I think if he really turned it on, practised like he used to, got in the right mindset and really took it seriously he would still be up there in the top 3 at the very least. You look at some of these players now who are woeful at the best of times

Yes he had a better head to head record against all of them .. that's not my point.. many players play with a fluidity much faster than Phil taylors .. that's just a fact not a criticism, for example, mvg ,smith much quicker if they're slowed down it disrupts Thier momentum, that's how Taylor beat mvg by playing at his own pace . He purposely slowed him down and much of the time that got to him . Don't try saying he played fast he was very tactical in his mind games and it worked .

@@davidholgate123against certain players he most certainly slowed them down and wound them the hell up , mvg especially, can you not remember mvg getting soo annoyed and impatient it was brilliant.
