My favorite expansion from Sims 3 was the World Adventures pack. I loved how you could go to Egypt, China, and France. I absolutely LOVED all the gameplay that came with that pack. Each world felt so rich and had so much to do and explore. There were new skills that came with every world (I especially miss the nectar making skill from the French world), and there was just so much gameplay that came with that pack. I really miss it and want to go back and play it again, just to remember that feeling. I would love to see them implement more worlds like that in the future of the Sims 4. We also really need some more African representation, from East, North, West, and South. There is SO MUCH culture and diversity from the entire continent that is always lacking representation in basically every media form.
omg sameee! also a latin american inspired (residential one) would be fun.. it's nice to have new content but another one of the same american inspired world is.. :(
Yes I would love that too! I was just thinking about World Adventures.....I liked the Egypt and China worlds most (the France one I remember being the least impressed with, idr why). I loved how you were in a different place and KNEW you weren't in USA/Europe. Don't get me wrong, I love Europe, but I want other parts of the world to be shown too. I would love the middle east/northern Africa! The archetecture! The tiles! The food! The culture! I also would love a swampy world. Somewhere wet and mucky and humid (any non USA places that spring to mind??) Ooo also possibly a super mountainous area? Like the world is literally different points on a mountain? (I.e not the foothills, but like theres switchbacks going up the mountain, houses built right into the cliffside/on the edge) I remember the mountains in Switzerland were beautiful... Maybe an Indian or South American world? Like Chile or Argentina? I know next to nothing about those places and it'd be wonderland to explore them via Sims.
Id love it too but i think they would be too afraid to misrepresent the culture. Also i think most middle eastern countries wouldnt work that well since social and universal ethic rights are different. I feel like for example egypt would not work anymore
When sim guru morgan said “We have so much content for family/different age groups” that made me think about how we didn’t really see interactions between teens and infants or new interactions about teens at all lol
I assume that will be practically the same as that of the adults (or a few less, even), considering they share most of the other same interactions and animations. But perhaps not! I hope we get at least a few teen-specific ones
I don't see how adding 3 extra lots would seriously diminish the experience of simmers on lower spec pcs? We don't have open worlds, so the game doesn't actually have to load anything. If they make them empty lots it will be the same as if they'd added a blank patch of decor grass or something. It wouldn't harm simmers on poor pcs but would improve the experience for the rest of us. Plus tbh when my pc was trash I would still have preferred a better quality pack that, at certain points, was a tad slow, than something lacklustre.
yeah when you have a bad pc but still wanna play a game, you just deal with it knowing you just have a shit pc, but still want a good game at the core. I played Zoo Tycoon 2 on my Dell PC as a kid that was laggy as hell, and I would still play it like it was the best game on the planet. I played sims 2 on that pc as well and dealt with 20-40 minute loading screens, and I put up with it coz the game was so good and beggars cant be choosers. You get what you pay for. And usually those people are just accepting of their situation and enjoy what they have anyway. I wouldnt have played those games if the content of the game was shit.
Genuine question though, why do people want big worlds so much ? In the sims 3 it made sense because you could only play in one world at a time (which was super annoying honestly), but here we have access to all the worlds at the same time - depending on which packs we own. So there is plenty of room
@@martelraykin I think it's probably to help with immersion..its more realistic to travel within the same town/world than go to, say, sulani from willow creek and back in the same day
It’s insane that we still did not get france with paris as a world! I would also like to see egypt again or spain, australia, a water world with boats and diving system, there’s so much more possibilities to give us unique worlds. I want more packs like snowy escape. That’s still one of the best expansion packs bc it’s special and the combination of different activities and culture was just perfect.
we had that in sims 3. They should give us something different in terms of diversity, not one of the most played out (france) And I mean while germany is not france, they already gave us something Europe.
@@kva5751 Yes, and they already gave us something based on America -and a lot of time-. So, why couldn't we have a world based on another European country, like France, Spain, or even a Scandinavian country ? I know there's already Germany and Italy, but Windenburg was released in 2015, and a lot of people boycotted Tartosa 🥲 (and btw, sorry if my English is bad, I'm French and still learning lol)
An underwater world would be amazing for merfolk to live :D and sims with certain diving skills could swim down there to interact with them! Though I dunno if that can be done because it may be hard to build in a world like that.
