@@jamesevans938 Yes BBC America showed Top Gear, I dont know of any Americans who liked Top Gear America. What the BBC and others to failed to realize was it was not crazy stunts but the chemistry between Orangutan, The Hamster and Captain Slow that made the show and that is hard to reproduce.
Hello, although I do not speak English if I understand it because I am subscribed to your channel I really like to see how you transform the courtyards of houses with your art and skill, thank you for sharing your experiences and knowledge with us, greetings from Puerto Rico. (use google translator if you read my message you can understand it 😄).
Great ! I just bought this & am looking for a video to essemble it & this is what I see & I have a very uneven front & backyard, not looking forward to using my new mower
Cheryl we are in the same boat. My husband bought one a month ago and has had problems with it right out of the box. I told him to take it back but he insists on keeping it as a "back-up."
My favorite 21 inch mower is the Honda hrx217. It’s about $600 but man it’s a beast! 200cc engine, 2.5 bushel bag, the self propel system is Strong and will pull you up a hill if you ask it to. It’s awesome!
A good commercial quality 21 inch mower is going to be at least $1000 or more new. But they are also made to provide years of dependable, reliable service too.
Notification squad!! That mower reminds me of my grandpa. Horrible at mowing the lawn lol. He lost his legs in Vietnam. Makes it kinda hard to mow the yard:(
I give it a 5 star from a10 because it’s heavy without battery will not even work. I have severe tendinitis in my right hand nerve damage in my right foot at least it gets three job done I didn’t want anything real professional I love Briggs & Stratton and The company is very nice to talk to you in North Carolina
Well, I think Frank Lloyd Wright would disagree with you (search: three legged chairs). I mow a part of our lawn with a cheap, basic Craftsman push mower that the ZTR won't fit into and I can see the attraction of caster wheels. But I'll take two, please.
Haha, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you can't have a three legged chair, just that if you remove one of the three legs, you're done! Yes, two caster wheel minimum from here on out! :)
yeah quite obvious the design is fine, its just the wheels that are too small, thicker or double front wheel go a long way to solveing it but plenty of better three wheel mowers on market anyway
This mower video reminded of the three wheeler ATVs that quickly got replaced by four wheeler ATVs after tons of roll over accidents. The ONLY advantage this mower has over other mowers is the free publicity it is getting for having three wheels. I've actually got the casterless version of that Cub Cadet and decided not only to go with the unit I have because it was $60 cheaper, but it allowed me to change mower heights easier and it was already light and balanced enough to lift up the front end if I needed to curve around an obstacle in my cutting path.
Attah boy Brad!!! Shoot it straight like you always do Bro.!!! You are NEVR A negative Nancy!! And I agree, if it was around $2 bux maybe even $2.25 it would be a novelty, but for 4 bills you can get the Cub Cadet and be killin it out there!!! I feel so sorry for the sales reps of that company. I know you weren't trying to be humorous, but I did find myself chuckling at times. Only because of your constant demeanor to stay professional. Until the next one, Dirty Jersey out!!!
I’m sorry but really how many times can you reinvent the wheel? It’s a lawn mower it’s also cheap, really $500 for an electric start come on it’s a $20 ad on or less for the manufacturer. This is not only a gimmick but a POS the American public is still ready to buy the Brooklyn bridge. It’s good you are reviewing this and bringing to light the shortcomings of this things.
In Britain there is one similar to that one for £260, about 340 bucks. I was going to buy it at the end of the month but now I'm not so sure. I wish I could borrow/hire one for a couple of hours. $340 is a lot to spend on a heap of shite. Having said that I own one in France that cost €1200 about $1800 and it cuts through anything. The more money spent the better I guess.
Yes i watched the video only bc ive never seen a 3 wheeled mower, ..the whole time I was wondering how do u cut over the wheel marks from the mower on the pass???..that 3rd wheel would confuse me....lawn would take longer bc I'd b cutting the where the 3rd wheel is....hahah but u hit it on like number 3 on the cons...
Glad I found this because I saw one similar and was thinking about it a lot. Now not so much. If it had two wheels in front like the one it would probably be better.
