This guy's tone coupled with his heartfelt lines and vibrato and level of technique is something you rarely see or hear together from one single player. Astounding musicianship! Many people could practice for a hundred lifetimes and never get near this guy's ability to express at the level he does. I can only think of one word to describe his playing. WOW!!!!
I remember coming across this video a couple years ago. To this day, this will be one of the videos that inspire me to play guitar and continue to play. If only I could play this good and meaningful. 😔
You definitely should try to learn. These people on RU-vid doing covers inspired me to learn guitar. It's a healthy hobby and i find peace when i play. But i stopped playing because i don't have a guitar right now because i sold it a few years ago 😅 I could buy one but only cheap ones and I'm kinda picky, i dont like cheap guitars because it sounds awful. If you want to learn acoustic guitar, i suggest you buy those guitars that comes with wrench because you can lowered the strings. The lower the strings the easier oh and don't forget to install the lightiest strings, the lighter the easier. I suggest this brand D'addario or elixir for strings.

Pulling Teeth actually no, i've been playing for 5 years come Christmas but i only had a couple of years of one to one guitar lessons every Thursday, so i still don't know much about scales, rule of fifths or what key a song is sung or played in.
I've been giving music lessons for nearly 10 years. I've definitely had students who were unable to play a lick yet own five high end guitars because they like collecting them and have money to spend.

are all your guitar wall mounts drilled directly into studs? my two mounts are on studs even though they came with drywall screws. if you have any of those wall mounts just in the dry wall, have they stayed in pretty well? just curious. awesome performance, by the way! :)

Yeah been playing for years and years but on and off and I thought I'd have a go at Marigold by Periphery last night, got the main riff down at about 80% speed in an hour or so but going to need to work on my picking a little to keep up :) just takes time! Persevere and remember to record yourself sounding like shit so you can see how far you've come next time...

Musical Instruments are obsolete.. Their only uses now are POSSIBLY getting a job playing for song writers like Sia and Goulding but you won't get paid as much as them. No one can be a Satch or a Vai anymore. You're better off buying a computer and playing a song for the audience while you drink water like David Guetta.

Idk y music went this route.....maybe sort of like hot pockets, instead of cooking a semi decent and healthy meal, people opt for quick even if it's shitty.

Bands like Dave Matthews, Metallica.....hell any real decent bad in any genre can make great money, but all the awards and accolades go to the millennial obsession with music like Katy perry, Taylor swift, Ariana grande, and so on. That's what's playing on the radio all day long, the same 12 songs. I love my guitar, but actual musicians just aren't a thing anymore.....it's not what's popular. It's like the US adopted the Korean style of music.....manufacture as many singers as possible to flood the market for revenue. My ex was Asian and obsessed with K-Pop....it used to piss her off how I kept telling her that all of it is manufactured and they rarely produce artists who weren't trained in xyz

That was really good playing. Guitaring isn't about who can shred the fastest or who can bend the best. Guitaring is about feeling and emotion and sounding good. Shredding sounds awful. This is top notch playing. Consider yourself proud.
exactly, look at the two lead guitarists for Megadeth Marty Friedman and Chris Broderick. Chris shreds really fast but he doesn't have the soul of Marty's leads.
