@@karlaidy7842 Actually, not true. Not because they don't play football. It's because they don't have the land. In Malaysia, almost all vernacular schools are not fully funded by the government. Typically, the land, the buildings and infrastructure are under private ownership. Of course, they can apply for annual grants from the government, which help with construction and maintenance costs. But they have to be responsible for the rest of the costs themselves. Hence, they need to be cost effective and cost efficient.
