These recent boat videos are so important man! Really shows how much fun you can have behind the boat without needing to huck yourself over huge wakes. Love all the playful buttery tricks
It’s awesome to see some old school stuff. I love how you show that you don’t need a $150,000 wakeboard boat to shed and have fun. Great stuff. Thanks for posting.
I love watching these kinds of videos! I wakeboard behind my in-laws boat... it is a 70's something with a Mercury V8.... not much wake but a ton of fun! Looking forward to them mid-west videos! Keep on rockin brother! Oh yeah... SUBSCRIBED to John!
Totally agree with what you said at the end. Just went out wakeboarding with my uncle and brother for the first time a couple weeks ago and had an absolute blast, even behind an 80's Lund with no tower hahaha! Love the videos
Last year we bought a 86 ski nautique. We bought it because we have never owned a boat, but loved the idea of it. Wanted to get out on the water and learn before bucking out 200k on a boat. So glad we did! The nautique actually puts out a pretty nice wake! Going to use it this summer get some more hours under the belt and start looking for a wake boat next year. Just writing this to second what he said at the end. Just get going, get on the water! You don’t need massive debt or 100-200k cash to start having fun.
Very cool! Started on a skurf board in 1990.. we used to huck back rolls, roll to reverts and all kinds of crap behind little wakes like that .. so much fun
Thanks for making this one! Will probably never have the money for a real wake boat. This is a great reminder that I can still have fun with what I got!
Loved it mate, 👍🏻 ripping the old school I remember that exact boat, I think I skied it when I was a young boy. I am one of your oldest viewers lol 😜 I saw a sneak peak 2021 with 🦮😁👍🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻✌🏻
Love the vid so funny! I some times I wake board behind a jet ski but some times behind my g pas big rinker also plz give air bud a treat for me! Also I just learned how to hit the wake and do a 360 behind a jet ski
Yes! Thats great man. That same Ski Brendella was my folks first ski boat but we had a 1993. You can make a decent wave as I recall by putting a 50 gallon drum in the stern and filling it up. Learned a ton of inverts behind that boat.
THANKS SO MUCH FOR WATCHING!! I WOULD BE SO HYPED IF YOU COULD TAKE THE TIME TO SUBSCRIBE AND STAY TUNED FOR FUTURE WAKEBOARD ADVENTURES! NEW VIDEOS EVERY 2ND DAY FOREVER!
I just bought an 07 crownline br180... this video made me just buy a wakeboard and a rope ... the tower can wait ! This looks like fun! Thanks for uploading this and i dig how your not wearing a life jacket . Been a river rat here in Laughlin NV and people freak out and drown when they don’t know what there doing . 🤘🏾 shredddd
JB...any prior videos or future videos on board length and fin placements? Would like to hear more about affordable board types behind small wake boats. Keep up the great work!
Damn this just made me realize it's me I suck it's not that my boat doesn't put out a big enough wake to go wake to wake. Lol. Hey I'm in the old school class as well running a 1996 mastercraft maristar. We still have though, Great video as always! 🤟
I wakeboard behind a 1990 Mastercraft Prostar 190. Bought for 3k put about 2k more into it. Added a tower and it’s been a rockstar vehicle. We’ve used it every week during the summer for the past 5 years.
As someone who is just now learning to clear the wake I prefer to ride behind skiboats like this as the wake is less scary to clear and build confidence
I would also say the best budget wakeboard boat is a late 80's Nautique 2001 with a 500lb sac on either side of the engine box and a 150lb in the bow. It will make a wake big enough to go as big as you need. Just don't let a novice driver behind the wheel. They sit pretty low in the water and are easy to swamp.
That’s awesome, I can’t seem to get frontside 180’s. I’m starting with that so I don’t have to switch hands with the rope yet and I can’t seem to get all the way around. I can do it on a skateboard but I keep going just a little bit over 90 degrees
So badass, encouraging to see what’s possible with almost an identical setup to my own. Would you say learning solely on a boat like this like I have might make you develop any funky habits or in the long run would it make you better because you can’t just rely on huge wakes to get you in the air?
Nice video. I’m rocking a 88 ski supreme, tower, a hyperlite from 2000 ish with Wiley bindings. Do you think sacks with the old board or no sacks with a new board would be wiser? Thanks bro ✌️
My family has had a lake house in Twin Lakes, WI since 1942. That’s crazy he found that ski there. They have a national champion ski team there in twin lakes I wonder if that’s where he got it from. If you’re ever in Wisconsin and he wants to come visit let me know
