I have this on DVD. Best series ever. If you haven't seen Band of Brothers yet, you need to see it. It opened my eyes to what our boys went through during that war. God bless Easy Company, 506th PIR.
THANK YOU FOR SHARING/MAKING THIS.................. I HAVE FAMILY MEMBERS WHO SERVED IN WW2..... I cherish every single one of them..... The men of Easy Co. were the bravest, most dedicated sob's ever.......I truly do thank all of them...... i AM A BIG HISTORY buff... Civil war and WWII especially......WHAT A BLESSING~
To a brotherhood of heroes before my time, thank you for the selfless determination and sacrifice you have given. In true victory there are no losers. I could never thank you enough for all you have given us and I'm sorry there comes a time to leave us,although as saviors of this country, your spirit and effort will live on as long as "freedom" is a word which we relish and never take for granted.
i understand what you mean. In college as of right now i am a history major, studing world war two, which is my best and most interest topic. but nothing i learn will teach me the emotion of what these men went through. So to get a full understanding of the way their lives were, i watch this video and every time i do, i get the goose bumps because of the way they show their emotions of being proud of what they have done. To be completely honest i may be addicted to World War 2.
Wonderful. Very good movie highlighting just how harrowing the war was, and still is for the people that actually take a moment to think about it. May the memory of those who lost their lives live on, for eternity.
such a great video! if you dont have glazed eyes watching this then you're not human. these are the greatest men to ever live. i thank God that they were saved for that moment in time
i tear up when i watch this..its so sad...all those men..all those lives..lost..forever.. Lest we forget. The blood of our comrades. We will never forget them. please...rest in...peace...
touching story hearig it from the guys that were there. it brought a tear to my eye. all we have today to go off of is games, and people really died back then in a war that we play as games today.
This is a series commemorating greatness. There will never be another Company like Easy Company. This is pure heroism. Each man is greater than Achilles or Ulysses, greater than biblical heroes like Moses and Noah.
Nice vid man. No matter what anyone says fighting is a natural human instinct, wether you seeit from either side of the conflict. You fight for want you believe in, and you fight for the people next to you, family or friends. It all comes down to whos next to you
These men should not only be honored for there duty of protecting what we have today, but they should be honored for their word and experiences they shared with us. To recall on an event of this nature, is not an easy task, which you can see in every man's word. They tremble in every word and some of there emotions they were unable to control. Even when the men explain there own personal evens, you can see that they do not want to relive the experiences of war, AND for this i FULLY RESPECT THEM!
my grampas brother died a couple years ago, he was in the 101st, i would have loved to be there in the greatest generation with him and all my other family members who answered the call.
awesome video, very well done ive had great respect for these men since ive read the book that made them famous. you really captured them in their best. good job m8
Both of my grandfathers were in WW2. One of them was a MP and the other one was a soldier in the rear forces. He was shot by a German sinper once but survived.
VERY awesome video. I got Jump Wings tattooed on my, with 1944 written above it. The men of Easy Co. have inspired me that much in life! I'm soon getting 1945 and Currahee! tattooed below it. God Bless them always. You saved the world.
I got respect for the soldier(s) who filmed all those real clips! Nobody has thought of that i suppose. But without those 'filming-soldiers'.. we never knew how they really fought!
as a black man..if i had the chance to meet just one of these brave men..i would fall to my knees and kiss their feet for what they done..race aside.i would say thank you for giving us a better america.and almost 70 years later.your actions are still being talked about as if it happened yesterday
May these men who have fought and died bravely rest in peace. For they have done a great service to their country and the world..."They depended on each other, and the world depended on them."
Now is truelly a wonderful time in History, for now we can use video to keep the first hand experiences, lives and knowledge of the soldiers and people who experience such events. We shall pass on this knowledge to the future where they can see and listen to people who may be very dead and gone, but the stories will forever be told in perfect clarity. Theres a huge difference between reading history....and watching it unfold over video as if you were there. Always remember. Never forget.
Well, I don't personally think that, but I'm willing to look at from a different perspective, do you know where I could find that book? Like do I have to order it offline or can I find it at a regular bookstore?
very spectacular video, that day that will never be forgotten by the veterans, brave honor courage and the will to win the war turned the world into another face which is the victory and peace, but my comment on past wars is that besides it was very horrendous and exotic; it is driven by a big fault which is the large number of soldiers who invade at the same time, there was no clever strategy to pursue any war there was only power, will and sacrifice.
''There is nothing good in wars but there is good why we fought wars and we fought for the same thing.'' Thanks to the veterans of the Final Great War that determined the fate of the World.
My Grandfather was drafted for WW 2 after pearl Horbor. Luckiely his job was in a kitchen. He's 89 years old in february 2012. Bless those souls that died in World War 2. Alies and Axes
My grandpa and great-uncle George fought in the Pacific...Great-uncles Milo and Joey (O'ey) fought in Europe. I truly believe that there will NEVER be another generation like this one.
All men that have fought in battle, that have fought bravely and justly and honorably should be held in our highest esteem. All soldiers make sacrifices, and some make the utmost sacrifice, respect them all, and let them know it, for that is all that the really ask.
i cant comment on why this war was fought but i can tell you this much these men had so much class and honor they were willing to die for there belief willing to die for one another now thats loyalty i wish i had the pleasure to know one of them
hey where did u get the 1st part of the speech where it goes " when people ask me what i did in the war...? i got the vid "east company, we stand alone together " but i cant find that part
There will never be men like this again. Those were real men. no generation will have the same courage as those men had! God bless them and their comen generations of kids! Let the world know that this must not happen again!
Awsome video!!!!, magnificent!.I think all the young and brave men who fought in one of the biggest human conflicts shall be remembered, were can I get the music of this video?. -Best Regards!
All soldiers that participated in WW2 were heroes. Even the germans, italians and japanese, they fought for what they believed was right. And aslong as you do that, you are a hero.
This is the intro to Medal Of Honor European Assault and its a very good video. But i have a question did the 101st attack Italy or was that only the 82nd?
In the world, if we dont see different and if we can see our different and accept it! then we are a "brand of brothers" to share ours even happy, glory and peaceful !!
..not a day goes by that dont think of those men who bravely fought for our cause.Major respect is to be dealt to them.therefor i shall say this small prayer to them in my gratitude. Lest we forget The blood of our comrades Please be safe, never again shall you be harmed In honor we remember you Please brothers...Rest in...Peace.
+Mike Matheson ty from my family * i'm a af brat, retired... Dad served in Desert storm, and name on mactrophy in the smitho. in Washington D.C....... GOD bless u and your family..... :)
Amazing! true Heroes Of WW2 Along With The Rest Of The Allies. Makes Me Cry To Think I Wouldnt Even Be Alive If It Wasn't For The Men That So Bravely. For This I Salute The Me From WW1, WW2 and Today.
No matter what side they were on, we should never forget them, most of them were just young boys who never live to see their 20th birthday. Germany and Japan were putting men into action as old as i am - 14, 15, 16...pretty scary to die that young if you ask me!
These men were heroes, as they were victors. I had a relative who was not in the Band of Brothers Easy Company. He was in the 505st and liked to jump first out of the plane. My father was on the other side and shot at paratroopers. Unfortunately he lost and was forever shamed. There are no heroes in defeat. You have to be brave in victory. You only look stupid in defeat.