I'm just genuinely so bored of American waterside towns. Every world feels so same-y, and this world literally just looks like Copperdale with a bridge. I also feel like that explanation totally erases the diversity in non-Western countries. Cities all over the planet can be diverse without being melting pots.
Exactly! I just wrote a comment asking why they couldn't, for example, introduce a place similar to Singapore! And I only know about Asia (a bit), but I bet there are many much more fascinating places! I'm just guessing they're shying away from the very dense Asian cities that seem to be styled around the core idea of total visual overload with all their colourful neon signs and forests of huge buildings. I'm still absolutely tired of all this American and themepark British stuff they keep churning out. If they want a seaside town, why not look to Scandinavia for a change? Or Korea? If they want a warmer climate, then what about North Africa? Want a hot and dry climate? Middle East! Or North or South Africa! Australia, anyone? They might even represent a climate that a place is less stereotypically known for, but that exists there, too! So many cool, inspiring options to pick from!
That's what I've been thinking too. Sure it looks nice but there's nothing we haven't seen before or to make it stand out from the other similar worlds. I highly doubt we can get to that bridge, so it's just more pretty but useless decoration. Their talk about 'denseness' is also worthless as the lots will still be spread out.
Makes me worried for Sims 5... that it will be bottlenecked because they want it to run on all phones and TOASTERS. And they make the world less dense as it's more new player friendly? Have they lowered their target market from Tweens to 5 yr olds? It would have been great if we could have built on the water, but I'm guessing that would be too exciting... oh and too much of a resource draw on 20 yr old computers. I was really gutted when I saw that little Willow Creek type neighborhood. I hope the livestream revives my distaste for this new world.
I agreed. Yes I'm worried about the future of TS5 too. Unfortunately that's EA plan to reach all players including new and younger players for bigger profit. TS4 is nothing like previous old Sims games. It has watered down and bare minimum so players with old PC can run the game and also TS4 keep going longer than previous franchises which does not bode well.
@@lawrencekling8598 For real. The Sims 2 had more interesting game play than the Sims 4 and back then when I bought an expansion pack or even stuff pack, it was exciting. It transformed the game....now I can barely tell a difference with each pack. We get 2 new hairstyles and can do 4 new things. It drives me insane.
As much as I'm glad they are thinking about new players, they won't be new very long. This game isn't very complicated as many start playing very young. I feel they need to think about their seasoned players more. It feels a bit of a comp out to not do as much when they talk about new players and their needs or not understanding. That's why they have they have Emily. Right?
Exactly, they’ve been lowering the quality and complexity and somehow justify it by acting like “it’s for the new players” - like no, give us nuance, intrigue, what we’re playing for, not just an empty and lifeless shell of a supposed game simulator!
The entire sims 4 has thought of new players. It's not T for teens anymore. So either get with it or leave imo. It's not all about you anymore. You had sims 1,2, and 3. Any smart business move includes thinking about the new players, and as complicated as life simulation games are, it makes sense.
I hate when any game caters to new players. Like um...they are not dumb? They'll figure it out, people are pretty capable. Like it drives me crazy that these days there are just a ton of dumbed down games to cater to kids as if kids are incapable of figuring something out. When in my generation, we not only figured it out, but in my experience figured stuff out, that when I play as an adult can barely figure out and wondered how the hell I did so as a kid without having a guide or the internet. Kids are capable. New Players are capable. They dont need to idiot proof anything. And the sims isnt that complicated. We as humans figured out the past sims games as new players just fine! And its generally a game where you always learn new things as you play the game and experiment. And if the concept of REAL LIFE is too complicated to pick up on....then...LOL
I assumed it would be a small world (just bc I always assume the worst with the sims 4 😂) but since it’s a family centered expansion pack ig it would make sense for it to be a (relatively) large world with a lot of residential lots
You think ts4 is one game when its another. I think you need to accept ts4 is not the game you want and that the game has thibgs it wont change like World size.
@@indedgames4359 mmm no. I accept the sims 4 for what it is, that’s why I expect the worse 😂😂 they keep giving us mediocre content (and that’s not comparatively, just objectively). Admitting/being aware of the quality of content we receive from this installment of the sims franchise doesn’t mean we don’t “accept it for what it is.” I don’t care abt the world sizes too much (it won’t affect my gameplay much), just thought I’d comment bc it was a topic of discussion.
In the sims 3 witch toddlers used to accidently make their toys magically dissapear and the reappear, I hope they've added little gimmicks like that for other supernatural toddlers in this game.
