Just a heads up guys....always point your toes when you land. I always did since I was a teen jumping cliffs in Sequoia Nat. Park. One day in my mid twenties,jumping off a 30 footer repeatedly I figured ahh screw it ill just land flat footed. I had my Teva sandles on. I jumped and the force of the water pushing up against my hip pushed it out of it centered base and strained the ligaments that kept it tight. In hindsight I probably should have wrapped a belt around my hips and layed on a couch for week in hopes of it tightening back up. Nope. I kept it pushing and the next week as I stood for awhile I noticed tingly sensations down the outside of my thigh. The beginning of what pinched nerves feel like. That was allowed to degrade from there after 20 years of working on my feet walking on a cement floor in my warehouse. Now I need a full hip replacement at 47. When I'm in a quiet room I can shift from 1 leg to another and it sounds like 2 wooden blocks tumbling against each other in my hip...and it hurts like a MOFO. Word to the wise ...always point your toes dudes. It will have long term negative effects if you don't,I assure you. Don't be like me...be as safe and smart as you can with your body. You only get 1.