The deck, rear wheels, side chute, butt plug handles are all the same as the McAllister we have here in the UK. Although we only have 4 wheeled ones but depending on engine choices these are right around £300-400. All Chinese crap I couldn't even find replacement blades for it
I was going to ask about the 4 wheel caster style. They're nice but a little pricey. I don't need one (yet) but I really like the 4 wheel design. I could never see using the 3 wheel design. They quit making 3 wheel ATV's for a reason.
This is a good video. But I think you made a mistake at 6:40 . Most people will not use this. But the people that invented this, probably found a Solution for Their problem. If we ever find out what it was, maybe we will buy 2 of these ?
Great video and great review. I think my DR walk behind trimmer is more stabile and a lot more useful than that mower is,lol ! I’ve never used a 4 wheel walk behind mower with the front swivel casters but I think they would work well. Please keep the videos coming
@@CopperCreekCuts as much as I like you (and I really do), I don't think it is fair nor my place to announce this. Hope you understand, needless to say Ed Wright is a person who takes recommendations and incorporates it into his company.
Man, I still love my red 90$ no bag mower. Cuts great and last forever. But I fully understand your side because you have a company. Looks like a three legged dog lol
This mower was made for suckers like me that’ll look at it and be like “That’s cool!” and then spend the next 2 months convincing myself that it’s perfect lol
Thanks for the information. I am considering a self-propelled mower for mowing a part of my yard where my lawn tractor can't maneuver. Won't bother looking at this one. Is there a 21" mower you've had success with?
I don't push mow much, so I am not the best one to ask. I used a craftsman when I first started out, but it was manual push. I would take a gander on Amazon to see what has the best reviews, they also have great customer service at Amazon as well if there are any issues with it.
Have your tried any of the battery powered push mowers. I recently purchased ryobi 20in one. Just one now on small lawn. Works fine. Just tired of the gas ones. Like to hear your input on battery mowers
I'd take a wheeled trimmer over that. Makes me think of a mower version of a reliant Robin car. Pitiful. You could part it out and get more out of the parts than the mower lol.
If the caster wheel was moved to the rear, and the drive wheels were in the front, it'd work much better. Either way it's a terrible design. How would anyone in their right mind think this was a good idea?
I was going to ask about a four wheel zero turn version with two caster wheels up front, but you touched on the Cub Cadet (which I wasn’t aware of). Very strange concept that you think would have been fleshed out by a halfway decent R&D department
Copper Creek Cuts do you have an opinion on Summit remote slope mowers? They're an interesting concept but the price as well as some stories I've heard about the company give me serious reservations about them.
I'll be honest, I haven't even heard of the brand before this comment! I know Spyder (I think that is how you spell it) makes a slope mower as well? But aside from knowing they exist I don't really have any insights.
My great uncle would be impressed buy this mower but he still loves his cub cadet riding mower he still cuts grass at 77 years old. (You can’t tell him to stop cutting grass) I be tried but he won’t lol
The price is the forth the headache, especially if there's a little Hill and it wants to go down that hill, and you constantly have to be pulling it back up.! At least with your demonstration people can make their own decision.! 🤔🤔🤔
He's simply reviewing something, he never claimed it was a "problem" to him. Everybody has problems, small or big, in this world. We can't all cry over starving African children. Stop your pathetic moaning.
It is not. But just as a shameless self plug I will say that if I ever get a product I make sure the folks giving it know that if I don't like it I will say so. There is some ECHO battery equipment they sent that I have pretty harsh review videos on.
@@CopperCreekCuts So true. No clue for me too. Like companies in photography will never tell you how many Guide Number (GN) equal Watt Second (WS). And now help from Google either 14-17cc = 1hp. That is like saying 1, 2, 3, 4 equal to ONE. Would you suggests to go with one rated with higher HP or CC w/o prime? So no standard, right?
The three wheel design mower is not a new invention. From the 1930-1990s, there was a regional lawnmower company called MozAll located in Merrill, Iowa and later in Hull, Iowa. www.mytractorforum.com/threads/merrill-moz-all-model-7-made-in-iowa-anybody-ever-seen-one-of-these.1361503/ The three wheel mower had two sizes, 19 inch and 22 inch. The larger mower was self propelled. The deck was made of poured metal (never cracked) and all models were belt driven blades. They were popular with farmers as the entire deck surrouding the blade could be removed (yes, a real saftey issue). The belt drive was a selling point in that hitting the blade against an object did not bend the crankshaft. Cementeries loved the mowers for trimming around tombstones (before weed wackers). You can find youtube videos of these antique mowers.
