realized we need manual gearing. Oh boy, my dad tried for like 30min and got past the double 180 once. I wanted to try and he let me: Hold and behold, did it on first or second try and felt as proud and bratty as any 7-9 y/o boy can be. Doing the same feat on my driver profile however was not that blessed by lady luck :D Good times.
Damn. That gave me some dark flashbacks. :D Pretty much abandoned the whole factory driver thing because of that. Never could get it done. And I had a proper racing wheel as well, so it wasn't just KB controls. Anyway, all other memories of this game are purely euphoric. Sadly I have yet to find a copy of a cracked and patched game that would work. As in it crashes the second it attempts to initialize the game's 3D renderer and switches the resolution to 640x480. I have no fucking I idea why. The I've gone through all the settings, made sure the widescreen patch is in, that the crack is applied and that there's nothing in any file or anywhere that would make the game do this, the resolution is set to 1920x1080. This guy has some black magic going on and a deal with the devil to get it to do these resolutions and also render the textures correctly with out any antialiasing issues due to piss poor textures on the damn licesnse plates etc...
as a core memory of when i was a very young kid i was stuck on the first 360 mission, for some reason i thought i had to do 360 donuts. my dad showed me what to do tho but mission 30 was a challenge and a half for me, i remember how deserved the 911, boxster and turbo s felt to get tho x)
You can run it widescreen but the menus will be stretched. Gameplay should be fine though. About other wheels, it should work but I cant guarantee anything. It works on a controller and my wheel so my assumtion is yes. You should also lower your degrees of rotation to 270.
How did you get your wheel to work with such an old game? Did you have to download some 3rd party software? Or just plugged in and the game found the controller in the settings? How do you lower wheel rotation?
2:33 is faking impossible with this car.... I played racing games since 2014 on regular basis and I can’t do a 360 with this car WTF is this bullshit???? Faing turtorial helloooo??
It's hard, but I think I figured out how to do this. First of all, when you want to do 360, you must drive fast, then click only buttons - turn right (or left) and handbrake, then when you spin of 180 degrees, you release this buttons and click buttons - to accelerate and opposite to the turn button at the beginning (right or left). Second thing is very important to drive exactly under the half of yellow sign during the mission (left or right side of the sign).
@@felixeur1276 Yeah same, when i first played it some years ago, i used a keyboard because i was very young (it was actually one of the first games I've ever played, lol) Nowdays i use a gamepad, but i definetly want to try it out with a steering wheel
This is amazing, excellent driving I'm really impressed never knew that kind of driving was possible in this game, brings a lot of good memories, Thanks you for the treat.. that porsche is still behind us
Factory Driver is really fun because of it's variety. The game itself is so good because the physics are great and simple to understand. Its all about understanding weight transfer
Agreed, when I was a kid my journey with Porsche always ended with green Carrera and 914 Trophy (back then i wasn’t aware you could tune your cars lol)
This is so impressive! Your driving is buttery smooth. I have had this game since I was a kid, but I never saw someone use a wheel. I definitely want to try this out. Thank you so much for offering an installation guide! Does the game read your clutch, gas and brake in an analogue way? I have a Logitech G25, hope that wheel is supported. Do you have any plans to beat this record, or to get the record in Evolution mode? That would be really cool to see.
I haven't had much time to speedrun lately as I used to. Maybe one day ill speedrun evolution mode. To answer your question, no, only gas an brake are read as analog controls. Logitech Wheels are supported just fine. Just lower your wheel rotation to around 270 degrees and if it doesn't read your pedals, try the "combine pedals" setting in your profiler.
@@corvetaumbr2410 1. IPLounge method is heavily outdated, the best way is to install NFS5 Essentials and then Verok's PU Patch. 2. The nGlide wrapper is suggested, but it's best to used the modified DX7 driver included in Verok's patch alongside DGVoodoo2. 3. The menu lag is fixable by installing devreorder and elishacloud's dinputto8. 4. Menu blur/low graphics can be fixed by forcing resolution via DGVoodoo2, it'll be stretched but it's better than having it super low resolution.
@@user-bp5py6bh3g 1. Yeah, that's what i thought, it was confusing asf to me, i would usually just download a patch from the internet and extract everything into the game's folder 3. Thank you so much man, that was truly a pain in the ass configuring my gamepad, the menu was laggy asf 4. That is no longer a problem to me because i am using the "aspect correction" option on nglide, so the game will run at 4:3 aspect and the texts won't look ugly
Poradíte mi kde to najdu? Nebo má to někdo z vás? Kdyžtak písněte. Díky.
I actually just noticed something That GT1 in the game is actually a street legal version based off the 911 GT1-98 (the one that got both 1st and 2nd place on the 1998 24 hours of le mans), the 911 GT1-98 Straßenversion (literally translates to "street version", lol) Maybe that's why you can buy it in evolution mode
