I'm pretty sure that the long black stopper/lid thingy is supposed to be put in right after you put the eggs in to make it cook inside and to lift the egg out once it pops up. The only reason the cheese worked with the green pan is because it had fat in it... I'm pretty sure they used oil in their demonstrations on the commercial.
Nini Leakz You are correct, the green pan was wiped over with a paper towel that had either lard or butter on it, and thus this thin film prevented the sticking. It would not surprise me if the pan was sprayed with silicone, then wiped over. The results would be remarkable for show, but one would not eat the product that was cooked. There are quite a large number of techniques used in photo and video production used for food, and only used to achieve good looking results, but the food is not to be consumed. It is the 'food version' of the stunt-man / body double.

Viv on the Rollie, you need to put the black skewer in to trap the heat and it pulls out easier. Thats what my friend was told when she called their customer care number. Maybe that will help ya.
Yes please and mention if DO NOT buy even if at the Dollar store or WAIT til there. Some of this is bad for the price , but if cheaper is doable (some as not even worth for free. )

stjudeprayer7 that is right .... but i love food with butter ...thst is what gives it favour...and i really can't make sunny side up eggs without oil because then whites are tooo over cooked and then the yolk is not nice and runny ... so ... but joke a side as Julia Chiled tell us that everything is better with butter ;-)))))))
..... how ever you like to fry eggs sunny side up for any fry pan is all personal taste. Sunny side up is how I do it. Our 'modern' pans work perfectly with the butter in cooking the egg. Long, long ago cast iron which rusts, and sticks was the only option for cooking over flame/ fire. . The wife found it won't rust if carefully seasoned,, she would still use oil, butter or oil to prevent sticking. To season modern (ceramic for example) skillets is like carrying the whip for the horse-drawn carriage here in the age of modern transportation. Seasoning is for another era; however if cast iron is your choice, and some people still like it, it needs seasoning. You can look up how to season. :)
Miss Vivian; Thank you for confirming most of my thoughts with your product checking. A little tip for you with those pastry roll tubes. Once you take the outer roll(film) off. Just take it and wack it on the edge of the counter. It will pop. The 1st time you do it it will somewhat surprise you, but after that you'll be fine. Keep up the good work.

I seasoned my red copper pans because when I ordered a set they recommended seasoning and gave instructions. I feel like it ruined the pans because after I did that, they were no longer nonstick. Everything sticks to it and they suck. Just saying!