I wonder if you'll ever be able to review what is known as a 'backpack trimmer'? www.stihl.com/STIHL-power-tools-A-great-range/Brushcutters-and-Clearing-saws/0230/Backpack-brushcutters.aspx This seems like quite a handy tool to have - but you don't often see any of the lawncare vlogs out there featuring it.
I have seen those before on the internet and though they were so cool. Guess it helps even more in ergonomics to take the engine weight off your arms and onto your back. Unless it comes to the US, though, I doubt I will get to try it!
A three wheel mower has been made many times over the last 70 years . I think the first one I have seen was the Good-All or Goodall They was not that great then and never will be great . The next push mowers I did not care for are the mowers with the off set front wheel . Like the Lawnboy or some other brands from the 50 's and early 60's . I think Sears had one or two or two of them . I do like a lite mowers but they have there problems also . They just dont settle on the sod to well and the tires ride up on the grass making an uneven cut . Just too lite . Then there are the really cheap mowers . Sears was really bad for this . Even though Sears never made these mowers but sold them with there Craftsman name on them . It's not just Sears but every big retail store do . These mower when I went to look at them the deck would twist when I push down on the handle bar on one side or the other . A person can see this when the front wheels lifts off the floor . Always check this before buying a mower . Sears was really bad about how they conducted business I learn this and study it for 20 years as I had my own work shop in mower repair . Sears avenged about every 7 years they make a line of bad mowers in both riding mowers and push mowers then for a year or two they made some good ones then the cycle starts over again . Walmart Home Depot , Lowes or any other fast food chain stores that sells mowers is always going to be bad news and will always going to be for home use only mowers and they will never cut right out of the box . You get just less than what you pay for . I have worked on new riding mowers that bare the name Craftsman . People would tell me the mower is cutting grass uneven and wanted me to repair the mower . I find the blades not lining up with one another because of the deck being twisted or bent or a cheap deck bearing failed to seat .or the deck towers not shimmed . Now these are new mowers . I have seen decks rust completely out when a mower was only 3 years old . Just too thin of metal . Sears was the worst for this . Ho BIG NAME BRANDS had it's problem too . So does a lot so called commercials also . I bought a push mower back in 1977 . One of those heavy and hard to push mowers . Back then the mower cost a little over 200 bucks . It was sold by BOB CAT . I still use it to this day and never ever replaced a part on it . I had to replace the blade on it three times thought . They just wear down . It has the same engine as it had when new . It has the same wheels on it as it did when it was new . I had to replace the tires on the wheels though . Yes the wheels comes apart to replace the tires . It has needle bearings in the wheel . The deck is all aluminum and its thick . I bet the mower weight around 70 to 80 lbs . No the handle bar is not black or chromed . It is just galvanized and dont rust or peal . It cuts like a champ and still runs with it's yes that right 4hp Honda flat head engine . Now it's smokes a little and needs rebuilt but I keep oil in it and it is still going . The mower is 45 years old . Mowers should last a life time and back in the day they did . We had to deal with the yearly tune ups that included cleaning or replacing points , greasing , oil changes every 25 hrs . blade sharpenings , replacing pull ropes , or even replacing the recoil springs . Now you dont have to do that . They are what I call throw away mowers . After 4 to7 years if they last that long we just go and buy new ones from 140 bucks to 500 if you like . My mower lasted and saved me a lot of money in the long run . The biggest thing I hate about it is that it is vary heavy to push or I am getting weaker as I am ageing .
O dear lordy, one look at this and I said, NOPE! How can you mow a clean even stripe?, how can you line up on an edge?, and how the hell can you mow on a slope? It's like trying to cut butter evenly, but sideways with a curved blade! WhoTF came up this garbage? Perfect review on a M.I.C.key Mouse POS!
you right your better off with a 4 wheeled 0 turn mowers this looks like a dumb concept great view and thanks for the info on this turd hell a 4 wheeled mtd cheapos will cut better then this one
If you have a basic 4 wheel mower and want casters, check out eazymow on amazon. Around $100 with shipping made in Texas. I've had a set since 2013 and constantly brag on them, well worth the money