Some Ideas for occult infants kids toddlers Spellcaster Kids / toddlers should have this! Vampire kids and toddlers should be able to drink plasma and “bite” someone (just cute animation and earns them some vampire points but the it doesn’t fill up needs) Mermaid kids should grow some sparkly legs and toddlers already have the hydration need nog hygiene Werewolf kids/toddlers should have a howl that also makes parents have a happy animation or a human parent maybe scared or sad if they have a bad relationship with the other parent (thats a werewolf) Yea those are my ideas
Windenburg is always and will always be my favorite world if only because of how many lots there are. I tend to default to Windenburg 9 times out of 10.
When he made that comment about worlds and representation, it got me thinking of things that I really wish were in the Sims 4. My favorite expansion from Sims 3 was the World Adventures pack. I loved how you could go to Egypt, China, and France and enjoyed all of the gameplay that came with that pack. Each world felt so rich and had so much to do and explore, including new skills that came with every world (I especially miss the nectar making skill from the French world), and there was just so much gameplay that came with that pack. I really miss it and want to go back and play Sims 3 it again, just to remember that feeling. I would love to see them implement more worlds like that in the future of the Sims 4. We also really need some more African representation, from East, North, West, and South. There is SO MUCH culture and diversity from the entire continent that is always lacking representation in basically every form of media. Also I'd love to see other Asian cultures represented. Representation of Central and Southeast Asia is sorely lacking as well.
Than have those people from those countries make a life simulation game. The problem is, these people are from America or at least live here. Not all of the consumers (or even most) will relate. The sims 4 has given us a lot of representation already, And while im not saying they should stop, Im saying stop being TOO picky.
@@kva5751 From what I can find, only about 15% of Sims 4 players are from the U.S., yet 14 out of 22 worlds are based on places in the U.S. (with one more on the way!) And then out of the remaining 8 "not U.S." worlds, 4 of those are based on Western European countries. That leaves 4 that are not based in some way North American or European. We definitely need more diversity and representation...
@@kva5751 I live in the States and even I want more residential worlds that don't look like America. My favorite worlds are Windenburg, Sulani, Mt. Komorebi, and Tartosa. I would have loved Del Sol Valley if it had more lots as it's inspired by where I grew up as a child. Because honestly they use the same part of the States to make their worlds and it's boring. I grew up in a desert, and was at a base of a mountain, how cool would that be? But seriously, people want to see worlds that remind them of home, and for some of us it's like seeing a place we might never get the chance to go to.
@@kva5751 I've been reading your comments and you're very ignorant. No matter how much you defend the sims team they will take your money and give you the bare minimum while you keep kissing the tip of their shoes and couldn't care less about your existence, while we seasoned gamers actually demand our moneys worth and representation.
@@kva5751 AND you also seem to have a lot to say over the slightest CONSTRUCTIVE criticism about the Sims 4, we do it because we LOVE the sims, go outside and take a fresh breath of air.
I just thought of something... with the new infants update along with children getting updated... will vampire infants get fangs? 🧐 I'd love to see that!
No fr I want it to be obvious my babies are occult babies fr, it’s always kids and up or teens and up. Ain’t fair my baby should be able to read minds and howl at the moon all they want
I do appreciate how candid they where with their responses, I like that they're telling us these things. I feel like it will help simmers to have more realistic expectations for the future. I really do hope that more diverse content comes out with future packs. I'd love to see an African world, a Scandinavian type world, and an East Indian world.
@@sunflowergoddess1203 There's a variety of ideas, Africa is such a large continent with so many cultures and landscapes. It would be hard to narrow it down I'd imagine. I think it would be nice to have some sort of Safari type thing with animals. Something that embraces African cultures along with it.
if they care so much about representing different cultures through worlds, why don't they do it?😂 either way, i'm excited to see what this pack has to offer. it looks like a great concept!
Yeah! Even if they are looking for "melting pot" cities, they could also go for, say, Singapore or Hong Kong. It doesn't have to be America all the time, and there could also be many Asian or African ethnicities represented in the places they choose instead of it having to be a traditionally white place. 🤷♀️ I'm also immensely frustrated and would love to explore and learn about the world (our world) and its abundance of fascinating cultures in this "life simulator."
