I'm not comfortable showing it as a Mechanic would do it for me too, and every car is different so I didn't want to make a one-process-fits-all kind of demo.
Awesome review. Great job! I'm getting one of these delivered today and am excited to play around with it. One question I have is that if I wanted to record a traffic stop (not sure if that's what you call it when a police officer pulls you over in England..), is there anyway to have the camera continue recording for a longer duration then the default 10 seconds when it's pointed to the side view? Whether you say 'shoot left/right' or maybe manually twisting the camera in that direction instead, possibly?
You have to have it hardwired, then leave it in time lapse, that then enables the parking monitor when anybody approaches from where the camera is pointing
This is more of a gimmick than it is something new and unique to the world of dash cams . most better quality dash cams have front and rear cameras , so there is no need for the front camera to rotate . the one good thing this camera has is its ability to shoot sideways , which would come in handy during a traffic stop with the police .
I can assure you it's no gimmick, I have one, it's as good as having a security guard in your car, once hardwired and left in time lapse mode it has the AI parking monitor that detects suspicious activity/anybody hanging around your car etc and records it
I got a question I don't want to mount it on my Jeep Windshield because sometimes in the Summer I put my windshield down at the beach. I want to mount it on my dash so that mean it would be upside down, so I guess the any down arrows with be back words right? anyway can you mount it on the Dash?
I don’t get it. How did you get the AI motion detection to work? Mine will only record when it detects a collision/force applied to the car. No matter what I do it will not record any motion that’s happening around the car. What firmware are yours running?
Make sure when you park up to have both time lapse mode as well as parking monitor enabled in your settings, that way if anybody approaches your car the monitor automatically will start recording, but BOTH these setting need to be enabled
Hi Steven, did the parking surveillance, Ai feature, manage to track the vandals or potential vandals? especially as they are walking down the sides of the car to key the car?
Hi buddy Seems you in uk by looking while you drive in streets I have question about SIM card do you know what network supports this camera 4G kit? I spent £10 on smarty but no remote viewing module stays online all night but when I try to connect it doesn’t turn camera on. If you have any research or you tried.
I'd like to point out, and this would be true for anyone, make sure your streaming settings for RU-vid are high enough or else the video you're watching will look like shit and you'll be really confused. Lolol *Realized RU-vid was streaming at 360p cause mobile in the woods and couldn't figure out why the cars and trees were so blurry. Duh. Need this. Need this now I don't want to waitttttt...
@@TrendingReviews listen the only major issue I have with this camera is no camera to the rear of the vehicle like with my red tiger. Do you know if there is an option for a rear camera set up or if it would even support that function?
Hi David, Do you have the hardwire kit installed with the internal switches of your car? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bj1pymYvLuw.html
@@TrendingReviews Hi, I installed mine with hardwire kit. However, the motion detection doesn’t work when in surveillance mode. I tried switch on & off the feature many times in the app and on the cam itself. Never seem want to detect me and follow me.
@@alphonsenguyen7174 i'm guessing that you updated the firmware and that seems to be a problem with these, people who claim it works haven't uploaded the firmware
I’m curious as well. I’ve installed mine with the hardwire kit a couple of days ago. I bought mainly for the AI parking feature, but sadly it dosen’t work. It never records anything when motion is happening around the car. It only records if I push the car (simulate a collision). I did update my firmware as the first thing when I got it, so I don’t know if the previous firmware were better? I sure hope they push an update soon fixing this issue.
@@BlenderGamerFreaq I believe the new firmware is the cause. The old one was proper for the AI as the new one may be to accommodate the 4G kit. Do a factory reset and reconfigure the settings, it may help. My motion detector works but with limited functions. You might see a yellow light turning on with the red one. It stays solid for 10sec then starts flashing for few more. Only then the red light stays on and starts recording. It will follow you, but only for about 120 degrees.
The wire cable was installed from a professional, but the app is terrible didn’t work is terrible. I’m disappointed I will keep trying for few days if I’m thinking in send it back 😢
Technically yes. But it would be more a hassle than anything because it's not easy to remove. You'd have to take off the sticky pad from the screen completely and then once you've transferred footage, you have to set it back up as if you're setting up for the first time again. There's no real easy removal of a mount or anything like that.
This is very interesting. But in reality, it will only work, if there is only one person who is getting closer to the car. Imagine, if there are several persons around the car, where will the camera points itself. Also, if other persons are behind and others go in front for distraction. I bought a 4 channels dash cam. Front, left side, right side and rear are fully monitored. Nice concept, but in real world application, it won't do it job properly!
@@mikeromero8336 that's the best daah cam in the market today. It even has a parking mode. I bought it a week ago and I'm gonna hardwire it tomorrow saturday.
@@ginocruz8220 hey Gino, what brand is it? I saw the new Ring dash cam which is a 2 channel. I have interest in that one. Mainly for my recreational vehicle that sits most of the time, more of a security thing.
@@mikeromero8336 that link, has exactly the brand name. I bought it from amazon. Hupejos. The ring overheats and does not have parking mode. Hupejos left and right cameras are adjustable. You can point it towards the cabin, or towards the sides, or 50/50. Good luck
Why shoot left/right/cabin is only 10sec. Seems silly if you have been pulled over by police, or being tailgated by road rage driver to only record 10seconds.
Sounds good but just like the road angel halo ultra 4k ur carnt add a rear view camera and the WiFi only connects to ur phone if you actually in the car but not inside house and ur need more than the 10 seconds videos. Just a gimmick really best to get a 360 camera for bk and front. The road angel halo ultra 4k was £200 and wouldn't connect to WiFi and software issues so had to return it for full refund. And bk to using a HD dash cam. Nice video though
He did not mention in the U.S. you can't use the features the hard wire gives. Like A.I. motion detection, collision detection, ADAS, No real time monitoring, and no instant app alert. So you pay exactly what others do but not get the same features. I believe it's a rip off.
