It doesn't actually work, it's kinda a old wives tail. As soon as oil reaches the stomach the acids go to work dissolving it. Maybe all it does is ramp up the stomach acid before anything else hits ?

Pretty sure its because they are there for the challenge? It could be that they are more known and they gave them a harder time.. Plus she also did take the rest of Pete's pizza.
+Buttered Toast the thing is, I can eat VERY spicy food, it burns as fuck ofcourse but I can handle it pretty well. It is the day after when you need to poop, THAT is the real torture.
The woman did an AMAZING job, especially considering she's just an "average" person and not any type of competitive eater. Honestly, I'm disappointed she didn't get more acknowledgement.... But we don't know what was going on behind the scenes and maybe she wasn't feeling too great after eating her own "world's hottest pizza" and some of FP's, too!!!! Still, shout out to her, very impressive. Hopefully she watches this and sees all of the positive comments.

Pete could not bear to not be the center of attention on this one, you could really see it all over his face. The remarks to the German about kicking his ass, the needless speed eating of the pizza at the end and the constant shit jokes. It was pretty cringe to be honest but fair play to him for visiting the UK and having a go.
she was just trying to eat as much as possible in a short amount of time he was taking his time to savour all the flavours as he is a professional eater of spicy food not a speed eater. I bet he could eat more over a long period of time than anyone there

he's not a fast eater. The woman nearly died of the spice and if you look at the spice champion you will see that he didn't break a sweat or showed any reaction towards the spice
