The XJR and the S65 AMG are the only full-sized flagship sedans in the comparison. The rest were compact to mid-sized sedans. For the XJR to come 2nd place being 2nd largest car in the test run, that’s very impressive.

The most nimble in 2016 is the CTS-V. Handles better than all of them and is quicker than many of them, although it cannot beat the Tesla AWD P100D off of the line.

Hell yeah. Just as I expected when seeing the lineups plus the host & the country where these tests were held. So, nothing strange to see another American car winning it. I hope in next tests, just take all American cars to test. At least winners should always be American cars.

These are all amazing cars, but I can tell you first hand that reliability is NOT a strength a Audi or BMW. I work with a large service department and it's well known that the reliability bubble of Mercedes, BMW and Audi tends to burst after 3-4 years. This is why enthusiast drivers with money will usually get out of them in 2-3 years via lease or trades. Driven calmly they will last longer. The advantage of the Hellcat, SRT 392 and Scat Packs, is that there were engineered with more typical abuse in mind. If you see these cars apart during service this becomes plainly obvious. After driving a Hellcat, and having spent plenty of time with cars like the M5 and several AMG monsters, I can safely say that Dodge is CRAZY to be selling this level of performance, comfort and quality at the price. And let's be honest: BMW, Audi and Mercedes look HIGHLY conservative in most trim levels, regardless of the performance. By comparison, a Charger Hellcat or SRT 392 looks far more menacing and purpose built. The fact that these cars have already proven a high level of reliability only hammers the point home. Dodge has not just brought their "A" game, they rewrote the rules. You have to drive a 392 or Hellcat to appreciate that they are truly comfortable daily drivers, right up until the moment that you engage track mode with that big screen and push the throttle. The driving experience is very different than the German cars...and dare I say...much more fun, at least for me. I ordered a SRT 392 and will take delivery in 4-5 weeks. I'm done with German cars for a while.

I'd still take the Jaguar over the Hellcat... and the Aston Martin, the Mercedes, and the BMW. I'd consider the Hellcat only against the Cadillac. On a different note, the new AUDI S8 plus (AWD, I know, I know...) has a zero to sixty time of 3.3 seconds. The Hellcat is 3.4 seconds. Just sayin....

That was not an s65, the s65 has chrome air intakes and the double edge grill, u can get the air intakes in black, but the double edge grill is standard period! This was stupid.

Speaking from the perspective of owning a Jag XFR (smaller car, same engine as XJR), and having driven nearly every car on the list. It's all meaningless numbers at this point. You're already the fastest car on the road 99.9% of the time. All this silly bickering about cars not in the test, and other variants of the cars tested, nobody cares. Sedans are daily drivers, not race cars. They all fantastic experiences to drive. Just choose what you like. Except the Tesla p85d, the worst thought out sweat box of a luxury car. No buttons, no nobs, just a big washed out touch screen because they made the roof entirely of glass with NO way to cover it from mid-day sun. When the sun breaks through the clouds, it feels like I'm in the movie Chronicles of Riddick.
