Massive respect to the Haitians for earning massive respect in Sfl. That was a huge change from early nineties when they used to get bullied terribly. Next up Trapland Pat from Pompano
SMH stay in school get your education and learn a trade or something my brothers. You dont have to live like this. People in other countries will kill for the opportunities you guys have.
I'm Hispanic. Grew up in little Havana. Went to school in little Havana and in overtown. Hispanic people chill out. We all know and so do people in other parts of the country that Miami is know for its hispanic culture. But this video is what Miami has always been. Think about all the time before Latinos from Latin america started immigrating from our country's. Its the south for gods sake. Black people have been living in Miami long before the first chicos came through. Shout out to everyone that loves Miami. This was a great video. Oh and stop comparing cities in the u.s. as to which one is more violent and fucked up. Have you ever been to Nicaragua? Or Haiti? Or Honduras? Or Guatemala city which is The murder capital of the world? Mexico? Venezuela? Ever heard of las maras? In el Salvador. I know we have some rough spots here. But shit, you gotta some of the places we come from. Shout out to allll the people of Miami.
God bless Miami Dade. I love my county, I love my city and everything around me. It truly sucks that there is so much conflict and violence. I only wish positivity for all my Dade county partners. Cause that's all there is, love and positivity, if you feel negative, get that man made feeling out of you, God ain't made no negative emotions. Low frequency electromagnetic waves are man made.
see the difference between chi n mia hoods. Chicago is more into gang banging killing over petty stuff. Miami. Money Is A Major Issue. Miami hoods it's usually over big money or drugs. that's y it's a lot more money in miami
tell you what tho. Ive noticed in hispanic communities alot of Chi cliqs. Latin Kings, Ylos, Maniac Disciples, Satan Disciples, Spanish Gangsta Disciples, and those are the crews i know of thats here. These niggas bring Chicago Ideology out here
+117677993763407169824 I was raised in Liberty City(Brownsville) and I graduated from Hialeah Miami lakes. I went to Northwestern for 1 year but I left due to so many fights and after school shootings. Miami is nothing like it was in the 90s. The good outweighs the bad though.
Jerome B MY LIFE STORY, i love this video.. left Jamaica at 7yrs old, raised in Miami, never went back to Jamaica for 20yrs, i use to cut hair at 183rd st flea market before THEY changed the name, what you know bout Joe ROBBIE stadium, Pak Jam, went to North Miami elementary, junior, senior , graduated and went to FLORIDA MEMORIAL, my grand daddy was head of security there, my grand mama R.I.H was head of the mail room, My aunty was head of the financial department , and my uncle had a cleaning company contracted to clean the college, when it was called college , now its called a University... remember when Prince had a club on South Beach called GLAM SLAM and we use to go there to sell herbs, walk the strip and get fcked up then fall off in the club at 15-16 cause we was connected.. #memories.. splack pack, and my grand parents still live in CAROL CITY right around the corner from the FLEA to this day 2015... #memories, #souflotv
+106064543144074336383Bro you just brought back so many memories. The splaque PAC... Man those were the days. Do you remember the Jamaican Brotha who use to sell food in the flea parking lot behind the store? Oh yeah and PAC jam was da shit man, . I think Luke Skywalker owned the club at that time. It use to be thick out there. I do remember when Prince had a club on South Beach. Everybody was getting fucked up on dirty in that club. Remember that like it was yesterday.
Notice that most of the dudes they're showing are rappers, real Miami street niggas ain't on all that camera shit.. You can't get the real Miami experience through a video, but it was straight.
this whole documentary ain't bout the real miami shit basically bout these young niggas who rap thats tryin to get on if you look at the whole video you'll see most of these niggas try to rap and get noticed this shit ain't on no real life street shit because if it was the nigga who shot the film woulda been scared to fuck wit them boys
Florida ain't a easy spot to live shyt will drive yuh crazy nd yuh start doing things to make sure yuh don't starve neither ur family ,but at the same time yuh trying make it out from a place where ppl will do anything to get couple racks
It's bigger than That.. Like Pac said we gotta change the way we live, we gotta change the way we see things, we gotta change the way we eat... We need change and maybe if we do that things may change a lil.
