Worlds of Wonder promotional video 

Baby Teddy was actually released in 1986/87, but the overall appearance of the toy is drastically different from this video. The released Baby Teddy has either a tan or blue shirt with a white diaper, and his face isn't quite as big. Baby Grubby, however, was not released, but I know they were originally going to: there's a picture of him on the back of the Baby Teddy Ruxpin box, and a bit of info on him is included in Baby Teddy's care and instruction booklet.

For those whom don't read YT descriptions, the song in the Little Boppers portion is "Rockin' And Rollin'" by Ron Aspery. Great music choice, might I add

This was kind of cool. I had a Teddy, one of the 1st ones. Got him when I was 5, Christmas of '88. Lucky for me, my mom was working at Toys R Us at the time.

Ryan actually did a couple of recordings of Goofy in the 80s, but he mostly voiced Tigger and Eeyore on the show Pooh Corner, once again opposite Phil Baron, who voiced Rabbit and Piglet. He also voiced Rabbit on the WTP short A Day for Eeyore =)

@silverthehedgielover I'm pretty sure for this video they had Mickey and Goofy on stands. Notice how their legs are unnaturally close together... I have no idea why Baby Grubby never made it to market, but his picture is even on the back of the Baby Teddy box! He would have been VERY cute. The real Hector's beak is drastically different from the proto version, also, proto Hector's head looks to the right, whereas the real Hector's looks to the left.

The prototype version of the Kermit and Piggy Little Boppers look a bit more like adults than babies, especially Kermit.

very sweet and very 1980 cute products. I wish I could visit the 1980s and experience the best era ever all over again. Too bad there's not a time travel that could take you back to a decade to take a vacation from this modern day society.

Who do you think does the best voice for Tweeg? John Koensgen or Will Ryan? To me, they both sound the same, so it’s basically impossible to compare the two of them.

I had a talking Big Bird (made by Ideal) when I was little that started doing that, too. It was kinda funny to watch xD. What causes that is over time the rubber roller in the tape deck part gets coated with film from the cassette tape and becomes sticky, so when the cassette starts going, the tape sticks to the roller and gets pulled inside the toy... Fortunately it's easily fixed by cleaning it with a bit of rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. =)

Haha, unfortunately she won't move if you put a normal cassette in her, but the sound will still play, which does make for some amusing moments =)

And what happened to Baby Grubby & Little Boppers Grubby? I LOVE him and I also saw Baby Grubby on the back of the Baby Teddy Ruxpin box in Terapeak.

alright the mickey and goofy prototypes. are they really the prototypes or are they puppets? they move much better then the actual versions, at least from what i've seen. also, is that dog little bopper suppose to be goofy? that doesn't look like goofy at ALL

after worlds of wonder went extinct in 1990, the toys were not released due to junk bonds, according to wikipedia, causing mattel, random house and hasbro to retain the rights to mickey mouse.

Why hello there! About the cords, Mother Goose -should- work with a Teddy/Grubby cable. I've never tried it but they look exactly the same to me, except Mother Goose's is a little bit shorter, and black (at least the one I have is). If you wanna try her and Hector with that cord, just make sure you keep a hand on the volume switch to turn her off real quick. And yes, I actually have a Grubby that you have to jiggle the cord around alot to get the sound to work on him, otherwise it's static.

I have the Teddy and Grubby that was given to me by the head of "R & D" at Worlds Of Wonder. Mr. Clay Pimentell. He got me an entire "Lazer Tag" set, Mother Goose, Snoopy and Mickey Mouse. He even got a working and well made prototype of Baby Teddy to my Mum. When Mum passed away in 1993, I brought Baby Teddy home with me. But he NEVER told Mum and I about Baby Grubby and I did not know about him until I watched this video. I would love to find a good, working Baby Grubby.

My mother goose started making weird noises when I was five and she went total haywire, eating the tape and then looking like a real goose that someone ticked off

i really wish they made baby grubby i would pay so much i bet by now its destroyed though in business you cant keep stuff lying around if you do not need it you have to throw it out it business buildings they threw out a USB keyboard at my dads job cause they didn't need it the keyboard was only worth like 10$ though its not dirty same thing with charlie brow i know some might be upset about this but that is how the world works

i havent seen these videos before in the uk ,i have teddy and grubby mother goose and hector, snoopy and woodstock , and even mickey and goofy , the little boppers are fab i did have a vampire not shown on the promo video he came in a box with what looked like a juke box surround on it ,i wish i still had him ,does the mother goose work with any of the other animation cords at all,do grubbys suffer from cable connection problems . thank you worlds of wonder where ever u are

@TheActionGameMaster Nope, I don't. The fobs are hand puppets, as are all the plush figures in the windows at the start of the video. I actually have the orange fob puppet- he's pretty cute. All of the puppets shown were released around '87.

I bought mine on Ebay, so try there first. I don't think people would sell them elsewhere (flea market, thrift store, garage sale, etc.) because they're pretty hard to find.

was mother goose s voice based on julie andrews she has a very similar sound,a lot of wow stock was made up of non animated toys ie mickey and goofy that came in bags with the outfits i got one from a thrift store i only wanted the band leader outfit from mickey,but the mickey had exactly the same size height but without voice box and animated eyes and mouth ect

PS. the Little Bopper Teddy was designed horribly. If you have ever looked inside one every part is relying on a plastic gear over a splined metal rod. If anything stops the toy from moving i.e. holding it the inside of the plastic gear strips out and it's game over.

The way you can get baby grubby is useing cosmetics from baby teddy and then you put hole bunch a fabric like regular grubby and then you gotta baby grubby

@blueoctopede Do you or did you have the Baby Teddy Ruxpin? I've seen other videos of it on RU-vid and to be hoonest he doesn't really tickle my fancy very much, unlike the original Teddy Ruxpin. What size batteries does Baby Teddy use if you know.

baby grubby wasn't made because grubby was too cute. either that or people thought grubby was going to accidentally kill someone.... it makes sense because one time I made a bracelet for grubby and the next day it was broken, on the floor, no joke IN HIS FREAKING MOUTH. it was everywhere, But teddy still had his bracelet on and it wasn't broken... it scares me to think of what has gotten into that doll. That was a while back though, but I swear when I bring Teddy and Grubby out of my closet to take a break from being crammed in there for so long I SWEAR TO GOD I SEE THEIR EYES AND THEIR MOUTHS MOVE, WITHOUT BATTERIES IN THEM OR A CASSETTE. AND ONE TIME MY CLOSET DOOR OPENED RANDOMLY AND IT WAS SHUT. I WAS MAKING A VIDEO AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE DOOR RANDOMLY OPENED WHEN I WAS TALKING ABOUT FNAF OR THE FURRY FANDOM. If you put the tape in and she kinda turns her head back and forth (like in this video) while she's talking, then it's a head turner for sure. Actually, I have a head-turner that doesn't work, but if I get her head and gently twist it to her left shoulder it will move loosely back and forth. If you can turn her head to her left and back to looking straight forward but not left, then she's a head-turner that just doesn't work.
