In an environment where knowing topography/tricks on every lane matters a lot, it really shows how years of bowling at that center helps a bowler with that much talent. From 2 titles to 4(one major) in 2 weeks. I’d say in bowling home advantage is HUGE! Congrats TD! Well deserved.

Tom D. has an amazing throw on this pattern, absolutely can tell how it hooks up, and watch it come right into the pocket to strike but you could tell it was going to strike due to ball movement. Absolutely beautiful ball movement. Thanks for the upload!

TD has been up there in the standings for a while even though he has missed out on titles. This is honestly not too shocking and I am really happy for him. Gotta feel bad for Prather though, to lose on Scorpion with that score; that pattern is not trivial. But, M. Tang, major errors, PLUS he softened the pattern for his competitors.

Congrats to the winner, but I am not a fan of the high scoring patterns. I realize there be different oil conditions, but I get the feeling they (soften) them up just for the tv audience.....Listening to some of the PBA men, the PWBA patterns are harder..

Thing was this was the lowest scoring of the 3 patterns in qualifying. Tom was top seed with 220 average. Cheetah's top was 243 (with 16th at 227) and Chameleon's top was 238. These guys were just on it last night.

This was a hard pattern it’s just tang used a urithane which pushed the oil down lane which gave them more room if he didn’t use that it would of been a lot lower scoring. Also these guys have a lot of reves which gives them more carry. Pwba bowlers will rarely have revs higher than 350. So they can’t play the lanes as much everywhere like pba bowlers can

Great players crate miss room even when they have a tough night hitting a spot being in the right ball and right part of the lane can cover up those small misses

I don't really understand why righties hook into the 2-8-10. Like Troup does at 9:12 There's no chance of converting it. I know they're going for count, but if they shoot a spare ball at it from the left, they'll probably still get the 2 pins and they actually have a shot of making the spare.

he’s not trying to convert it, he’s taking his 2 pins, you can throw it hard and straight at it which for 2-handers it’s not really easy to do and you have a possibility of getting 1 if you miss just a bit left or right

Better to play it safe and get the 2 than go for it and miss completely

@@doomusrlc At most you lose one pin in the count, and maybe zero pins attacking the split the way I suggested. In my opinion, they're playing it TOO safe. It's not a 7-10 or a Big 4.

@@peteg475 yea but it's the same concept. Righties won't have enough backup curve to clear the 8 shooting it from the left (unless you're Simonsen), so best they're likely to do is 2 regardless. It's like the Greek church. The better way to shoot at it is from the 4-7 or 6-10 instead of the 6-9-10 or 4-7-8 respectively, but if you miss then you're out an extra pin than if you just went for the 3.

I hate when I see a spoiler for a bowling event, but I watch anyway. Knowing who won doesn't say anything about the competition itself. That's where all the interesting stuff is, not in the final score--unless you're a gambler, I guess.
