Owned and operated by Parques Reunidos, Tropical Islands is an indoor water park resort located in a former blimp hanger in Krausnick, Germany. The enormous complex is home to the World's largest indoor rainforest, several dry rides as well as plenty of water attractions. The water slide lineup is not as strong as you would expect, however, the park continuously adds new rides to improve it. When the new Amazonia outdoor area was opened, two new slides were added. In 2019, eight kids slides by Polin were added to the indoor area. In 2023, the iconic blue speed water slide was replaced by a new dueling racer water slide.
Unlike other water parks, Tropical Islands is open 24 hours. While most of the water slides close down for the night, the two slides ending in the Lagoon pool remain open, except for a short cleaning period.
Tropical Islands is located roughly 60 kilometers from Berlin's city center.