I appreciate the performance considerations regarding world-sizes (not all of us have huge gaming rigs; I myself use an aging MacBook), but what I'm hearing is that there's a value-for-money issue with this content. It seems like we are getting less and less and yet EA asks us to dish out $40 (54.99 CAD here) for an expansion (plus all other new DLC), sometimes more than once a year. That amount feels like a lot right now with everything going on across various global economies. I do think it would be better if they provided more bang for our buck, or at the very least ensured the packs work properly. Otherwise, maybe they should be charging less or rethinking their pricing model and basing it on individual packs. More stuff, bigger worlds, more gameplay = higher price, for example, instead of the current flat rate model. Each would still cost a lot for what is basically a single addition to a larger gamescape.
My concern about players with min specs is how will that impact sims5 especially since they want to do cross play. I understand not everyone can afford a higher end computer but it still stinks for those of us who can or have better specs. I really hope they go higher with the recommended minimum specs so there is less of this in sims5 especially since they very likely will want to have that game around as long or longer than sims4 when it finally launches. I think a good compromise would be open neighborhoods (no loading screens) but also CAW so players who can handle more won’t be shafted.
Sims 4 was really the only game that had lower end specs as more priority (with comparison the pcs out at the time of each game.) And I think having cross play is automatically a higher end pc thing, or at least an acceptable pc.; but not lower end. Like it takes much more power to play a game online. Those old ancient low end machines would not be able to handle that well or at all for a sims game, which already is a too much for lower end pcs. I'm not worried about sims 5 in that regard. Its not like its a trend that they repeatingly done with every sims game; just sims 4. And I'm sure they hear us all complaining about the lower end pcs ruining the game lol. If theyre smart, they'll just release two versions; one aimed for normal to high end pcs, and one aimed for lower end. Likely wont, but it'd be smart IF they still want to provide for lower pcs while not bringing down the game's potential
Copperdale has 12 lots including the High School and the auditorium. 12 lots for Henford-on-Bagley, one of them is the bar, which the lot type can't be changed. 17 lots for Mt Komorebi, but 3 of them are secrets (hidden spots on the mountain) and one is the unchangeable Onsen. 15 lots for EverGreen Harbor, 4 of them are appartments.
Alledging consideration towards players who have lower computer specs in 2023 and referring to a game that overall costs 400$ is ridiculous. They can give better neighbourhoods and everybody will be able to afford a decent performance. This is how ea justifies their negligence. EDIT: Some people here claim computers can't run a decent game with the bare minimum. Again: we're in 2023, you are playing with NO LESS THAN 6 GB RAM and processors since the Sims 3 times have been extensively optimized. Powerful, open world games can run on that. Sims 4 are giving less for more money, which is an habit they've taken because it works. Why does it work? They have no competitor. ... Yet.
I mean when I first started playing computer games i remember experiencing constant lags and crashes until at least 2016 when i was able to buy something better. In 2023 there are soooo many cheap and affordable options to get something with a decent processor and a ram. I always feel EA developers simply try to justify their laziness. Up to this day, moders are the ones keeping this game alive and achieving things EA constantly say are "impossible" to deliver.
I have always played on lower end laptops because that’s all my family can afford. I thank the developers for being able to consider this when developing the game.
Please remember that this is a game that was developed between 2010-2014, and has almost always been made so it can run on lower end pc’s. This information is not new.
@@xangelikax1259 no it's not, that's always been the excuse.... Yet their game has less gameplay than the entire Sims 2 franchise, which precedes them by 10 years. So again, EAs reasoning sounds a little bit too weak.
I almost don't want to say this because I'll be so sad if it doesn't happen, but i really, really hope they're improving the photo system with this pack. They showed a lot of family photos in the trailers (which doesn't mean much one way or the other), but this pack kind of screams "take a lot of photos of your sims family!" it is a family gameplay pack, and I'm pretty sure they at least hinted there would be some sort of memory system. The photo system is laggy and generally feels like they started it with the intent to update it with several packs and just never really did. We should be able to take photos of the whole household!! Getting Sims to stand on that stupid mark shouldn't be a herculean task!! We need more poses, and poses specifically for various groups of Sims because you can take a photo of up to three sims but the poses are for 2 sims and the third is just awkwardly in the background. Fix the photo system!!
