There used to be a company that'd put wireless electric AC transceivers underneath entire room foundations. They'd then sell transceivers for the NEMA socket end. It'd work very similarly to a step-down transformer. Big coil at very high voltage resonates with a small coil at a small voltage. I'd imagine they're not around anymore because people with pacemakers exist, and homes are flammable. Also, very similarly, military cold war radio transceivers were built so that radio techs could use ambient radio frequencies to power their short-range setups. Similar idea but I guess everyone forgot because of the simplistic nature of just plugging stuff in and paying for electricity.
@yorkaseona4025
@yorkaseona4025 4 года назад
You know they stopped it for a reason. If it was as good as you described we would be on it.
@Lao-G
@Lao-G 4 года назад
The reason is almost certainly because it's extremely dangerous. To get 110V wirelessly with a coil the size of your foundation, that'd have to be very high voltage. That, and it'd certainly start a fire if not set up properly.

Ive had an Idea similar to this for years, Im glad that some company finally put something like it into action. I would like to see a company make a small usb chip that would plug in to a phone brick charger box thing that plugs into a wall like a normal charger, but will send some type of energy to charge your phone from anywhere in the world. For iPhone there would be an icon thing that you can press to instantly charge your phone when you press it. It would be located in the area when you would slide up and see where the wifi and stuff is. It would be similar for Android... And yes I know this would be very complicated to make happen but hopefully this will be a thing someday.

2 more problems with this: 1. Contrary to regular chargers where you use only the necessary power to charge ur device, this wireless charger is continuously transmitting power regardless if its necessary or not resulting in expensive electricity bills (many of which is wasted as seen in the vid) 2. Radiation. Admittedly we're already exposed to radiation but its not strong enough to have an affect on our bodies but I'd like to know the effects of these radio waves after continuous exposure
