When Volvo Trucks launched the worlds strongest series-manufactured truck, the Volvo FH16 700, Tore Aase of Norway quickly placed an order and became the first customer in the world to take delivery of the brand-new model. He has now driven the truck in regular operations for about six months.
"Im delighted with it. Its possible to maintain a steady, high speed with a full load even on steep gradients", says Tore Aase, who hauls heavy loads from Stavanger on the demanding, hilly Norwegian west coast.

not bad at all, i do like the automatics which do feel great on the knee even though others make fun of you for using them, but hey, my legs don't hurt and you truly are awake when you get done.

just read, they have fixed that and offer three interior design in the xxl cab. and there is a rumor volvo will como out with a new cab next year.

they make the biggest cab mate, at least in europe:) but its not bigger space for the driver in it, cant get the seat back enough and im not even tall.

I'll take a Volvo over a Scania any day, first off it has a real automatic, not like the Scania where you still need to use the clutch while starting and stopping.

To Jocke also. Yes, you may be right ( No big deal ) regarding the clutch. It's so easy anyway and then as you should know, you don't get the V8 in the Volvo even though it is a strong engine the Volvo's NH 16 with the 6 inline. Ok, Scania is still the King of trucks around the world ! TCB from Finland who have owned a Scania in the US and not just that but the only one with a European boggie in the US. Then only one in history that will be ever registrered in the US...............................never ever again a Scania or even a Volvo will be on the road with e European boggie ever again in the US. I drive a 2014 FH16, great when new, but all that technology ( gimmicks) is not sustainable over a period of millions of kilometers on rough roads. In just 20,000km ( 1 month) the truck has had a major breakdown with a blown computer......... Leave them on the autobahn of Europe, dont send them to other countries. 5 years 1 mil km and theyre rubbish..........

To the driver 133.......................................yes, you are right. Yes, Volvo ( Euro model ) good but the Scania with the V8 is the greatest ever. With the 6 ok also but the V8 nobody can even come close. Ok, to speak of trucks the European trucks way more stronger and easier to drive an the American trucks. Ok, I have been driving them all so I know what I'm talking about. Ok, take care now you all truckers out there. TCB from Finland.

Volvo need to make manuals gearboxes as well the automatic ishift is good but I'd prefer a manual for moving heavy machinery

Dylan T actually the I shift is a manual gbox .it's controlled by a clutch servo which depresses the pressure plate and not a clutch pedal.

i DUNNO volvo, my dad had a brand new 2010 volvo with that i shift, it seemed a shit load slower, + his piece of shit volvo spent 6 months in the volvo shop and 3 months on the road.
