@@jvracingvids6529back in the day the Street Cars had to complete a circuit around the property without stopping, have working lights, wipers, horn, etc...tagged and Insured before they were allowed to try and Qualify. These aren't "Street Cars". World Street Finals has lost all credibility. Edit: It was also a 1/4 mile back then.
@@hillbillyhitman8506 I'm from the UK, but went to the WSF aged 9 in 95, then in 99 and 2002ish iirc. Was amazing to see, plus there was a lot of actual street racing round the area, and lots of gambling which we didnt get at tracks over here. Great times
Holy shit I’m glad I didn’t go today… all 1/8th mile racing and they dropped heavy street? Been going since the late 90’s and it’s just not the same. I guess the cars just got too fast or they don’t have enough shut down area….
Street nationals but pro mods are not street cars Pro mod class has gotten boring. 90% of the cars are the same. Grass roots racers are much more exciting to watch. Funny how many racers are trying to be Cleetus with the flag thing.
What's even funnier is the number of people who think Cleetus is some kind of innovator and that everyone is following his lead, you ever hear of a fella named Evil Knieval?, he paraded the flag back in the 1970's and many others did the same.
History repeats itself but this generation doesn’t know this because real history is not taught in class anymore plus this generation get their history from social media.
