This was my stomping ground for 10 years 15 years ago! Same old spots, loved watching this and seeing all my old bash plate marks. Charlie is just out of this world!
Amazing video. I used to ride all those spots in early 2000s on some crap mountain bikes and then a Monty, so this was quite a trip. We’d all meet up a Chainey’s cycles in Shenley on a Sunday, as one of the best local trials riders (Steve) worked there, then head to the station, “the beige”, the Point... I miss those days. Needless to say the standard of riding has improved a bit since then! Nostalgic greetings to the old MK gang from “Hair” as I was affectionately known back then.
Mega nostalgia watching this, rode back in 2002-2006 in my youth days. The guy on the silver 20", left footed, blue top, nike joggers (Presume its Charlie?) He is a talent, pure class. Makes it look effortless.
I remember when Hans Rey was in the videos and magazines in the 90s, then Martyn Ashton & Martin Hawes doing unreal stuff, Eddie Tongue, Chris Akrigg....the riding gets more extreme. Some of these moves make Fabio Wibmer and Danny MacAskill look like beginners. I wish I was 20 again.
Man MK bus station is looking ropey AF these days, I remember when it was all shiny and new I used to skateboard here back in the day. Amazing riding. How the hell do you jump that high, I’d struggle even without a bike! Fantastic skills lads.
Yes, it's definitely harder to appreciate from an MTB perspective. 20" is more bouncy static moves, where 26" is good for rolling. Check out Jack Carthy on RU-vid and Insta, he is 26" rider but goes big trials moves on a full sus!
How things have changed, I had a mortgage and was out grafting all day when I was there age, stopped using my BMX was I was 15 have you ever obviously not discovered girls yet.
@@TheShinDig Find any BMX street edit and tell me that its not technical and powerful. Guy might be the best "trials" rider, but I have no idea. Best 20" rider is a complete troll title though.
