Thats why I ditched Bangkok and Pattaya and went to Phuket. Phuket is breathtakingly beautiful and the people are quite helpful. Didn’t face any scams there and it was one of my best trips.

i’m so sorry for ur experience there but a lil happy that u shared this with us because i was planning to go there but now seeing there maybe not cab drivers and other people scamming is still understandable but a HOTEL scamming you is unacceptable this is very sad i understand that wherever there is a tourism the scams are there but this was too much i still hope u guys had a good time and made memories for a lifetime there

Thank God u addressed this,it happens everywhere even within India being north Indian we went to Jaipur for family trip and oh my god the cab and auto drivers they drop u anywhere with pretext of something else then in case u disagree they get so pissed and start misbehaving.every tourist place is filled with such scammers . worst part is all your vibe or mood for the trip gets ruined due to there malicious intention which is so wrong

We faced similar concerns in our first trip. Despite of living 5 star hotels we got scammed. They didn't care about feedback or ratings from Asians in general. Also a tour company at sukhomvit 11 scammed us for our zoo trip.

Hey there !Sorry to hear about your experience but thailand is much more than bangkok and pattaya . Koh Samui ,Phuket and krabi are some of the best places in Thailand. Sunsets in Krabi and island hopping is something you can do next time .❤

I think Pattaya was a wrong choice, though the experiences that you mentioned can happen with anyone at any tourist place but if we talk about Thailand and its beauty I think you should have gone to Phuket , Krabi and Phi phi..really beautiful and worth to go..koh samaui is next level.. better luck next time and never say never… ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Happens.. Hence when we go with family we chose a Indian group tour. Europe, developing south Asian countries are all full of sacmsters on tourists... Including Paris... So to ensure safety we never get floored by all these travel influencers and go in proper group tours... Just a suggestion

Visited Thailand in November last year. It was my first international trip! I was extremely dehydrated by the time the trip got over😂 Moreover if you go towards Big C in Pattaya, there's a street market where I had my worst experience with the street shop vendors. The fruit lady literally refused to entertain any Indian customer whatsoever and shouted to shoo us away :( Then the famous night market has so many vendors that are so rude to you just cause you are an Indian 😢.

Aditi you should be grateful because my very close family friends went to pattaya beach and there some local men were starring, started forcing for massages or clubs like teasing publicly and no one cared for them and taxi scam is very common and if they are confronted for it they blame language barrier

We were also faced same scam. We were taken to a shady place and wete forced to take the boat.😢 We were scamed from the time we landed to and even departed from airport. From there only I said will never visit this country again. Plus every Thai people we encountered were very rude and will pass racist comments. The only thing i enjoyed in Thailand was the food and shopping in chatuchak. I feel you should have visited Bali with your family. Would have a better experience.

In Bangkok a taxi driver ran away with our money & this was in the airport in 1996. My mum handed him the money & he was supposed to return change but he quickly drove off

Hi Aditi. I’ve been following your content for quite some time and appreciate it a lot. I visited thailand last year as well and fell in love with the place. See the thing with indians mostly is that they visit bangkok for 2 days and then pattaya which are the hubbest of the hub of tourist place. Bangkok like any other metropolitan city requires some time to be figured out, it would require approximately 6-7 days for you to figure out how bangkok works, private cabs scam everywhere in the world and only work on the basis of commission mostly, bangkok is best for explored like locals, via the metro and the buses that run there. Pattaya i don’t even recommend to people, indians have an extremely bad reputation there due a lot of property damage and eve teasing that happens there. Pattaya once upon a time was a tourist destination, now it’s just an overcrowded and extremely overpopulated tourist area near bangkok. Thailand is much much much more than bangkok pattaya or even phuket. There are islands no one has even heard of that are beyond beautiful and with the best people, I’ve met some of the best people in Thailand. I am sorry you had a bad experience this time but for next time, try to give it another chance with even better research and places and I hope anyone reading this comment also doesn’t just make an assumption about thailand based on this video.

Pani ka scam I faced in Bali..they do business with water and now I think it's very common in the south east asian countries..in Bali also there was no MRP for mineral water bottle..koi bhi kuch bhi mangte the..my husband's phone got stolen in Bali and hotel stuff did not co-operate at all that time..

