Technically, you can get a speed run by running a straight line in either direction, and you'd win. Just the chances of that happening are very extremely low.
@@ThatOne6uy i think the gimmick of the game is that you go back when there's an anomaly and you go foward is there isn't any. so for you to go foward it would have to be the 8 exits having no anomalies at all
Count the second difference between walking straigh and turning around its just rng if he had 1 more anomaly he would have probably got the record this isnt a skill based speedrun
Well, well, well, look who thinks they're real hot shit with their speedy little fingers and their quick reflexes. Let me tell you something, Mr. Speedrunner, you may have shaved a few seconds off your time, but you've also shaved off any sense of enjoyment or appreciation for this masterpiece of a game. You've reduced it to a mindless race to the finish, ignoring all the careful crafting and attention to detail that went into creating the world you're so callously sprinting through. And for what? A few seconds of fame on some obscure online leaderboard? I pity you, speedrunner. You've missed out on the true beauty and depth of this game, all in the name of your oh-so-precious speed. So, go ahead, pat yourself on the back for your "accomplishment," but know that you've sacrificed something far more valuable in the process: your soul. Oh, I'm sorry, did I hurt your delicate little speedrunning feelings? Did I hit a nerve? Well, good. Maybe it's time for you to take a good, hard look in the mirror and ask yourself why you're so obsessed with beating games as quickly as possible. Next time, try taking it slow and actually savoring the experience. Or don't. Honestly, I don't really care. Do whatever you want, I'm just some random asshole on the Internet. But know that your precious speedrun will never be as impressive as a genuine appreciation for the game, and don't expect me to be impressed or even remotely interested in your speedy little achievements.
@@steathghost101 Yes it is... Mario 64 speed runs, which are over 1.5 hours long, have players optimizing every second because every second matters. When WR's are broken, it's not by a lot time.
@@gelatinousjoe7979 Oh if Portal 2 has taught me anything, milliseconds matter even in a run that takes over an hour. Someone can beat the World Record by a millisecond and that's enough to get them the win. Any optimisations, down to a single button press a fraction of a second earlier, can make that difference.
its really not, for example in a game like geometry dash, on the first level of the tower, over 1/4 of the entire leaderboard is a second or less away from the world record(101 people out of 400), and also on games like the original super mario bros, where world records go like this kosmic - 4:56.462 somewes - 4:56.245 kosmic - 4:55.913 somewes - 4:55.796 taven webb- 4:55.746 kosmic - 4:55.646 niftski - 4:55.430 miniland - 4:55.314 miniland - 4:55.230 niftski - 4:54.948 miniland - 4:54.914 niftski - 4:54.881 niftski - 4:54.798 niftski - 4:54.631 btw this is over the span of 2000 days(5.5 years) also i speedrun professionally so this is why i'm so worked up about this huge failure of a comment and also don't say i'm writing an essay/a paragraph, I KNOW.
Considering it takes about 5 seconds to traverse the corridor, the ones that only appear at the end or take too long to appear (security poster moving, security poster eyes moving, door opening, growing posters, "Turn back" sign etc.) you are better just restarting. The trouble with a game like this is that if we assume there's a 50/50 chance of an anomaly appearing (regardless of what it is), all you have to do is turn around as soon as possible each time, and statistics dictates that you have a 1/512 chance of winning... that's low enough that a human can just grind it until they get it.
@@higuy1324 watched the stream and you're probably right. a lot of people (like mario maker youtubers) record hammed up reactions to their completions of hard levels for shorts, so I thought the same thing was happening here.
@@kingyeti15yeah, you probably would have been right in any other video, you just happened to find that one guy that behaves like he does it but doesn't
I remember maybe 3-4 years ago watching this guy's stories on Snapchat just him doing everyday things and showing his followers, telling us to watch his live later that day or him uploading content. Crazy to see him on RU-vid never thought that would happen, good to see hes doing great.💯
This is wrong after the first week of this game someone got a 38 second by just running in and immediately turning and he kept doing that lucky enough to all be anomalies.
If you find something odd about the hallway you turn back if you dont you move forward if you get it right you move to the next exit however if you get it wrong/get killed by something, you reset back to exit 0 The goal is to get to exit 8
Find the difference: If there's nothing odd (or they call it anomalies) continue going If there is an odd / anomalies chage direction by going back. Thats the only solution to end that loop.
The fact that none off them were the back of the sign frustrates me because that one got me so many times, or the eyes following you, or the red-light in the camera
Where do you get off on this? Is this some kind of sick joke to you? I don’t know who you are, but you need to take a serious look at yourself. Disgusting.
Trippiest thing just happened. I clicked your video and accidentally skipped to the exact point of where this short started in your 2 and a half hour video. We're in a simulation bro.
Exit 7 180 got me all messed up. I need to see a video explaining how to play. Best of luck knocking them 3 seconds off, you got it down forsure. Just hit them corners like nascar.
I just got into doing speed runs I feel like I did a line of coke it’s super intense you are so calm though wow it’s impressive I mean sometimes I stand now lock my entire body up I’ve been doing tomb raider speed runs they’re a blast
