The London Hammer is 19th century American but the Chinese Characters one is bizarre, it doesn't appear to have ever been man made, it is 270 million years old and the best explanation so far is that it is a natural coincidence... idk what to believe anymore lol.

Those stone spheres really freaked me out because our TARGET stores have those in front of their entrances. Were they formed by Aliens? They had to be because they are too perfectly round for Target Employees to have made them. This totally reminds me of Halo's story. 100,000 B.C. AFTER millions of years of Ancient Humans becoming super intelligent and advanced, got into a war with another ancient race called the forerunners, and basically got sent back to the stone age. Even though members of the Covenant ( The alien conglomerate that faces the UNSC forces )worship forerunners, as it turns out, one of the races called the San Shyuum were actually great allies with humanity, but when they were also isolated, their memory of their once great allies faded. They eventually found forerunner artifacts and believed that forerunners were their gods. There's much more to it though. In the lore, forerunners and humans were created by the precursers. So, in Halo's lore, ancient egyptians are bitches compared to the more insanely ancient humans. And those ancient advanced humans are even bigger bitches compared to the precursors. It's like an endless cycle of more ancient races, being more high-tech and advanced. So, basically, 102,552 years after humanity basically had to start over again, is when Halo 1 takes place ( 2552 A.D.) In conclusion, the UNSC in 2552, and the Covenant are STILL cavemen compared to their ancient counterparts.

That hammer isn't 400 million years old, just the rock is; what do you mean by 'there are gaps in our history'? That hammer consistent with late 1800's design and was likely used to build a railroad.

More and more discoveries show that our historical theories are way off-base. When will we finally admit our ancestors were a lot more intelligent, well traveled, and technologically advanced than we have ASSUMED?

We used to think the world is flat and many humans had cruelly died for not believing, as heretics. We used to think the Sun is revolving around the Earth and again, people had died foolishly. Plague was brought by mortal sins. Remember that one? Draught too...We used to believe and some of us still do in Creationism. Some of us are worshiping the Evolutionism. Ummm... a few facts? Stone spheres - are natural rock formations also found in Moeraki New Zealand and probably elsewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if the so-called "dinosaur eggs" are the same phenomena. Even if they are real dinosaur eggs what does that show? That we don't know about every single dinosaur... shocking news! The "Bagdad battery" was in fact a jar used to contain scrolls. It is typical of jars used for that purpose (including having metal pieces inside to wrap and enclose the scrolls). As for the acid contents anyone who has ever done any type of fermentation will know that this results in acids such as vinegar and acetic acid. A moist scroll enclosed in a sealed container would certainly create acid as it decomposed. In addition no evidence was ever found that they were ever attached to anything. But even if we jump to the conclusion that it was a battery so what? At best it would be a very poor one. Hardly "high tech". The Antikithera device cannot be called a computer it was most probably a very well crafted mechanical device that could have showed lunar or planetary motions. We know that thinkers such as Archimedes were producing sophisticated devices (many still used today) using the technologies and knowledge of the time. This device could have been produced using that same knowledge and technology and can be reproduced easily by hobbyists today (as has been done). The so-called London artifact is just what it looks like - an early American hammer typical of those used circa 1800. It has been attached to a much older stone by what is called a concretion - the solidification of dissolved chemicals such as carbonates. You can see this phenomenon anywhere water seeps through concrete such as water tanks, basement walls, and retaining walls. These concretions will readily solidify around objects leaning against the wall and can build up by several millimeters a year. The hammer would have been in place for at least 50 years, ample time for the concretion to form. The blackening is obviously from burning not coal formation - which cannot happen without high pressure and heat. In other words the supposed artifact would have had to be buried under tons of rock to allow coal to form and then later exposed by erosion or upheaval. If this had happened all of the wood would have been chemically altered. Science today is truly incredible I encourage all readers of this to explore the true wonders science continues to uncover. While the accomplishments of ancient cultures are impressive they don't come close to comparing to our knowledge and technology today. After all the bible says incorrectly that Pi = 3 [1Kings 7:23] when it is in fact 3.1415....

Maybe those rocks are dragon eggs?

I love how so many people are so stunned by most of these finds. Humans are smart, do you honestly believe that no one could figure out how to make things earlier than they were popularized. In older times, people didn't have the best means of communication, some of the smarted people could have discovered some amazing things and never be able to spread them across the world. Most of are inventions come from very organized, and large societies. Why? Because of the strong ties with other countries and/or are notorious for conquering, both of which spread ideas from place to place. Just because someone invented a calculator doesn't mean they wanted to sell it or share the idea with the world. The world has been full of people for thousands of years and only now do we find so much innovation, and that's because people have an insensitive to share what they create with others, AKA money. With the means of communication we have now, we can build on one anothers ideas to create amazingly complex things faster than ever before. Everyone needs to calm down over every "impossible" find in history, step back and think about who we are and how different people can have the same ideas as others without knowing anything about one another. All i'm saying is it's not so amazingly unlikely to find technology so long before it spread rapidly throughout the world in history.

The map drawn by that Ottoman explorer only proves that Antarctica's coast has built up a lot of ice since he last saw it. Obviously the dude drew what he saw, including Antarctica. And obviously Antarctica wasn't always so covered in ice. Another mystery solved.

These eggs were probably laid over 60 million years ago if they have been laid by a dinosaur since the last one died 65 million years ago, but cool list anyways :P

the problem with the hammer is that, in Australia, a similar thing happened. They found aboriginal art that dated back millions of years and was supposed to prove many theory's wrong but they happened to be dating the rock it was made out of and the the actual paint...

I always found it amazing at the wonders and mysteries that pyramids possess. not to mention old dinosaur bones and cave paintings. Throughout my childhood and adulthood I always had a curiosity of the history and untold stories our ancestors left. From famous paintings depicting ufos, coral castle, the pipes in stone, giant red heads found in grand canyon etc etc. The more I search for answers the more I find unexplained. Its so fascinating to me the wonders and untold stories mysteries keep. Yet I know I will never discover all if any in my lifetime. :(
