The banter between these two strong men is priceless because they're genuinely making jokes about each other for the pure fun of it. Remember, they're not competitive eaters, they're competitive lifters! For them to compete each other in eating is fascinating because they're out of their element. I remember many, many years ago to when I was in my late teens and truly super-fit. I was a champion county middle-distance runner, I ran or cycled everywhere, and I could eat like a monster (or at least a 10 stone monster). I had been for a long run, and I was hungry. I went past a local surf-and turf restaurant in Stevenage, Herts (that's in the UK). They had a dish called the Meat Feast, and if you ate it all, you didn't have to pay for it. It was a huge thing covered in a rich cheese sauce and breadcrumbs. There was a layer of sausage, followed by pasta, chicken,pasta, ham, pasta, beef, pasta, fish, pasta, lamb and a final layer of pasta. I made it through nearly all the final layer. But by now, everyone in the restaurant was watching me. I toyed with a final piece of spinach pasta... and I just couldn't do it. So I paid up. I got a taxi home instead of running a mere 1.5 miles, because my legs were no longer under my full control. I was drunk on food.
