Lol funny I stumbled on this today seeing as I'm currently working on a new world building. It's really fun watching it because it's like watching myself twist and turn and examine every part of my world. A lot of really good advice in here. And I agree generators are really good to help w inspiration. Great video 👌🏾
My pc stoped working and i won't be able to fix it soon so listening to your world building series and other videos is making me focus and have more ideas for my landscape sketches, also i'm learning a lot of things to better up my project. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
I think one better-than-random way of generating ideas is to list things which are cool to you (and sound awesome just by themselves, without context), then try to make unusual combinations.
Sunken City does nto need to be under water, it could be sunken into the ground, or it could be just the slums of a Megacity, that is culturally and politically so isolated that is practially counts as its own city, or instead of the slums, it could be the city of the political elite, the shadow rulers that hide from view.

I cannot capture my appreciation for this video alone in words! There is plenty of inspiration and a lot of value in this video for creative writing and I absolutely love it! Now that I think about it, that sounds really strange. I don’t know, I’ve been working on this for some time I always share my ideas with my friend and she loves the story she always likes to draw art of the characters. And trust me it may sound weird but I promise you it’s better than that: “long ago dragons were hunted my humans for many years. Dragon’s would have to hide away from humans out of fear. Until one day they could take it no longer. They wanted to rule over humans. God had intended humans to rule the earth but the dragons forgot their place and started a war. Other creatures joined the dragons and rallied up against humans. But the dragons would soon loose. The lord and his angels banished them into a world that God would banish the animals that turn against humans. The dragons swore to take revenge on the humans that they would come back and enslave them. Now the dragons are trying to break out of this new world. They made a deal with the satan that if the dragons make demons into physical monsters and they would let the satan have all the human souls he wants, that the Devil will help them break out and rule humans. I just wanted to know if you guys thought it was lame.