im haitian from the bahamas. first lived in little haiti and then north miami. headed down there tomorow for christmas and i served in marine. got an MBA, bought a house, etc. comes a point where you decide how your life turns out. but i understand the mentality of street life that alluring that keep young boyz trapped in da game
@black pope As late as I am to this video and it's comment section, one thing that will remain is the fact that you're absolutely right. In the end, one MUST decide which route they're going to take and mustn't try riding the fence, as that doesn't normally end too well, i.e. Andrew Gillum. Lol 🤣
Naw, there's a certain point where we have to stop placing blame on everyone else and start holding ourselves accountable. I get the struggle. . . HELL I came from struggle, but you have to understand your position and begin to pull yourself out of it. It's a life long process, but isn't everything else?🤔
This was a very interesting video of Miami for real. Im from brooklyn and in nj and I now got a real feel of how Miami is. We all go through life struggles. But you never know what others are going through and this was real deep. All I know is there is great talent in Miami. Keep trying to put yourself out there to be heard...music your fam..everybody
Much respect n love to u my brotha this was real what u said I notice in this era when someone is real they tell the truth about Miami n you are a real one
I was raise in miami, I never thought I would of make it past 25 now I'm 40. A lot of people don't understand the hardest thing is getting out the hood without any financial, of course we all want to live a better life who doesn't. All I can say to the youth, keep fighting your way out I made it out so can you I want to give you Hope now I own four businesses without no college education leaving well without worrying about cops come busting on my door.

shit ain't gon never happen niggas from different cities hate on each other instead of all them coming together florida can produce more artist then atlanta but it's to much hate in florida if you not from the same cities it's all about being the next hottest thing out of florida instead of coming together to make shit happen
Mr2livecrew19 It's Not Hate. Florida Artist Just To Much Of An Ego. They Feel Like Sense Nobody Is Helping Them Why Should They Give An Hand Out. They On Some "Street Shit" Or I'm A "Real Nigga". But They Fail To Realize If They Just Team Up And Make Quality Music Florida Would Be On Top. Cause That Atlanta Shit Is Not Rap. Pitbull And Flo Rida Basically Change Their Genre To Be At The Spot They At. And Rick Ross Is Just A Faker And Lies About Everything I Don't Know How People Believe Anything He Say.
chriscave305 Apparently that Atlanta shit IS. Whether you like it or not. We know how to collaborate and actually put niggas on. Everybody eating some type of way. Rick ross got the power to put any of them Florida niggas on, and what he do? Make MMG and the only nigga I see him put on is Gunplay. Thats what im talking about right there. You'll always see an ATLien collaborate with another ATLien. Shit even make a whole mixtape together. Cause those niggas get how the game works. TOGETHER! -key word
@Da Carol city pope idk wat he was tryna say but Florida, we are unique compared to otha southern states.. I'm from Tampa and our artist, Orlando artist and Miami artist got unique rap style that other states cant really imitate
@Mr Md5# more and more cities is sounding like Atlanta, just look at Detroit with 42 Dugg... u cant go outside of FL and find another Plies, kodak, trick daddy.. but I can find. Another jay z type flow outside N.Y. or another Game outside cali etc.. understand b4 u comment bro
From Dallas all down south don't sound the same everyone going to. Show love to they city or state they got real an fake everywhere everyone got they own sauce but u got copycats also
I wish that would happen but this is Miami I'm from lil Haiti and now live on myrtle beach sc but shit its nothing but a baby Miami same shit different city
They won't, neither will anybody, it doesn't matter if you're black, white, asian, rich or poor. Everyone tends to only think of their own best outcome and fuck the rest. Shit doesn't even occur that we are all in this together as the HUMAN RACE! Until then we will always be at war with not only ourselves but each other.
you can tell who has hatian/caribbean parents and who original southern black folks by the accents. the haitian kids have a slight southern accent but you still hear the caribbean influence.
"I'm born & raised in the Mia. & I always be the one to SHOUT-OUT ALLAPATTAH anytime any documentary, artist, interview, or DJ fails to mention it because ALLAPATTAH is the Heart of magic city! Everybody always forgets to mention ALLAPATTAH! How you mention Overtown, & Hialeah & Brown Sub but forget to say ALLAPATTAH when we are exactly in the middle of all them sections of miami? AP Show Love!"
I'm from Chicago and man! I appreciate this here. Black People are Beautiful. We are intelligent people. And my man is from Carol City and let me be the first to say, there's NOTHING that can compare to a Florida Nigga.
