Searching for World's End Cave, situated in the vale between Wrexham & Llangollen. Old mine workings can be found all over this region, many now covered in undergrowth.
What an amazing location, be good to see truly how deep those cave holes go, and the bluish rock faces inside look cool too. Always good to see old history, the sights, remains, and atmospheric feel these places hold still today!
I know the area well and the name has always intrigued me. I think it’s a joke. The nearest settlement where the miners lived is called New Brighton and that is also a joke as it would have been pretty much the opposite of fashionable Regency Brighton in Sussex. There is even a Southsea nearby, miles from the sea of corse.
You missed the really cool caves there! There are three caves that go alot further under the mountains however you will need the proper equipment to explore them properly they go way back and have dangerous drop offs be careful when exploring caves!
Hey thanks for watching! Im aware of another 2 somewhere in the same area, but we were limited on time after spending the day searching for it. If youve got a grid reference for them ild take a look. We tend not to venture deep without internal knowledge of the caves and proper equipment.
I went down one of them when I was a kid , the one with the four points around it , 450 ft down a man made shaft into a underground river called pool park , its a world war 2 ammo dump, half way down the main shaft there is still a bomb on the side , I seen it.
Looks like your searching for a specific cave? Am I right? I would say you need much more gear than that. Hope you find it but appears you need a lot more training. Good luck!
