I was thinking big cam Cummins too, till the end of the video when he did a couple snap revs...you cant mistake the sound of a Detroit when she revs like that.
There are no hybrid semis here in Europe, only a few trucks for research.... We still run on Diesel here. I don't know in which fairy tale book your got that Information....

Lopey cam goodness. Sounds magnificent. I haven't seen a Euro/American frankentruck build yet. It would be cool to hear a Euro cabover with a Cummins inline, or an old school Autocar with a Scania V8.
@@V8Lennythey run like this do to idle fuel up rate you can clean it up through ecm. Guys that race use it to helps to spool turbos at the staging area. This one has series 60 ecm is a breeze to work on tons of options and easy to make power

Good video as always I am planning on going but I’m a photographer and have a Facebook page I was curious I see some photographers stand behind the red and white barriers when the trucks race and that’s where I would like stand and take the shots like you guys do but I see most of the crowed is behind the gate and I would like to get those closer shots. I am kinda picky about that kinda stuff lol
Yes. Lots. Every component would be modified but typically the choppy idle comes from big cams, but this one also has a monstrous turbo, and I’d assume a modified fuel pump and injectors, as well as head/valve work. Its a fucking expensive motor.
It's very possible to tune these to only smoke a bit under hard acceleration. Sounds like a 60 series to me and they had variable vane turbos. If this is used on a track or for pulling competition it will be set to run rich as the extra fuel helps keep engine temps down