If they aren’t going to give us larger worlds, I hope in the very least they start making these worlds TRUE CLOSED worlds, where I’m not seeing the pancakes going for a jog around Tartosa or Sol de Valley when they shouldn’t be there. But tbh I think the gurus are so full of it with their reasoning for world sizes. Earlier packs had more lots and in particular worlds like san Myshuno had a lot more going on. It did not break or slow anyones game, and this was at this point 4-5 years ago? Technology has come a lot further so there’s no justification to skimp on this. Especially since they already used this as their justification for making the graphics cartoonish and closing the open world concept we had in the sims 3. Those things would impact the FPS rate but not lots that are only active when loaded up. So again, this excuse makes no sense and is JUST THAT.
I think it would be more interesting if they make worlds inspired by Norway or Nordic places, were is always day or night. I think that would be great for gameplay.
Maybe we’ll get 1 or 2 moles and 1 or 2 stretch marks for base game when infants come out and more with “Growing Together” like how we got 1 or 2 body hairs in base game and got more in “High School Years” Edit: OMG not to be like those people who are like “omg I’m famous” no shame to you, but this is the most likes I’ve gotten on a comment!
i’m disappointed with the world size. i was really hoping and kind expecting a buzzling town, with maybe one city district with apartments and then 2-3 more suburban neighbourhoods. i was hoping for something like 15-18 lots realistically, in my dreams maybe even 20+ lots. while i do appreciate them thinking of newer players they do that with every world, so one where the restictions arent so big would have been nice. it’s getting frustrating when they keep putting limitations to the potential a pack/world could have. i feel like when my oldish pc (as old as ts4 actually) can run hogwarts legacy surprisingly well then even new players with crappy pc could handle bigger worlds. especially when assuming that newer players wont have many packa purchased, compared to me who owns a vast majority. the whole “making sure newer players have a good experience too” kind of seems like a cheap excuse most of the time
Now if they could just release a create a word. Wouldn’t need to be like in the sims 3. I would be happy to just make blank copies of the existing worlds.
@@Kat-yr1xe Sure, but this would give use the ability to generate brand new empty versions of the worlds while still having the original. This would likely be the only way we would have create a world given the Sims 4's limitations.
@Raven October But in Sims 2, you can create blank copies of the existing worlds. Like it was a part of the game itself, you didn't need to get a 3rd party application (though I do admit those sims 3 worlds are gorgeous)
if the sims 4 was open world and we had the ability to move between worlds without a loading screen, I think San Sequoia would be located somewhere between Willow Creek and Tartosa, due to the similarities in vegetation and colors. Also, I think Britechester is close to Evergreen Harbor, if you notice, the climate and vegetation of the two worlds are very similar. Has anyone thought of this?
I know people don’t like the fact that the world are somewhat similar but I think one upside of this is it’s easier to connect worlds together. like if my sims live in oasis springs I’ll connect my build styles to del sol when playing so it’s like suburbs and downtown. It’s more immersive then them visiting a lot on windenburg which is completely different.
I think as worlds go, I would like them to just make World Kits (even if theyre more expensive than normal kits; as I would expect coz worlds are more extensive of time to make), and have them just make all sorts of locations not tied to an expansion pack theme. Having it need to match an expansion pack makes the options limiting. but just having stand alone worlds would make it more possible to bring more areas that dont seem as similar to the game. Like even if they were to say, make a france themed world, and not necessarily have new smaller content to match like food, clothes and just have it for asthetics, I'd be okay with that. The smaller content could be either added for a larger bundle price or just sold separately in a cheaper kit. Sure people are gonna complain about the cost, but at this point its to be expected, so it's really not worth griping about. But that's what I would like to see. I'd buy them just like I bought the sims 3 worlds, even tho they were too expensive and I only now recently got the remaining that I had missed lol. At least this time it's not connected to a damn points system where I spend more than I actually need to get anything.
Each neighborhood only has four lots she said, so I’m assuming closer together lots and more set dressing. I was hoping for 5-6 different neighborhoods since this pack seems to emphasize them.
Omg if they gave us kangaroos that would be so cute.. of course not as pets or farm animals, but kind of like how they did foxes where they appear in the wild and you can befriend them, that would be cool lol
There are actually 27 lots in windenburg… still 12 lots is not bad, I definitely wished it was atleast 15 though. It’s similar to Henford-On-Bagley which is a favorite of mine.
Does anyone else remember Sims three world adventures? like holy crap the game was so good… came with like four different places you could go with a ton of different options😢. The Sims is never going to be the same. They’re cutting corners faster than McDonald’s trying to up their prices
I liked strangeville because it felt like it had a clear storyline. I hope in the future that they make other worlds like strangeville that are in other countries than Western Countries. Like I would love one in the Philippines, Himalayas, hell maybe even India would be nice one.
