Mate you need to hit up Australia in summer. Sadly I doubt arrange one for this summer as touring here for Boxing Day test. Love to see your magic on the Indian diaspora here in Melbourne
lol dude it’s fine people of all ages get an education, 30s, 50s 70s. I went to 5 colleges, saw all ages, everyone has their own path. 26 is young af, don’t worry in the slightest
I’ll be 24 when I’m starting lmfao. Sometimes we need extra time to figure out what we want. My aunt went back and she’s 40+ and passed with flying colors lol. So that also lit a fire under my ass.
I hope people don’t take his jokes too deeply. I’ve been a technical consultant for 8 years now, and even I think about going back to school and I’m about to be 34. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with going back to school at any age.
generally when you're that age you do night school, you do go fulltime back to college. Unless maybe you're doing an MBA paid by the company you're at.
“Give it up for not UT” u hit em where it hurts 💀 for context: A&M and UT are texan universities that have a rivalry, it’s a common joke that UT rejects have A&M as their second choice and go there instead
Very familiar with both. I graduated from TSU (Formerly SWT). When my mom told my grandfather, a UT alumni, I was going there, he said ‘oh she’s going to be a teacher?’ It took time and an economics degree for him to get over it.
My Dad was very sick and about to move on. But he held on to watch his Aggies beat UT in the 2006 matchup. He went out on his own terms, hating UT and loving Texas A&M.
@TheJosman yeah, I went to university and was a 21 year old freshman lmao. Left after 2 semesters because I saw rhe writing on the wall. Debts paid off though
@@TheJosman I started college at 21 too. I just graduated at 26 last December. I felt so awkward being older than almost everyone but in hindsight it didn't matter, nobody treated me differently for it. You got this!
The ignorant comedian has never heard of grad school, also the fact that many people start school later in their lives, not just straight out of high school
shit im sick of sales at 33. headed back to finish school this fall. tbh i wish i just followed through the first time instead of wasting 10 years making sub 70k a year and having nothing to show for it.
@@krishshah3974 Agreed, and I'll take it further. If your a DA you're just a tech waiting to get replaced by a cheaper college graduate. Little upward mobility. Also shout out to JMP, if you know you know.
@@crew_the3rdcan you tell me difference between data science and data analytics I am thinking of doing bachelors in data science. also what's the condition of both for future market
24 while still being in school is normal in Europe. These Americans graduating at 10 and buying a house at 13 with their wife of five years and twins on the way. Jesus Christ, just relax. You’re not dying at 25, you’ve got time people!
@aryanandwho-ps2gh I can’t even tell you how often my friend (who’s the same age as me) points out that I’m older than her classmates or older than the sports players we see at her college when we go to games.. It shocks me but I’m also like, why are you pointing this out constantly? It’s like she’s trying to make me feel bad for not going to college, or for possibly going “too late” one day. It’s odd. You’re never too old to learn and to move forward with new things in life, like a career path or college. Good on you for going at all, I’ll never view anyone as too old to go back.
I was a data analyst for 5 years before becoming a Private Equity analyst then now a Private Equity SVP. It's a great career path than can lead you tonmany different sectors. I ended up in PE but VC is another option too. It's a really good skillset to have.
@@Livvv_happy_3727 it depends on your major, studying discipline, and if you have scholarships. Most majors graduate in four years, maybe an extra semesters. Engineers generally take an extra semester or two but if you're on top of stuff and study you can do it in four years. So that means probably 22 or 23 is probably the average age
i love this podcast because its exactly how me and my friends talk, i think we've only ever managed to hit all the topics we've wanted to in a certain time frame once(1) time before and we celebrated so hard lmao
No it's not. Such words could either come from an anxious unemployed Software Engineer who doesn't want to go down alone on the job loss bus, or someone who's not in tech but lies to people that he is.😊 Data Analysts, who aren't lazy, know how to AI proof their role because they not only make Machine Learning models, but also go 10 steps ahead of it in case of anything.
@@shining4994 yes, data science and data analytics are very different. Data scientists that focus in AI/ML (python, tensorflow, etc), have extremely competitive pay, good upward movement in job level, and high job security. Data analytics has a crap ton of competition, is very easy to do (SQL, tableau, and excel), and does not usually pay super well.
@@shining4994 I think data scientist require a bachelor or some paper but data analyst can be done by people without degree, they just need training. It ain't the same at all.
@@scottycatman I wasn't asking for something I can find on Google I want to hear the experience I don't get that by googling it if you have something to tell me pls do I Appreciate it( like the environment difference people to people skills etc.)( However I do accept I am lazy lol- trying to change it though)
Aye you can make a lot of money doing data analytics. But he's right ya know, it's usually the fallback for failed software engineers, etc. Kinda like A&M to UT.
