Not sure what anyone is talking about but it seems most wannabe car guys don't even know what a "ricer" even is. Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement Is RICE, a RICER is someone who is involved in doing these enhancements for nothing more than mere looks with no true benefits to the car its self. ANY car regardless of origin can be a RICER. I've seen plenty of "muscle cars" with hood scoops with no air flow (internally sealed), this goes for newer cars like the challenger as well. Subaru impreza WRX's are really the only car with a useful hood scoop (for its intercooler) that isn't just for show these days. Many cars get body kits or giant spoilers too. So memorize the true meaning and stop calling things RICER without knowing anything.
In most all racing games I play, when available the WRX is always a must have and generally has more gametime than any other car. It by far gives you the best bang for the buck of any other production car in reality and in game.
I can't wait to get an STI. For lazy days when I don't feel like riding my GSXR. Mos def getting the hatchback. Perfect for snowboarding trips and surfing days.
Just bought a Subaru BRZ! It is the sickest car i have ever driven and i have driven some sick cars! BRZ's handling is pin point and the sound!!! OMFG! The sound! You really have to be there to understand. Oh and don't even get me started on Acceleration!
for the average person you cant just get a wrx to 350-400 and an sti to 500 as easily as he is saying. and its not cheap at all. and the ej motor can not handle 400 and 500 hp without building the engine with forged internals.
+JDM-House 400 hp is not 300 crank hp. That's a 25% drop. Awd hp drop is 15-18%. Even if he's talking about crank hp. 4 and 500 is a lot for stock internals.
+Not A Lizard Your're stupid, The comment i replied to was "Complete bullshit. People have daily driver 900+ BHP STis" and the user posted this in 2015. Six years from the videos original upload date, His comment is referring to 2015 cars and bhp recordings.
Really nice video. Makes me want to buy an STi now. But ugh, two things. 1.) I hate hatches. Bring back the old STi. 2.) I do believe the best way of modding a car is to just buy a V6 and turbocharge it. Much more potential that way. Nonetheless, that is a badass STi. Good work.
Well there goes the image of Subaru drivers. Not all of us are like that. I love my Subaru, but I also love the other brands of cars I have owned in the past. I am a fan-boy of powerful cars, not just one specific car.
You must be the guy that goes into every coffee shop that says "Worlds Best Coffee" on the door and makes a scene about how they need to prove it. *golf clap*
@CandWentertainment clutches are ok if you use them properly if you keep burnouting and trying to go up a hill from a standing start, without using "lowering gear" you will prolly wear them out even faster. My friend also has WRX 2009 manual euro model.
The naturally aspirated Regal that ran an 8.93, was a stage 2 v6 and it did it in 1986. Buick really had something special with their 3.8L and 4.1L production blocks and the stage 1 and stage 2. Just think if Buick Motor Sports had kept on developing their v6. Even in the early 80's this v6 was kicking the shit out of v8 and setting all kinds of records in the Grand National Racing series. Hence, where the Buick Grand National got its name. Engines are getting smaller and more powerful.
everyone who talks about audis needs to realize that we like subarus because 1: amazing gas mileage 2: cheap AND easy to repair- i think the discussion is over
Awd is better off the start compared to Rwd, but you need a lot of power to keep that top speed going because of the friction on each tire compared to Rwd, Where its just the back two.
i can see how some people would do that for consistantly good grades in school and other things of that nature. What im trying to say is they need to earn it or learn that if you want something you gotta work for it. Its about responsibility.
@ovariesniper Thats why you dont push a daily driver too hard. 600hp is about the breaking point for that situation...With ANY motor. Keep in mind that you only need about 350-500AWHP to outrun just about ANY ricer or V-8 you see on the streets. To get that extra 200hp from a stock motor isnt that expensive. And if you do the mods correctly...The WRX' motor can handle 500HP with almost as much reliability a stock motor.
This esx is an incredible car. Comparef to the Porsche 911 turbo this car has it all and more for about one third the price of the porsche turbo. And it won't fall apart like the Porsche.
TRP ( Tony Rigoli Performance ) have " The world's quickest WRX and Subaru, 7.7 second WRX" to date. They also have built the motor in the DIABLO widebody WRX which runs around sydney, about 755 Hp at the wheels, full street trim, daily driven car.
Well apparently assistant managers get paid quite a bit or he just doesn't have any other bills, a 60 month term on a 2012 will run around $500 a month, that's with a hefty down payment, low APR, and a half decent trade in. Then you have full coverage insurance, most people just don't have money like that to play with.
Sadly, I am Germany and you are right, BMW's have so many electrical and other common AND uncommon problems. Sure you can buy an M3 or M5, but maintenance alone is going to hurt your pockets (if you are like 99% of the population as I am) and when you do have a major problem with that BMW, it is going to hurt your pockets and your bank account. All cars have problems, but when it is an expensive BMW the repair bill is expensive. All cars have ups and downs, respect cars as an enthusiast.
Wow, I think I'll start saving up for the ESX model now since I want more power than a stock STI unless Subaru pulls through with a faster model in 2015. I would like a paint job without the stripe though.
2:54 "we upgrade the paint" that's some serious tuning, gotta be like, at least 100 extra hp! lol in all seriousness though, sti's are badass, can't say i'm a big fan of the color combo on the cars tho.
looking to get an 06 sti planning on making it a 550hp street car out of it what mods would i need and how does the stock motor and trans hold up? ive done work on many 10 sec dsm's and evos just looking to expand my horizons any advice would be appreciated!