@@MsWittyReadz u mean a Miami nigga he ain't cheat a man can have mo then one wife our women was dumb down to think men cheat they made us believe that to control our birth rate take that boy back if he did good to you
I'm Nawd and I'm from Dade County. I was born and raised in Miami, South Dade Goulds to be exact. Some of the best memories of my life down south. There's nothing like the crib. I reside in Atlanta now but Miami will forever have my love and respect. Shoutout to Bottom.

Im all about work ethic. Pride can get in the way tho. And these days that job full time wont support anyone anymore. Keeping options open is ok. Depends how broke u are tho.
Ice Berg didn’t lie when he said every 10 years someone from Miami makes it big in the mainstream music 1987: Uncle Luke 1997: Trick Daddy 2007: Rick Ross 2017: City Girls
@@jeffdakid5845 Samething! Jk😄 Though I doubt it'd be another 10 yrs...which btw, pretty sure artist like Pitbull, Trina, and Flo-rida break up that supposed spread.
@@Thkmra lol you good and idk judging by how the stats looking it could be another 10 before someone from Miami does blow up but then again with the age of social media who knows 🤷🏿♂️ And as far as the other artists goes Pitbull mainly does reggaeton/pop music now, Trina came around the time Trick came, and tbh nobody really is listening to Flo-Rida like that lol and I barely considered him a hip hop artist he more in the pop category like Pit
Seen a lot of documentaries about poor America, but this is insane. This looks like Haiti or something. This is liberalism for you, though. Social responsibility is unfortunately not a default setting. People need to realize that helping these people is helping themselves. When you need to move and that big couch needs to be stuffed into the moving van, you're glad that you have a good relationship with your neighbor. Poverty is a national problem, not regional.
Sad to say but it is, there are no. positive things to do in the inner city of states, they follow wat they see, dont yu think its kinda hard to study when u hearing gunshots all the time, ya homie just got jumped, somebody got clapped up the block,
Craig Jones yo this world is fukked up and you wonder why it is like it is, same thing in the DR, Haiti is like a toilet and DR is like Napa valley on the same island. I just think a lot of greed is in play when it comes to the state of affairs in this country. It is sad because it’s more than killing and drug dealing going on it’s families, children and grans people just trying to survive. I feel like Lenox when he took Dmx to Jamaica
anyone can make a change but economic disadvantages make the spiral happen. Who's willing to quit their job and become a father or mother figure to all the lost souls?
Born and raised in Miami. Yes they think Miami is South Beach. Over that bridge is a different story. Dade County people are on a duffrent level our city is diverse from cubans, hatians, Jamaicans and the list goes on. We hustle no how to make a dollar from selling water or socks to mangos on the street conners. My city was built off drug money. Miami is the Magic city not Atlanta. That name was given to Miami from the big tyme dope pushers from Cuba and Columbia. A&E frist 48 us real no joke ni bullshit. Little Hattie from Zoe Pound. From Libert City John Doe and Carol City Boobie boyz. The noutrouis Opa Locka the triangle 7 cents hole. With Tony . Overtown the towers. And that's just the North area of Miami. Down South from Coconut Grove to Florida city still ni joke. So next time you and yall friends hollering let's go to Miami for spring break nah you meant South beach cause 90 precent of the people I meet in South beach from other cities scared to cross that bridge and guess what? Y'all should be!!!!
Growing up in poverty is a curse, but it can be broken. But please stop acting like your a real huslter bringing up the community. Your destroying it by selling drugs and contributing to the shock waves of violence death, poverty, and fatherless and motherless children. And your rap is not bringing you or the people up, its not keeping it "real", your lyrics are a refletion of what what I wrote above. Please stop acting like hypocrits.
Thanks for sharing this. Reminds me of people who visit New Orleans they think New Orleans begins in the French Quarter and ends in the French Quarter! There is so much more to a city and it's people.
World Star your onto a good thing here. Loads of stories that would NEVER be covered by CNN or the BBC. Also, you should do a sound cloud mix or something of all the artists feature on here. I would love to hear all these tracks in a mix, cause its really good music. Blessings on the effort for this documentary!