You should do a poll. Would simmers rather have 3 neighborhoods with 4 lots each in a big neighborhood that you can't get to or would they rather have 3 neighborhoods with 4 lots each in a smaller, cozier neighborhood. I think I'd prefer a smaller, cozier neighborhood than a huge fake world I can't visit. More like Tartosa.
Honestly, I’m more than a little irritated with the world size thing. I’ve played on some LOW end computers, computers almost as old as the sims 3 and ones that break opening Microsoft word. None of them gave me trouble playing windenburg but DID stutter on later packs. I feel like it’s not anywhere near as performance heavy as they’re saying. I know it could just be my experience but I still find it annoying to be so held back by something that MIGHT impact gameplay on lower end PCs but doesn’t necessarily.
The sims 3 was hypothetically such a great game but my god all I remember is the CONSTANT crashing. It was so depressing to the teenage me and I remember being SO excited for the sims 4 because at that point all I wanted was a game that could actually load into a world with no issues.
I just want to know if we're going to be able to have family photos? Like: baby shower, birthdays, (as they age up through the years), holidays/events? where they can all pose together? With new poses? Like even traditional family photos of the kids posed together or with the parents and the kids? I would like to see that in this update 🤷🏾♀️... That would make the family pack more family like... Available for base game? Or even in the next update.
the cool thing about things being built for less powerful machines is that those of us who have a beast sitting under our desks can play a save file with 40 gigs of CC and mods without any major lag issues....i'm ok with that. but I was just fantasizing about a create a world tool for the sims 4 yesterday. that would be awesome!
It's just nuts to me that here we are in 2023 and the team can't optimize this game to run beyond 12 lots. They say it's to include those who don't have high end machines, but it just smacks of laziness to me, have you ever known another game to throttle back on performance so people can play on just about anything? I have a good gaming pc but the only game that consistently lags like crazy is Sims4.
So far, the official videos and now this, have me anticipating, though I will hold judgement until I see the mechanics of the new expansion. As for the new world, I'm not really much surprised, but I will say I would love to see at least one more 'empty' world like Newcrest that we can play with. Thanks for this info Pixelade!
Yeah I'm definitely sick of 12 lot worlds. It's one thing in suburban or rural worlds but it feels silly in worlds like Del Sol Valley that are supposed to be urban. Sometimes it feels they're trying to make sure people will keep buying bc they run out of space constantly between that and the lack of Create a World
I would love more diverse worlds but it needs to be combined with some way of keeping sims restricted to their own worlds by default. It's so immersion breaking when iconic townies turn up everywhere you go. Judith Ward in Granite Falls, Father Winter in Sulani, The Landgraabs, Fengs and Pancakes absolutely eveywhere.....its soooo frustrating.
i'm ok with they wandering about in other worlds. what i'm less ok is, when the original townies die, for example the japanese townies in mt komorebi, the next generations replacing them don't look like japanese at all anymore. i'm ok with half-foreigners, but now all of them are foreigners.. now i understand why some people want to keep the original townies alive.
I find it a cop out when they say we have to make the worlds smaller for min spec pc's when you can just optimise it better, since u made everything a loading screen. Plus I ran a potato laptop for sims 3, did the laptop burn my thighs?...Yes but I was able to play the game. I don't get why gameplay needs to suffer because I could run an old dell laptop for sims 3 and we all know how demanding sims 3 is.
So we always complain about bugs, slow games esp with more people on the lot it lags and them making the worlds not terribly big is one way to make sure the game works. They don’t have unlimited resources to work with and a lot of sims players don’t either
What a well articulated way of saying you’re getting small worlds and we’re not doing any extra work. We don’t care about how much money you put into this game we just want it. Mmm
I went looking for bridges like the ones in the concept art when we first saw them. There are a number of South American bridges that were similar. And when looking at the neighborhoods which were near those bridges, the buildings look very much like the two-story, brightly colored ones in the concept art. Many places in the world have similar architecture to those we find in TS4. While the devs may be thinking of San Francisco, other countries would feel at home with some of those features.
The fact that occults can't do magic till they are teens is the reason I use mods, that way I have child spellcasters, and with other mods, fairies, and witches
You just gave me the best news. The fact that those concept photos were both San Sequoia means that there really is a shot for a lot of the things we've been speculating in the forums. People thought maybe not, bc of what that other photo looked like. But since they're both the Grow Together world concepts, that means they have Nothing to do with all the other things that had been teased.
