@@chilly7261 Its true they do smoke with full brake application, Most aircraft can smoke their brakes if they are big and heavy enough excluding most general aviation, reason you don't see it a lot of the time is when there is enough runway to save brake ware and so they dump energy in other ways such as air brakes or reverse thrust or if the aircraft is very light and empty so they might only use 30% brake or whatever is needed
Well done Ramy and the entire team. At close to 150 kg, this is the heaviest model you have built. Which was more complex to build, the A 380 or C 17? Hats off to everyone behind this project. Boeing would be proud to have you on their design team. Great camera work too. The angles are amazing!
I’m not really into RC flying or models but my god man that thing is gorgeous and incredibly impressive build quality. You are one of a kind sir. Must feel good to know you are top of your craft.
You guys blew this one out of the park. My nephew flies the real thing and I gotta say this is the coolest RC plane I've ever seen. And I've been in this hobby many, many, years. Great job guys. Living the dream. I'd love to be able to visit your shop and your flying field. Absolutely beautiful.
Airliner Pilot: ATC, do you have a military plane flying in this area? Seems like he's below legal flight minimums. ATC: Not showing anything on my radar, can you describe it? Pilot: Looks like a C-17 Globemaster. Are you sure? ATC: Still showing nothing. Maybe the Americans have a new stealth version?
Coming from a former C-17 mechanic, this is just a beautiful piece of work. I would love to get a look at it (if it all possible) someday. It's been fun checking out your previous videos and your work is amazing. The 787 crash broke my heart as I imagine it did for you as well.
Flag is not backwards. Google Images of Globemaster. The Star being upside down is a minor mistake. Rammy isn’t American and Tyler Perry isn’t military, plus he got other things to worry about. You people can only dream about building a paper plane much much less this masterpiece.
Wow - that Globemaster is huge. The landing gear is a work of art, so life-like. She is an amazing airplane. Nailed the second landing, so cool. I think she could benefit from a yaw dampener, there seems to be a fair amount of tail wagging. Congratulations and thanks for sharing the fun.
@@BillDownhill not just that. When he converted the 747 to electric he explained that combustion engines require a lot of maintenance, and he doesn't have that much time for the hobby, so he prefers something more practical.
@@worroSfOretsevraH brushless/lipo combo has made piston engines completely obsolete. they are outclassed on every front. Same with RC cars: Nitro cars look slow now.
Awesome model, what a beast. Although, I'm slightly bothered by the Air Force star decal on both sides of the fuselage being upside down. Whatever, just fly inverted. 🤣
@ramyRC, yet another great build. This is the biggest RC C-17 model. It's amazing. I really don't think people realize how good of a pilot Tyler is. Bigger planes fly better, but landing something that large, with that much speed and not slamming it down takes some skills. You two make a great team. Kind of like the Top Gun division with builder and pilot. Only difference is, you are a pretty good pilot yourself.
I must say you have the most realistic looking c-17 model I have ever seen. It is absolutely beautiful. I'm going to enjoy watching your channel now that I have found your videos. I can say you have the most fantastic hanger for your models. Wow !!!!❤❤😊
I live in the flight path for Andrews Air Force base and see and hear C17s take off and land . This looks and sounds just like the real thing. Love what you have built.
Worked C-17 G2 mod for 7.5 years. The work on the landing gears is quite impressive. The fit on the doors amazing. I love watching the gear retraction. Just amazing craftsmanship! Keep up the great work.
Looks good with lights and flaps during landing approach. Well done Ramy and Tyler. How much did finishing and paint add weight? Still 1 kg left for scale details if flown in germany. 😅
I remember flying back from Atlanta and the planes flaps failed to deploy on landing. We flew around for about 30 minutes or until all our fuel was nearly gone. The runway was lined up with emergency vehicles and we used the entire runway and probably the brakes to come to a stop. Fun times.
Spoilers on top of the wings might provide some downforce, deployed at touchdown, and put more weight on wheels to improve braking, less skidding. Doesn’t the real C-17 have spoilers? Clamshell reversers like on the C-141 or B737-200 might not be too hard to design and build? But possibly the simplest and most effective would be to reverse the motors. Just be sure not to reverse them in flight! Nailing the best approach speed would help, I think like you did on that last landing. If you could rig up some sort of angle-of-attack sensor that could trigger an approach light (AOA indexer light) on the nose gear. Red: you’re too fast. Green: you’re too slow. Yellow: you’re right on. I believe that’s the Navy standard. You could set the colors anyway you wanted, though. That is one of the most awesome RC aircraft I’ve ever seen!
@@i.r.wayright1457 I imagined it would be done like the real thing, ie disrupting the flow of air through the chamber and pushing it forwards? So the fans themselves would still be running normally, but the air flow would be deflected forwards.
First of all congrats @RAMYRC , secondly the flaps made a huge difference in taking off and landing. Keep up the great work @RAMYRC and stay safe people, peace. 👍👍👍👍👍
Yea, It was like that in the last video. Some have commented on it, and I guess he isn't reading the comments. Maybe when he is inverted, it is why lol
@j.o.p.enforcementagency7931 ok, and that means what ? And yes, I know what copyright means, but what you are saying doesn't make sense. I'm sure that they don't want the stars and bars to be displayed wrong just so you know maybe the American flag is as well bit hanging the flag upside down means what? 😊
@j.o.p.enforcementagency7931 that's bs. All my rc models have it the correct way. If you're building a scale model you have to put the insignias on correct
Really Impressive and I really enjoyed the video. I was a member of the YC-17 flight test team including first flight out of Long Beach California and for several years at Edwards AFB. Having been one of the first civilians to fly on the C-17, I really love the work you have done on this RC Model. The articulation of the landing gear was cool as was the smoking brakes. The landing with the proper flap setting looked so real. Great Job!!
she really floats with the flap out all the way. crazy thinking 300+ Lbs of plane is just floating that slow. Really great job on the build and great flying by Tyler. Love the content.
Both yourself and Tyler should be extremely pleased with what you have created. I am super happy and excited for the both of you. A huge well done, that Globemaster is just perfect.
Absolutely fantastic! Loved it. I'm glad you had good brakes for the landings where the flaps weren't working and the approach speed was correspondingly higher!
Ramy, great work as always. Since you are going to Germany with the plane, I have the following recommendations: the Air Force insignias on the fuselage are upside down, the star point should face up. And USAF tail code are 2 letters only. I hope you and Tyler win best in show.
Amazing build to have followed again Ramy! I often replay the flights at 0.5x speed for realistic scale speed take offs and landings but once the flaps were working, it looks realistic landing at full playback speed! Bravo!
I've been anxiously awaiting this video all week! Such amazing craftsmanship as always Ramy, you are incredible. Look forward to see Cleetus' reaction to your work too 🙌
Wow, amazing! I just LOVE that a BILLIONAIRE has this as a hobby and he is going all out by hiring such a talented person (you) to build these insane models AND that you can get to share it with all of us. What a time to be alive.
Beautifully detailed now that you have completed the installation of the custom landing gear and have painted and applied the graphics and all of the lighting as well! Happy Flying! Thanks for sharing! Please have an excellent and awesome day! ☀️✨✈️
WELL BLOODY DONE Ramy, You and your helpers have created a ONE off master piece. Hats off the the lot of you. Bloody great work. I betcha you'd be the bloke that has a smile from ear to ear. Great stuff.

thanks for sharing your hobby, amazing planes, and that property is beautiful
If you are going to do something do it right, you guys nailed it with this one, so impressive, Tyler thanks for making something like this possible, what a fabulous setup you have created!👏👏👏
