honda can hook but once you get over 300hp traction becomes an issue. even then its still possible to hit 9's with fwd. awd on a light civic = gtr killer
St33zy Steve They are extremely unreliable. Everyone who's done an awd conversion with crv parts wants to shoot themselves cause of reliability. For a drag car it's okay cause who cares about destroying drag cars but anything else it's worthless.
such an amazing job and congrats to the owner, he must b proud! its great seeing the awd taken from a crv, instead of a heavier mitsu, nissan, and subie combo.
I just love how the FIRST 7 second civic and is already faster than evo’s lol. I wouldn’t mind turning my integra awd. I think making a 9 second awd street integra would be a fun daily driver cause it really wouldn’t need a whole hell of a lot of power and could be done on 93 octane!
This isn't the first 7 sec civic , speed factory have their fwd b series that ran 7:61 , and yes I said it , speed factory 7 seconds civic is front wheel drive , and it's still quicker than this k series
At 5:28 fkn flying civic wow it look like as if they press 4 nitrous button at same time you see how it about to get off the ground I fly fkn mad what a civic
This year's type R is mostly for looks, and the fact that it is limited. It's a fan car. Later down the line, drop the limited, and you will get a faster car.
M. Wikan Sasongko I was just referring to the AWD, but mpg of course will be sacrificed when you want to go fast. You can’t get that acceleration and the gas mileage of a Prius. Unless we’re talking about motorcycles which is a different story
Is about time Honda's have some respect love this car I wonder if you guys can do that in a daily driver on a h23a blue top with all well drive crv drive traine
Is this the same blue on with the rpf1s that was running 9s on a stock k20a2 turbo?? I know for sure it's the same guy in both videos from CLM motorsports. Just wondering if it's the same car that they finally turned into a dedicated track car.
I think it's an Acura TL all wheel drivetrain they make swap mounts for Honda Acura V6 to sit low enough to clear the hood but no ground clearance or cut the hood and raise it. the only thing you would have to do is build a rear subframe to fit a diff and axles and make a tunnel for the drive shaft. it's most definitely running a standalone and anti lag and maybe custom forged internals? I'm still kind of new to it all
From personnal experience it does not handle hard driving with 250whp for more then a week so i hope so,the rear diff would not lock up it would be fwd only if it was not upgraded, happened to me on 3 of these diffs...and crv axles in the back are smaller then d series civic...