To the people bitching about their culture not being represented through new worlds that are introduced.... Seriously? WTF do you want? EA can only put out so much content at a time. Let's say the next world is based on, IDK, French culture. Great, they're represented now. But the African culture still doesn't have a world. Muslim culture still doesn't have a world. Native American culture still doesn't have a world. There are MILLIONS of people who want their culture represented. It can't all happen at once and when YOU want it to.
for me, i didnt ask to be represented. i just love to see non-american world. san sequioa looks similar to willow creek. and because this is an expansion pack, meaning, the pricing also includes the price of the world. if the world is similar with base game or other pack's world, then hmmmm
Simgurumorgan said that Hopewell Hills has the most "DENSE" suburban neighborhood does that mean that we'll get townhouses!!! I feel like a lot of glossed over the word or maybe I am looking too deep into this. But I think I can see how close the houses are in the concept art.
The sour baby faces isn’t even a new trend. I’m 35 and we’ve always loved feeding a baby a lemon and watching the faces. Lol. I think it’s a moment everyone looks forward to with a baby. 🤣 My best friend’s oldest kid ruined it for us when he loved the lemon. She likes them too tho.
I definitely would like to see a Dubai or Mumbai in Sims. Maybe even somewhere in South East Asia. A lot of the Sims Worlds are really, and I hate to phrase it this way, really white and generic. I don't regret saying it. Where's the culture? The diversity? The spice?
I'm also disappointed by the world's playable lots BUT I've noticed that they are making more playable open world areas. Since Warewolves, the neighborhoods that don't require load screens seem to be more lively with more to do than in any previous pack aside from maybe city living. Like, if we got windenburg today, I feel like cafes, clubs, and the pool venue might have been in the open neighborhoods rather than being lots you have to load into.
I am dying every day I've been wanting this new pack to come out so bad. I don't want to play Sims at the moment till this pack comes out. I can't play Sims until this pack comes out AHHHHH
If they could just give us an official CaW, where we could create, edit, and share our own worlds, we'd all be happier! It could even still be on ps4 and Xbox if they do it like Skyrim/Fallout have their mods.
I stopped playing Sims 4 years ago and I keep watching Sims 4 news hoping it'll suddenly turn around, but it seems like the sims franchise is going more towards aesthetics and background imagery, completely abandoning interesting gameplay and lively, playable lots... In effort to make the game more "new player" and "minspec" friendly, the game is becoming extremely dull for what I expect from the franchise, and I don't know, feels like there's no going back at this point :( (but you know I'm still going to keep watching - continuing my hopes that things will suddenly turn around!!)
As someone who plays on a laptop I appreciate how they are looking out for me and other players who can't afford big gaming consoles, I am sorry to you guys on pc because I know it's disappointing to you all. I do know since the sims 3 they have been working on making the game more accessible which I am grateful for since I heard that Sims 3 was melting laptops
I secretly wish for a long time for a northern world like Iceland or Greenland for a future pack. Together with building an running hotels it would make sense. Or Iceland ponies, then we finally would have horsies in the game ❤🎉 and skiing/sledding and winter sports could be included too.
Thanks for the update, I think alot of these updates were pre pandemic stuff and they just added a little extra because they had time. Im not expecting much but Im extremely excited I hope we can get wer-babies, I cant wait to make a baby grogu if I can use my Star wars items on them. Its renewing my love for the game. As far as the content upgrades Im not expecting much. I think we have another year of Sims 4 before they start moving towards Nex gen content or maybe they do it as a 10 year anniversary surprise.
I feel like there could be a better way to handle the lot sizes? Like they can’t make an option for people on lower laptops and pcs so they can have the option of lower lots or higher if they can handle it.