Hi Quirky, I recently visited Thailand with my parents, both senior citizens. And the water bottle scam happened with me as well. Only that they charged 30 baht for each bottle. I was in a different room and parents in a different room. Mummy k room pe bottles nai the post cleaning and they charged 60baht for 2 bottles of water. Then later I went down to seven 11 jo hotel k niche hi tha and got two 2 litres water bottles for 28baht total. And yes, this hotel was in the hub of Bangkok, Sukhumvit

I had visited pattaya with my parents n my younger brother back in 2010.. I was 14yrs old… We had booked the tour via an Indian travel agency, who had given us an Indian tour guide for first two places (Singapore n Malaysia) Thailand was the last destination n they had arranged a local tour guide for us in Thailand.. Initial few days he use to offer us to do things like massages etc, so that he gets commission but we use to always deny. In a few days we were scheduled to go to an island through ferry… he took us there n when it was time to return back he started asking for money.. he told us he won’t take us back unless n until we pay him.. we had no choice but to pay him money to come back. That is how we were scammed 🥲🥲🥲

I can totally understand abt your views of Thailand.... I had visited in 2019, after visiting Bali & New Zealand. I didn't like ppl in Thailand. They were rude at times, didn't talk properly. & after a point i felt like going back home & not coming here again. Topics dont matter, its the ppl who are trying their best to disappoint you. I thought i was the one who was over-thinking abt it, but sorry to hear that u also had a similar experience. It's ok, its a way life teaches us to value good even more. Now whenever i m treated well by anyone or any country, i make sure to tell them & try & be more sweet with them coz i knw not everyone is nice. Done with my ranting 😅

As far as I researched and heard from friends, Thailand trip is only comfortable and scam free if you go there through a travel agency. And a seasoned tour guide accompanies you during the entire trip. But as brown girls, we are 75% safer compared to SE Asians and westerners.

Hi Quirky, Wat Pho is reachable via cab/taxi but Wat Arun can be reached only by boat cos it's located at the Chao phraya riverside. In pattaya people even charge for peeing and yes scams do happen very frequently. But still I loved my entire Thailand trip and loving your vlogs.

But with all honesty, I feel this have nothing to do with the place or country, I have faced auto scam and taxi scam in Bangalore and Mumbai too. Don't think much about the incidents, I know you took a lot of pressure on yourself so that your parents could have a great trip and wanted it to be perfect,and had this happened when on a trip with your boyfriend you maybe wouldn't had minded it so much, but trust me,families don't mind all these hitches at all:) they are already super happy and proud that their daughter is able to take them out on such trips! So kick it out of your mind cz idiotic people are everywhere. And thanks for sharing this,my interest there has reduced to half. There are many other great places to visit instead.

I am from Nepal and whenever I visit to India we face 100 times worst scam than this! Everyone has different experiences in different places. Plus Pattaya is the worst place to be in Thailand, you could have chose Phuket instead!

We got such scam in Jaipur.. Our auto driver deliberately took us to kallu cha-cha shoe shop saying it is authentic, very famous, helps against many orthopedic conditions.. And my entire family bought a shoe... And it was very costly.. later we found same shoes in foot park, costing 5-6times cheaper. And the shoes my father got literally torned after 5 days

Same thing happened with us in Kashmir. Kashmir definitely is a beautiful place but the people over there are not so great. They scam us to the brim. Everyone there is interlinked, like the cabs, the ghode wala everyone are interlinked and they loot us madly.

Night markets are best in bangkok. I loved my trip back in 2019. I didnot enjoy pattaya that much but thankfully we weren’t scammed cuz most of the part we used grab and local transport. Also maybe cuz I looked thai or malaysian cuz I am from the NE. Thailand is best for massages and shopping.The palace would have been great to visit.

Hum recently January me hi gaye they Thailand hum 8 person they pattaya me hotel me hamare passport hi le liye they fhir humne hamare tours travel vale ko call kiya unki bat hui hotel walo se unho ne kaha check out k time passport milenge. Kafi strange laga kisi hotel me waha aisa nahi hota jaha hum ruke they wahi hua aisa. N jub check out hua tub aur koi banda tha towel pe kuch stain lag gaya usse to 500baht liye unse . Mere hubby hum pattaya beach par they to water bottle lene gaye to 600ml bottle ka 40baht liya jub ki hum pattaya mall gaye bad me to 45baht me hume 12 bottle 600ml ki mili.

I totally agree with you! Thailand itna bhi acha nahi hai! Even the beaches are not that good! And upper se cabs karani padti hai… har jagha jaane ke lie! Itni jagha explore bhi ni ho paati! I mean for me being an Indian… GOA is farrrr better place! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

Hey Aditi, if I had known that you booked Pattaya too I would have recommended not to go at all!! Better places are phuket or koh samui in Thailand.. it’s okay, sometimes bad experiences make us wiser.. lots of love and good vibes sending your way❤️❤️
