This company needs a BBR collab asap. Also i cant think of anyone better to test well engineered niche offroad vehicles than you guys. I hope to see more in the future!
@@countryboy4life969 buy a new dirt bike and then spend another 2k for a conversion kit. That'll run you more than $6500 for something that doesn't have the same purpose as the ruffian.
Just noticed I've got the same pair of shoes as Ethan, I love my Keens! Only shoe I've ever found that will last me more than a year. Those particular ones I've had at least 4 years, but are now my "yard work shoes". Love the content as usual, keep up all the good work!
Nice one guys. There is this trick i saw here on RU-vid of getting clear sound while you are wearing a helmet. The idea is, you wrap your mic with some soft material, like cotton or sponge form. How i works is, by wrapping the mic, it picks the loudest sound, which is your sound in the helmet. Also sound proofing the outside of the helmet sounds.
I've been saying to build snowbikes like this for years, particularly 200lbs or less, mono rail, front ski all the way back close to the track, low seat height, and rider weight further back over the track. Glad someone finally built my design. It causes me to scratch my head that the big companies are still chasing dirtbike conversions, but thats where the money is I guess. Ruffian is on the right track with this design and mindset. For serious deeper snow, the bike in this video needs a longer track though. Hopefully they'll build a 25-30hp model with a long skinny track, 136" long by 7.5"-9" wide would do it. And keep ot arpund 200lbs. Theres a huge market for utility oriented, super lightweight back country snowbikes with a low COG.
Very cool!! Seems quick for a 190cc. They have a $6500 270cc 8hp Honda version with a 40 series CVT automatic it weighs 200lbs with the same frame as the 190R.
They go great for little machines! ...Reminds me of some really wise words grampa once said to me when I was a kid learning about mechanical stuff: "Work smarter, not harder." -Seems to me, these folks might have had similar grampas. 😁
Man I get cold just watching you guys! You come close to making my Deep Southern roots think we missed something by not having snow! Awesome check ride and fantastic drone work- about par for GHPC.! FR
i have a feeling you'll be seeing a lot of these in snow rescue units in the future. it looks like this will go into dense brush where a snowmobile couldn't go, will still pull a gurney sled and with a different exhaust routing, it has a large, flat, stable area behind the seat to carry equipment. with a quieter exhaust system, i can see these in alpine military units as well. i can't believe this is the first purpose built commercial snobike. the concept has been around for years. as long as the frame and drivetrain are reliable, it had ought to be a pretty successful product for the company building them.
Man I love this channel! Makes my morning trying to make out what y’all were saying while riding, 😂 sounded like a happy review. No idea what was actually said. 😁 have a great day guys! 👍💪❤️🇺🇸
I'd be interested to see you guys get a pitbike with a snow bike kit and compare it to this. I wonder how it does in deep powder with the smaller motor. Sick video as always 🤘
Never knew snow bikes were a thing till now... At first I thought it was kinda pointless with snowmobiles out there, but now I can see the appeal. Those things are so much more nimble than a big ol clunky snowmobile!
I'm putting money down tomorrow on the e version. I almost bought a sno track conversion kit for my Sur Ron, but there are too many compromises with that, I like the purpose built design.
When you were chasing the bike with the drone was awesome. You flying skills just keep getting better Edwin. How do you think it would do in fresh powder ?
Very Nice!!! But secretly i was hoping for a 20+ mins video with drifttrike/lawnmower updates haha. I’m kidding! No matter what subject the video will be about, I’m allways super exited if there is new content on your channels. I think I can say that this is by far my favorite youtube channel to keep looking out for! Keep it going!! Greetings Ruben from the Netherlands
Id like mine to have a bit bigger lug on the track not to big maybe 2 to 2.25 and make it 2stroker and it would be amazing! Think i might have to get one of these! They look really fun thanks for sharing!
Arctic Cat made a purpose built snowbike. Something like Sherco 450 and a Camso track and ski kit. Called Arctic Cat SVX 450. Wasn’t in production long but I’ve seen a few on Marketplace lately on the west coast of Canada in the North Okanagan. Hour out of Revelstoke.
I've been thinking about making an affordable DIY snowbike/snowmobile project, using as many easy to obtain materials as possible and fully recording a tutorial so other people can make them. this is about what I would make, although it would be a lot more basic.
Ruffian wouldn't mind if you put a 2 stroke 250 in that, would they? ....You know what? That looks like it is doing fine just the way it is. Looks like a blast! Would be great for winter wilderness camping.
