I can still remember that bed bug spray odor to this day. I had an infestation about 9 years ago. Worst thing I've ever experienced. I don't know how they arrived, but when they left, I know they took a small part of my sanity.

When I was a boy, bed bugs were an urban legend to me. People used to say "Sleep tight. Don't let the bed bugs bite." I didn't learn that bed bugs were actually real until 2011, when they started being on the news a lot.

That is a disgusting house. Dump some gas and drop a match.

Now, I've worked as an EMT and have just about seen all things disgustingly repulsive and it's never phased me one bit, but THIS is like a horror film! I remember about 1 1/2 years ago when I got bombarded by a Bed Bug infestation that seemed almost insurmountable until I bought tons of flea/bed bug bombs and drowned my entire home with the bombs which thankfully were effective. As repulsive as they are, Bed Bugs DO NOT discriminate when it comes to a home and feeding host. For decades, there'd been the stigma and negative stigma that if one has bed bugs, it was then presumed that said person and their home are filthy...filthy has nothing to do with it because whether your home is CLEAN OR DIRTY, it makes zero difference. It was actually smart of Global Pest Solutions to use direct heat for where traditional extermination doesn't reach every known bed bug problem hotspot(s).

I slept in a house with bedbugs years ago and I didn't sleep not even a hour I got bit up every 5 seconds I was so ichy I have no idea how people can sleep at night with these bugs

This is so sad. The man who was sleeping like this for years is obviously in some sort of mental state (depression, anxiety, or some other ailment) preventing him from even handling this issue in a rational way. I hope he is getting the help he needs, not only with his apartment but also with his mental health.

I travel for work and spend probably 250 nights a year in hotel rooms. It doesn't matter if it's the Four Seasons or Motel Six, you can get bed bugs at ANY hotel, motel. Be aware of that and pull the sheets and mattress covers back to check for the little bastards before you put anything on that bed. They love to travel! I've got em before a couple times, and when I got home, had my wife waiting with a plastic trash bag for the suitcase contents that went right into the washing machine that was all ready with boiling water. As for me, I stripped down naked right there on the front porch and ran for the hot ass shower. Suitcase, trashed. Bedbugs ain't no joke people, don't let em in your house or it's gonna cost ya!

Sad part is, they probably tried to get rid of them for years with no success. It's not as simple as buying another mattress. They live in the walls, in the floors, in your clothes, EVERYWHERE. I know people who have been fighting these damn things for *five years* they did 3 heat treatments right in a row and it didn't do shit. That's thousands of dollars they'll never get back, now they're broke af and still have bugs.

And the sad thing is that bed bugs travel with him wherever he goes. When you have bed bugs they are in your clothes, shoes and bags to share with your friends. Yuck. I used to be a home health nurse and a lot of my patients had bed bugs. I lost a lot of sleep worrying that I would bring them home.

They say bedbugs are not physically harmful, But psychologically this is the most disturbing thing i can recall seeing.

How the fuck can you let it get to that point?... I see one bed bug and my mom takes apart the entire bed and sprays alcohol everywhere lol.

We have been asked a lot, "how do you not bring the bed bugs home?" When we are in the home, the temperature is upwards of 140 degrees, so even if a bug were to get on a technician, it would nearly be an instant death for them.

I am a pest control technician and my husband and I own a pest control company so as you can imagine we've seen some pretty nasty homes. We also do not treat for bedbugs, we refer those out to other companies. I loved your video. I'm glad to see other people are watching it even if it does bother them. It give others the idea that you should never ignore a bed bug problem. Please tell me that no children lived in this house. I can't tell you how many times parent called me to come and treat for roaches so that they can get their kids back. I hope that wasn't the case here.

We had bedbugs in my home a few years ago. Unfortunately this is pretty common in my area. It was HARD to get rid of the little bastard. I think I have ptsd after that. Just beyond gross.

I recently just got rid of bed bugs in my room under my new mattress I bought. I bought some bed bug spray and I sprayed the shit outta of my bed and my entire room I tried to sleep in my bed hoping they were gone, the next morning I woke up with one on my leg that was it for me I had to sleep in my living room for three weeks straight until they were gone.

This is why working with the Heat Team was my favorite job for the Pest Management company I worked for it. It was physically very demanding but being in a single location for the day sure beat working a rout with 15 stops or more a day. You could get in, work hard, focus and pay attention to detail and make sure the job was done right instead of racing against the clock trying to get all your stops finished before COB.

I have been in a home with bedbugs... It was a friend's house (not my friend anymore after seeing the infestation she had and how she couldn't care less) and I woke up and I thought mosquitoes bit me. I checked everywhere and no mosquitoes. And more and more extra itchy bites continued to appear on my skin throughout the day. I was baffled. Then in the night when I was going to sleep I saw this teensy tiny bug hanging on the wall near the bed. I called my husband who, by the way, didn't have a bite for some reason and he gasped "those are bedbugs" he immediately flipped the mattress and there were so may of those fuckers under it I started gagging. We started packing right there and then and my friend was like "Ah, those? I don't know what they are. They come in the summer, sometimes they bite... I didn't know they would bite that bad though. Your blood must taste sweet" Then she was surprised I wouldn't stay the night in the other spare bedroom and wanted to go right fucking now. As soon as I got home I washed every clothe we brought at 90 degrees celsius, ruining most of them, but being sure to have killed every least insect, and threw the luggage in the trash outside, mind you, not our trash, the trash two buildings away from us. Never talked to the nasty bitch again and never have seen a bedbug again, luckily.

I can't believ that guy didn't even clean up for the exterminators! And he didn't even change his pillow cases! YUCK! I would be embarrassed!

When my wife and I had bedbugs for the one and only time (thus far) they were dealt with promptly. The bites, the redness, the itchy sensation… My god, it was awful. I don’t know how someone could tolerate something like that for what sounds like years. Judging by that and all that trash that was covering the floor when the box spring was lifted, it’s pretty safe to assume hygiene is not a top priority for whatever or whoever inhabits that home. Jesus.