Some Ideas for occult infants kids toddlers Also just mesh Toddlers and infants together in this comment Spellcaster Kids / toddlers should suddenly “teleport” their toys away and make them re appear (idea from someone else Nicole) Vampire kids and toddlers should be able to drink plasma and “bite” someone (just cute animation and earns them some vampire points but the it doesn’t fill up needs) Mermaid kids should grow some sparkly legs and toddlers already have the hydration need nog hygiene Werewolf kids/toddlers should have a howl that also makes parents have a happy animation or a human parent maybe scared or sad if they have a bad relationship with the other parent (thats a werewolf) Yea those are my ideas
Holding my breath but I’d still love to see preteens one day, I think they would fit in very well with the theme of this pack being all about family and the different stages of life. That would be a lot to pack in though lol
the “we want to be new player friendly” things kinda drives me crazy bc the game has been out for years and it just kind feels like an excuse. I also feel like they prioritize potential new players over actual players
Hey Pixelade can you help me understand something real quick? On the EA app it states that if you pre-order the Growing Together Expansion Pack by April 27th, you get *exclusive* content for the game (Baby Carrier, Slide and Swingset) but the pack says it releases March 16th... so is this *exclusive* content actually gonna be for everyone?
Its not a preorder thing. So even after the pack is out, we see everyone play with it. u got a month and half to buy it to claim those things. Its unusual so a lot of simmers were confused. =)
We need more worlds like Africa, middle eastern or Europe inspired. And I’m just so confused how we still don’t have cars yet their adding parking meters AND traffic lights 😭 it would be nice if that’s a future hint but knowing the SIms team we’d be giving our hopes up. I wouldn’t even be mad if we had a car that the sim got in and it disappeared and went to the blue loading screen like in the Sims 2
Ngl the world size argument is bull. Windenburg still works with the number of lots and variety. I think the real case I'd they don't take as much care, the no.1 priority for packs now is to get them out as soon as so 12 lots with 2-3 empty ones is the norm now cos they can't be bothered to be ambitious and are to lazy with these packs now
Okay, no disrespect towards people with weaker PCs or anything but am I the only sick of hearing this: "We can't make the worlds bigger because of performance issues, since people with minspec Pcs need to play too." I really wish we could get worlds in new and fresh vibes and aesthetics that are just as big or at least similar to Windenburg.
They make the excuse of making 5 lots for eps cuz of players with “minspecs”… why is it my fault people are playing the sims on 2008 laptops 🤦♀️ my sims are outgrowing neighborhoods so fast it’s annoying
Lol your Sims outgrowing neighborhoods are more important that people who can't afford new laptop but want to enjoy their favourite game without being poor shamed?
Might be just me hahah but I 100% don't care about games making decisions that tend to favor weaker pc's systems, if performance it's their goal that is ultimaly better for everyone. The lifespan of the sims 3, imo, had to be short because pcs wouldn't handle anymore packs... ts4 is not perfect (it sucks specially gameplay wise) but at least it's performing well for an almost 10 year old game or better compared to previous ts games 🤷♀
Agreed with the tweet that the new world just feels small and empty. I bought My Wedding Stories, fully knowing it was a busted pack, just because the world design was different from what we already had. So far, San Sequoia looks very... base game. I think this is going to be the first pack that includes a new world that I don't buy right away.
Anyone else's game completely bugged out? I just updated my game after not playing for a couple weeks. I tried playing my game and my sim would just stand there and not do anything even after resetting...
i know this is really off topic but whenever the skin details was mentioned it made me think of how we don’t have eye lashes for the base game. i am a console player, so making a sim the way i want to make them is hard considering consoles don’t have cc to make faces and facial features look more realistic. idk maybe it’s just me but i feel we need eyelashes in the sims basegame.
well, those weird black thingies on eyelids should be lashes... Im so darn sorry for console players, i just can't live without ea lashes remover and some 3D lashes cc:(
@@reynavaldez13 i think it’s like an eyeliner of some sort im not really sure? but i would like to have an eyelash section in the game to pick out different kinds. and yeah it makes me sad sometimes to see people make the most beautiful realistic sims with all their cc.
@@annikajacobsen5205 right i pretty much have every pack on console. i used to have the game on pc whenever i was younger, but my pc unfortunately broke and i began to play on console and i’ve been playing on console for years. so i’ve pretty much gotten used too it.
I truly hope the next world is an underwater world. It's so so sad that mermaids are the only occult without their own world. They have to change to live on land in Sulani instead of being able to exist in their natural environment underwater and that combined with the fact that they're the only occult without baby and build items themed after them instead of themed for the world makes them the most slept on occult. They should also be able to eat and use the restroom and just all around meet every need in the water plus swim in all the bodies of water in all the worlds! The creators aren't utilizing so many possibilities! Different terrains, plants, fish, water types, eco systems etc..... YOU CAN DO IT MAXIS TEAM!
