you should try doing this with a vive and the wireless adaptor so you can use external trackers which should fix the issue where the headset loses tracking.
This was so much fun!!😍 It felt like we were catching a glimpse of what might happen in the future. Thanks a lot for bringing me a along and letting me make this video😊✌️
It Did, a lot of Viewers, and it was the Most Viewed German Twitch Stream at that Time i think. I mean it had littearly almost all of the Popular Streamers in Germany so makes sence.
The event was pretty sucessfull with only a few small problems and Marius allready announced that he's gonna do another one next year and they learned a lot and will improve the whole syteme
I shared it, cause I love it! Would love to test this. Though I know hadtracking is going to need some serious improvements for this to work smoothly :p but really awesome!
@@AsatorIV ?? What do you mean? This littearly is Crazy. Like imagine being in a game but being able to Touch everything around you? And also, How does this attract only "Kids?". I mean it littearly was a Championship of German RU-vidrs which have Viewers that definetly arent only Kids..
@@chrlsyrn I know what it's like, I have an Oculus Quest 2. But it's neither good parkour, because you can't see your feet (only one of the most important things in parkour) and the course is terribly short and primitive, nor is it good VR, since it runs on the first Oculus Quest that has really low resolution, not to mention all the ads on every step, literally. Plus they said in the video that it was lagging.
It’s really interesting to see somebody else making a video from the training. I watched the event and all the RU-vid that participated didn’t train but those who got to get in the next round were faster than bevor and in the final the fastest one was through in 14,something seconds. I‘m looking forward to next year when „next level“ will be again (hopefully)
Just a few years from now may be World Chase Tage will be able to adopt this set... With perfect syncing and visible feet, since the taggers are quick, we'll be really hoping to see the syncing process in its prime!
There's a reason why he used the Quest 1 instead of the Quest 2. That's because the VR headsets (1 and 2) are tracking the environment with an AI which is normally searching for things like furniture and calculating some other stuff. But because the parkour doesn’t have things like furniture and the lighting conditions are not the best it's hard for the headset to track the environment. The Quest 2 is using the AI even more and there will be even more issues. Marius (the guy who made the parkour) explained it in a video. That's how I understood it.
@@alexander__ Hmm, i see. I'd imagine there must be some way to disable the issue causing AI program. If so, that would be a quick way to get this working even better
it was meant to be a race, there were two seperate and idetical tracks along each other. so bumping in the event itself wouldnt be possible. also, the vr headseat is busy processing the tracking data so there probably is no room to process such complex things on top
The Oczlus Quest 2 works a lot more with AI to get tracking data. The problem is, that the AI is trained with furniture, so it won't work very well on a parkour like this. Theirs no way to deactivate AI or to train the AI on the parkour.
Add 3d trackers with 2.0 base stations to incorporate hands and feet. Update to Quest2 for better rendering/tracking. I am loving the concept that has been built thus far. Especially given the size of the team. Excited to see you come back to this.
There is a chance it will happen again because the "test" if its works on a livestream was succesful plus they know now how to improve. Well i'm hoping it gets bigger because thats what its deserves even the Event was the biggest shit we have in germany right now and Cost a 100k+
"Hmmm we have problems with lag. Do you think adding more ADs will fix it?" "Let's do it! If we fail... we are still WORLD'S FIRST - Virtual Realtiy AD RUN"
I think there you can add some leg sensors for showing virtual legs. And VR glasses must be more leightweight. Doing different flips is another skill in VR. Also interesting to watch something with AR
This was awesome I used to watch team farang all the time when I was like 13 14 15 when I loved doing parkour amd Jason is my favourite, he replied to me one time on snap and o freaked the f out haha domtomato is my second fave
@@flashbacktv2010 Well they got Sponsored by Microsoft / Xbox, Adobe, and i think Red Bull. But this was the First Time trying this so it definetly isnt what the Max Capabillity of these Features. And also they said they might do a second one of this which means this could actually be in the next part.
no actually not. the oculus quest cant support so many different devices becaue it is already working the processing of the tracking cameras and the virtual realtiy
@@zockersfreund then don´t use the oculus quest but use the vive 2 or the index, those have full working body tracking that can be modified to allow for a "tunnel" of multiple tracking cameras set up
It isn't. But AR would be the better solution to create a virtual world around the obstacles without feeling disattached from the actual world. VR is still way too slow.