***** its blacks that came up and people they knew or thats in where they from that's telling what it's like, im sure if a Cuban rapper came up from Miami he'll tell his story and his people will tell it with him
It took alot for me to watch for a number of reason primarily because I'm a teacher and I get very disheartened to see my people living in poverty in which society has them feeling like they are trapped. The ending took me out 😭😭😭 the gentlemen in the army fatigue hat was speaking the absolute truth and the elderly men as well. I hate that our ancestors were brought here its been nothing but CHAOS AND HAVOC every since..😭😭😭 I wish life and the world 🌎 was different however its getting worse those young men alot of them will not make it to see their 40th birthday 💔 or earlier and its not all their fault... I'm going to keep praying for this world even if some people have given up but GOD...🙏 Thanks WSHH great documentary.
@@neosoul7422 The 16 years I have been teaching I do try and push them into a positive direction. I grew up in the same places as these kids did so I get it.
South Florida is such a beautiful place with so many talented and beautiful souls, so many black people done wrong by injustice and then held down further by our own because it’s all we know. we all deserve to get out and i pray that we do 💜
Why is it that when the attention is focus on blacks. Non blacks like to be like "what about us?" If it ain't about y'all y'all try to make it about y'all. Not everything is about y'all. Black people are lit asf so stop being so selfish
Bruno mali is cold as fuck. nightmare on my block strapped up 2 stepping with the devil dancing sunday morning my penny loafers take it easy like old people his flow is nice
There's a spiritual war and a mental war and emotional war already who needs a physical warfare concentrate on malevolent and instead of cursing you're own kind. if I can't trust you why should I have to deal with you if I steal from you how would you feel if I hate on you how would you feel if I did voodoo on you how would you feel all because I'm successful and you don't like that. like nobody ever put nothing of us on the map. we all have a mind and a way of getting by you choose to do what you do unless you really have to you don't have to stay in the hood if you don't want to if you can feed your self with out help then you can save yourself. what do I owe you ? under what circumstance are you under without violence. ohh yeah can't nobody tell you nothing. we gonna act like we ain't thieves and hoodlums and swagga jackers you look up to some one else instead of looking up to your self why should I follow after you and you're not me we all have our own talents we or you should take the time to find out what that is. all we know is selling drugs to go back to jail and shaking ass to get to the next richest person or popular person aka dope boi and our peers gonna follow after us. to keep them from exposing they true talent from showing if not we gonna make them yeah our kids are ducks like us. make something happen for your kind invent something. with all the money that you claim you have. instead of killing and hating on each other yeah I'm gonna keep us in the projects for no reason. can't nobody take you from your self at the end you're by yourself no matter what anybody say. people are still getting killed where you're at like the murder capital you don't ever hear Hispanic or white people killing each other it's always blacks if you don't know your self then you don't know nobody else claiming all the people you know Wycliff did a good job being the ambassador and turn everything around compared to what martelly did.

This is the REAL MIAMI ! I'm happy I've moved from Miami but I do miss my home. It's hard living in Miami. Especially for blacks so I pray for my family that's left in Miami everyday. My home #305
I grew in overtown/little Haiti it's about time people saw what Miami really... Black people live in these conditions... But nobody wants to hear nor see that... Miami is not south beach an now there kicking black people out of overtown slowly beach is going to be underwater soon... Is sad... I'm glad to see this bring documented... Miami is not just white and Hispanic... We are here too
DEAR GHETTO, HOW ARE OUR KIDS POOR, BUT THE STORES IN THE HOOD ARENT, HOW IS OUR KIDS POOR BUT FASHION DESIGNERS LIVING GOOD, HOW IS OUR KIDS POOR BUT THE CAR DEALERSHIPS AREN'T, HOW DO WE TAKE OUR MONEY AND SNATCH IT FROM OUR KIDS, BUT GIVE WILLINGLY TO A $100 HAIR BUNDLE??? BUT $100 TOWARDS SCHOOL IS A WASTE
Its a psychology thing. The media tells them thats the most important thing you can have so they go out and make sure they dont "look" poor. We need to educate these black folks instead of bashing them.
I'm pretty sure we if we stop entertaining these everyone (sports, entertainment, buy their clothes) it'll be a difference. I've notice we wear the most expensive shit then the people who actually got money . if we stop buying/doing they shit we could probably make our own shit.
Great documentary. While I felt the Chicago episode of The Field was much deeper and full-on, the production of this Miami piece is much better. Better filming, better production, better editing, better music references (we still need this for the Chicago one, everyone is still asking for various songs/tracks and very little responses). WORLDSTARHIPHOP thanks for uploading these films - very insightful music wise, and also to the level of issues faced by black America. Peace.
